Chapter 282: [Finding Adam!]

"Hey, Cast. Have you seen a black-hair, blue-eyed guy on the battlefield?"

The question confused the three Gods as they wondered what Equi was talking about. And looking at their expressions, Equi sighed before speaking," nothing. You guys can continue," before walking away from that area.

The Gods were about to ask something, but the giants and that Titan began attacking again, making them lose their focus on Equi while she moved away from them towards the other areas of the battlefield.

She walked through the area, looking at everything in front of her, trying to find the guy she came looking for her. Though the more she searched for her, the more she thought he had run away.

"Was it all a bluff?" She questioned as she couldn't find any trace of him.

-Booom!! Booom! BOOOOM!! Whoosh! Boom!

The sound of battle echoed from the otherside, making her turn towards the area where the two of the highest beings were fighting against each other.

Looking at how the All-Father was fighting against the Titan, she analyzed the battle with a single glance before she observed the threads of fate that were connected to both of them.

'Seems like the All Father still has a lot to offer, huh?' She concluded before wondering if she should ask him if he has seen Adam. Though since she didn't have any proper interaction with him before, she didn't bother asking him.

Her eyes then focused on the other Fate Weavers present on the battlefield.

'That kid has surely grown a lot,' she thought as she observed Laplace. Recalling how kind he used to be, she sighed as she wondered,' just what has he gone through to change so much drastically?'

There was a time when she used to believe that he was the one who would save the world. How ironic it was that the guy who was supposed to protect the world was now hell bent on destroying it.

Her eyes turned to the Fate Weaver of Time, barely struggling against Laplace. And then observing the threads around her she sighed before mumbling,' Lirawern, huh? Enchantress… Auntie, what exactly are you trying to achieve?'

She then shook her head before observing the other Two Fate Weavers.

"That must be the forest kid, Zero. So this is how he looked, huh? Hmmm. Not bad. And that angel must have ascended as a Fate Weaver after I have been imprisoned," she spoke out her thoughts as she walked through the battlefield without any worry on her face.

The attacks that came to her were easily deflected by certain revolving orbs around her, while she simply looked at the state of the battle. Since she could escape anytime any moment, for now she simply decided to wait until this war was over.

Given the state of the Fate Weavers, it was pretty easy to tell that Laplace would win. And everything else would be meaningless. Whether it's the Gods fights, or the angels and demons defending the city. All of it will be worth nothing if the Fate Weavers can't stop Laplace.

"Adam, please don't disappoint me," Equi spoke as she continued searching for Adam in the battlefield. She walked towards the area where the Angels and Demons were fighting together, stopping the invasion of Giants, each of them trying their best to aid each other.

~Music~

And then as she reached closer to the city, she began hearing the music that was coming from the city, igniting the hopes of the brave warriors.

"Neptune," she mumbled as she looked at the guy who was playing the flute at the central tower. A weak guy with little to no power as before, but somehow still having a strong impression of everyone present here.

'Adam did mention him… hmmm… should I go and ask him?' Equi pondered before she observed the dancing girl that controlled all the elements around the city, projecting everything to the battlefield, as the mana healed the angels and the demons, and harming the giants, taking away most of their powers.

It was surprising that not a single mortal, angel or demon died in the war up until now, but then again, with a support this big, and the Higher Gods wiping most of the stronger enemies, it wasn't too out of the box.

It was then… Her eyes caught a glimpse of a certain being standing silently at the center of the battlefield.

A simple guy wearing a white shirt over his black pants, taking a walk, one step at a time. His black hair fluttered against the winds, as he kept walking through the battlefield, without any concern of his surroundings.

His blue eyes, half closed, he seemed tired. Though still, with his hands in the pocket, he slowly lifted his face, and observed the area where the Fate Weavers were fighting against each other. And with a sigh, once again he half closed his eyes before he took another step.

"Adam," Equi mumbled with a relieved sigh before she walked towards Adam.

Equi saw that he didn't have even a single ounce of mana within him. He simply was walking so vulnerable on the battlefield, yet somehow… not a single attack was reaching him. As if he knew the blindspots of the war, he walked through it without taking a single scratch on his body, without a single stain on his glistening white shirt.

And walking towards him, Equi's eyes relaxed a bit, before she too walked towards him, parrying all the attacks that were coming towards her.

She helped a bunch of demons and angels on her way towards Adam, making them thank her. When they saw the path that she was talking about, all of them cleared all the giants from the path, creating a straight path and then an empty area, an epicenter where the battle didn't occur.

Adam walked a bit more, closer to that epicentre, before his eyes reached Equi who was about a dozen meters away from him. A smile formed on his face as he raised his hand and greeted,

"Hey Equi! Good Morning! How are you doing?"
