Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 550 Strange Devourer

550  Strange Devourer

Obviously, unusual was the only word he could say to describe this devourer. Because what other word would he use? Beautiful?

Yes, she was.

She was a great beauty!

It was a female devourer. He hadn't seen one since he came into this world, and for a moment, he thought they didn't exist, but the devourer in front of him was a woman or at least had the appearance of one.

But she was not just any woman. Her shark teeth were hidden under her beautiful blue lips, which glowed with a soft, red hue, giving him a strange feeling. Her skin was blue, just like all devourers, but it was almost flawless, unblemished skin.

Her eyes were red, and her porcelain blue skin was strangely beautiful. She bore no resemblance to any person or woman he had ever seen, which made her an unreal beauty.

She had some ornaments in her hair and hanging from her ears, which matched her beauty, but they looked a little strange, the same with her bracelet.

They seemed made of polished bone that detracted from her elegance, although she seemed to wear them as if they were the best.

She was wearing a two-piece dress, white on top and light blue on the bottom. It was fitted to her body but really long, down to her feet.

Now, her hair was one of the most beautiful things Matthew had ever seen—a beauty different from Charlotte's unique beauty.

It was long, very long, red hair with bluish highlights on top. Down below, it was red on the outside and blue on the inside, but the blue contained mana particles, making it glow with a strange beauty.

Despite the fact that it was a lot of blue, it looked beautiful. Fantastic. Unreal beauty.

Matthew couldn't help but be stunned by such beauty, but he immediately knew that this was a devourer—a breed that could eat him and wanted to eat him to acquire his abilities, so he became alert.

When she noticed movement, she looked up until their eyes met.

"You're awake!" She smiled kindly and waved at him without getting up. After that, she grabbed a stick that was warming in the campfire, which had a fish in the end, and gently roasted it. It looked very appetizing.

She raised the stick towards him as if she wanted to give him the fish.

"Do you eat? I made my special recipe today. It sure is delicious."

Matthew looked at her, confused. He didn't know what was happening and was trying to gather information.

That made her confused.

"You don't like fish?" She retracted her hand, looking a little hurt. "It's so tasty; how could you not like it?" She didn't hesitate to take a bite and began to chew it.

"Oh, it lacks salt. Is that why you don't like it? Well, don't worry. I can make more."

She immediately brought out four more fish on a quartz plate with some salt and seasoning. She seasoned them well and then began to heat another one.

"Wait there, I'll give you a better one. The other one wasn't high class, but this one, I'm sure you'll like." She began to grill the fish happily, unaffected by whatever the vampire man there was thinking.

Somehow, she seemed happy and also a little lonely. She was strange, very strange.

Matthew couldn't help but look down at the fish roasting and the roast. They looked very appetizing and smelled wonderful if he had to tell the truth. But how could he eat a stranger's food?

He saw that strange woman taking bites of the fish she had shown him earlier and even seemed to complain saying: "But it's tasty... How strange is the vampire palate."

That confused him more.

"Who are you?"

She looked at him. "Lilith, what about you? What's your name?"

'Lilith? Strange... Where did I read that name before? Lilith, a devourer...' He felt he had heard or read that name before but couldn't remember it.

He didn't give the matter much thought.

"Matt."

"Nice to meet you, Matt. It's okay if you call me Lilith or Lith; it would be simpler. Unfortunately, no one calls me that. Sigh." She suddenly sighed without waiting for Matthew's response, as if she took it for granted that he would call her the same thing as everyone else. So she looked down at her fish again to keep it from burning.

Matthew nodded quizzically, not knowing what to do.

Suddenly, she pulled the fish out again and showed it to him. "Does this one please you? I ensured the fire didn't burn it; it's perfectly browned and has a little extra salt and seasoning."

Whether Matt was a man of few words, she wanted to talk to him. Or at least wanted to give him food.

This time, Matthew planned to refuse, but his stomach betrayed him. He was very hungry from expending so much energy, so his stomach immediately growled upon feeling something so delicious in his nose.

Grrr*

Like a sleeping beast waking up from its nap and needing to eat, Lilith smiled even wider as she heard it and passed it to him more.

"Go ahead, go ahead. It's delicious. I'm sure you'll like it; it's my secret delicacy!" Her smile was tender, nothing like the sly smile of the devourers.

Matthew's stomach kept protesting, which eventually caused him to grab the fish and sit down next to that woman, a little away, just in case. His defenses were fully active, and all of his power was poised to make a sneak attack should he need to.

Any unusual person like her would make him be like this.

Then, he took the first bite of the fish. His taste buds activated, and then his palate knew heaven.

A fish delicious enough to rival or surpass the food Charlotte prepared entered his mouth—perfectly toasted, golden brown, and amazingly soft on the inside. The bones looked like they had been removed ahead of time, so there were no encumbrances on his palate.

It was such a delicious meal that he couldn't help but take a second and third bite afterward.

At that, Lilith smiled happily.

"You like it, don't you?"

Matthew simply nodded softly, but that was enough to make Lilith's mood touch the sky. She was so excited that she couldn't help but bring out another plate with different kinds of fish and seasonings—all natural.

She seasoned everything and started cooking more. "Wait, I'll make you more! They'll be my most delicious dishes!"

She looked excited.

And that was rare.

That is very rare coming from a devourer. She didn't look like one.

'She's like a child whose parents just complimented her drawings.'

Still, the reality was that what he was eating was delicious, and it didn't contain any poison or weird supplements. It was all natural.
