Rebirth as a Time Dragon

Chapter 507: Chapter 507: The Primal God's Counterattack and the Fall of Mighty Gods

In the perilous and dark Chaos Sea, the golden brain-like Mad Lord appeared sacred and noble.

In terms of appearance, this Mad Lord seemed completely out of place in the Chaos Sea, as if it belonged to a different world.

However, if one was drawn to the sacred and noble aura of the golden brain and approached it, the consequences would be disastrous for most creatures. It is known that apart from the Slaad race, any creature that comes close to the golden brain would have its mind and thoughts shattered, turning mad and chaotic.

This is just the unconscious influence of the golden brain on its surroundings.

The Mad Lord was one of the original primal gods to arrive in the Chaos Sea. Initially, it possessed quasi-greater divine power, but due to its extremely low intelligence, it acted almost purely on instinct. It was deceived by Igor, the current King of the Chaos Sea, who took much of its power, causing it to fall to quasi-intermediate divine power.

By seizing much of the Mad Lord's power, Igor ascended to become the King of the Chaos Sea.

Yet, the Mad Lord still unknowingly and foolishly guarded the Spawning Stone of the Slaad race for Igor.

As soon as the Mad Lord appeared, ripples formed on the surface of the golden brain, spreading with immense chaotic energy, precisely enveloping the Balor and Blood Demon.

Boom!

In an instant, the two demigod avatars were crushed by the chaotic energy.

Facing such a vast power gap, demigods stood no chance against quasi-intermediate divine power in the outer planes.

After killing the Balor and Blood Demon, the Mad Lord did not teleport away but also did not linger. It chose a direction and began to wander aimlessly, like a strange creature drifting in the chaotic sea, appearing harmless from a distance.

"Let's follow."

The four hidden gods silently tracked the Mad Lord without making a move.

Simultaneously, after locking onto their target, Garon and the other gods informed the remaining three teams of gods.

The Pantheon gods' concealment of their auras was not foolproof. Once a battle broke out, the primal gods living in the Chaos Sea would immediately sense the crisis. Therefore, to simultaneously take down the four primal gods, all four teams of gods needed to lock onto their targets before attacking.

Of course, this was the ideal plan.

If any unforeseen events occurred, they could take down their target without waiting for the other gods to be ready.

The golden brain moved slowly, wandering the Chaos Sea at a speed of thousands of kilometers per hour, drifting through the endless chaotic energies, occasionally stopping, changing direction, or even retracing its steps with no discernible pattern.

The golden brain was completely unaware of the four gods trailing it.

Even in the Chaos Sea, the river of time flowing before Garon's eyes continued at its steady pace.

Time passed by.

Soon.

Garon received messages from the other gods.

The Dragon God of Destruction, the God of Slaughter, and the God of Strength and Courage all had solemn expressions, their eyes on the golden brain turning dangerous.

The other three primal gods had also been located.

"Shall we act now?"

The Dragon God of Destruction licked his lips eagerly and whispered.

The majestic silver dragon shook his head and said, "No rush. Let Bahamut and the others act first. The Chaos Sea King is the most important."

A quasi-greater divine power primal god should be prioritized if possible.

Especially one like Igor, who ruled a plane and even had his own created race. It needed to be eliminated first.

In fact, if Igor accepted the Slaad's faith, becoming a god like the elemental lords of the Chaos Sea, the gods might not see him as a potential threat.

However, as the King of the Chaos Sea, the Slaad Lord Igor did not seek faith.

Primal gods wishing to return the multiverse to the primordial age generally loathed mortal races and refused to accept faith. Igor created the Slaad race solely to maintain his rule over the Chaos Sea, treating them purely as tools and preventing them from developing faith.

After some more time.

In the depths of the Chaos Sea, there was a peculiar structure.

At first glance, it looked like a magnificent golden temple, but in the next moment, it transformed into a dark, rough cave, then instantly became a ruined, broken structure, constantly changing with each moment.

This was not an illusion.

This was the fortress of Igor, the King of the Chaos Sea.

Its form changed constantly under the unconscious influence of Igor's chaotic power, reflecting his shifting will.

Igor had been confirmed to be inside the fortress.

Boom!

Like a supernova explosion, dazzling divine light radiated in all directions.

Five immensely majestic and radiant gods appeared suddenly, attacking Igor's fortress simultaneously.

In an instant, Igor's fortress was shattered, revealing the figure inside, who was resisting furiously in the tide of divine power.

Igor's form was quite strange as well.

It was a charred, twisted, and bizarre skeleton with no discernible species, lacking skin and flesh, but possessing a striking pair of massive bone wings.

"Igor! You are suspected of attempting to overthrow the rule of the gods and planning to disrupt the multiverse's operation."

"If you don't want to die, surrender now and come with us to the Pantheon!"

The divine voice was booming and deafening.

Five top-tier greater deities attacked together, sealing all escape routes for Igor, exerting immense pressure on the King of the Chaos Sea.

Igor certainly did not surrender.

At his will, the Chaos Sea boiled, with endless chaotic energy converging around Igor, providing him with vast and terrifying power to resist the gods, creating a daunting presence.

Unfortunately.

The gods he faced were not ordinary.

More immense and turbulent divine power surged, causing endless chaotic waves throughout the Chaos Sea, creating extremely dangerous currents and whirlpools.

From Garon's perspective, what initially appeared as a small point of light soon became a dazzling beacon, representing the pinnacle of divine power. Its mere appearance attracted the attention of the four gods, causing the golden brain to halt and turn slightly.

As the Metal Dragon God launched his attack.

Waves of psychic ripples emanated from the Mad Lord, stirring the chaotic energy into a vortex, ready to teleport away, perhaps summoned by the King of the Chaos Sea to assist.

Simultaneously.

Surrounding the golden brain, four mighty figures appeared.

Majestic divine power and awe-inspiring dragon might combined, instantly sealing the Chaos Sea space, surging from all directions to suppress the golden brain.

Boom! Boom!

Two more areas in the Chaos Sea erupted with immense divine power.

The four primal gods were almost simultaneously ambushed.

The Mad Lord reacted quickly.

Facing the suppression of the four gods, it glowed brilliantly, emitting golden steam, with deep furrows on its surface like carved marks, indicating an overload of power.

In the next moment, vast and unavoidable psychic ripples spread towards the gods.

Hit by the psychic ripples, Garon felt a sudden dizziness.

When he looked up again, the Chaos Sea seemed to disappear, his vision filled with the golden brain, which seemed to encompass the entire multiverse, making him feel small and helpless.

Even with Garon's mental fortitude, he could not fully resist the psychic attack of the golden brain.

At this moment.

"Bravery of the Mind!"

Cod shouted, stomping heavily.

Buzz.

An aura representing infinite courage spread out, bestowing the authority of courage upon his companions.

In front of the golden brain, the silver dragon had fully shaken off its psychic shock, surrounded by the intangible and invisible power of time, locking onto the golden brain with his will.

Time Stop!

The river of time enveloping the golden brain halted its flow.

The Mad Lord suddenly calmed down, like a lifelike brain sculpture, resembling a finely crafted golden artwork.

In the next second.

A blood-colored spear, emanating a killing aura, tore through the Chaos Sea, piercing the golden brain, leaving a gaping hole. Simultaneously, the Dragon God of Destruction breathed out dragon fire, engulfing the golden brain in flames.

Faced with the sudden assault by Garon and the others, the Mad Lord was utterly passive from the start.

After a brief counterattack, it was firmly suppressed.

Garon didn't even need to intervene personally.

He stayed on the outskirts of the battlefield, fully focused on using Time Stop to bind the golden brain.

Meanwhile, the God of Strength and Courage countered the golden brain's attacks, while the God of Slaughter and the Dragon God of Destruction relentlessly attacked, weakening the golden brain's power.

In battles between gods, if evenly matched, they could last a long time.

Similarly, in overwhelming scenarios, the battle could end in an instant.

In just a few dozen seconds, the golden brain was significantly weakened. The previously solid psychic energy surrounding it, resembling golden sludge, had almost entirely dissipated, exposing the golden brain directly to the Chaos Sea.

"It's not fragrant anymore."

Garon sniffed, realizing the previous aroma had vanished.

"It seems that the peculiar psychic substance around it, like golden sludge, was what triggered my instinctual craving."

Garon thought silently.

The next second, the silver dragon extended his claw towards the now powerless golden brain.

The dragon claw expanded immensely, covering the sky, grasping the golden brain.

Garon felt a slimy texture, which was not pleasant.

Crackling as the river of time solidified into crystal-like amber, extending inch by inch, sealing the golden brain, shrinking with the dragon claw until it became a small art piece encased in amber, held in the silver dragon's grasp.

"Mad Lord Sendam, successfully sealed."

Sealing or killing were both methods to deal with primal gods. However, these were temporary measures since

seals could be broken and the slain could be resurrected, and there were no better solutions.

Like gods, ancient primal gods were hard to truly kill.

"If the Sword of Temporal Annihilation is forged successfully, I wonder if it can truly kill primal gods."

Garon pondered, gazing at the golden brain within the temporal amber.

Meanwhile.

Just as the gods prepared to leave the Chaos Sea and return to the Pantheon after successfully sealing their target.

The chaotic energies around them surged again, forming a vortex.

"Hmm?"

The four gods looked over simultaneously.

From the chaotic vortex, a massive Slaad emerged.

It was pitch-black, a black Slaad.

Among the Slaad race, only one Slaad was black.

Its name was Sorel, a mutated Slaad with extraordinary potential, tamed by Igor and nurtured as his subordinate. Though not a lord, it possessed the power of a Slaad lord, a quasi-intermediate divine power Slaad mutant.

The sudden eruption of the battle in the Chaos Sea had alarmed Sorel.

He didn't dare approach the battlefield of the greater deities, so he came to support the Mad Lord, only to find it already sealed upon his arrival.

Under the gaze of the four gods, the newly arrived black Slaad gulped.

"Croak."

His voice trembled as he turned to flee, his head disappearing back into the chaotic vortex.

"Shall we chase and kill this little toad?"

The God of Slaughter asked eagerly.

"No need. Our targets are the primal gods."

"Let's go, back to the Pantheon."

Garon watched the black Slaad's panicked escape, marking it with a temporal mark for future use, and said.

There were more than four Slaad lords.

However, only the four strongest were primal gods; the rest were lesser and not worth worrying about.

"After dealing with the four primal gods, the Slaad race will be leaderless."

"Turning them into vassals seems like a good idea."

Garon developed an interest in the renowned Slaad race of the Chaos Sea, marking the escaping black Slaad with a temporal mark for future use.

Next, in the Pantheon, radiant with divine light and filled with gods.

Garon and the other gods were the first to return after completing their mission.

The other three teams of gods returned one after another.

The King of the Chaos Sea, the Mad Lord, and the Color Lord.

These three primal gods were successfully captured, but one escaped.

The escaped primal god was named Churst, the Randomness Lord of the Slaad. He had previously infiltrated Mechanus and even escaped from the Singularity.

"Three of the four primal gods of the Chaos Sea were successfully captured."

"The Pantheon's first operation against the primal gods was not perfect, but it was successful."

Garon thought silently.

Afterwards, following the successful handling of three primal gods and a small victory, the gods left an avatar in the Pantheon. Their true selves returned to their respective planes and began to search every inch of their domains for signs of primal gods.

Garon used the authority of the Lord of the Hall of Eternal Heroes to scrutinize the Heroic Domain inch by inch.

However, after some time.

Before more primal gods could be found.

The Goddess of Love and Beauty, Sulia, was ambushed by a primal god in her divine realm and fell.

Not only the Goddess of Love and Beauty, but also several gods without support were attacked by primal gods. Besides Sulia, an intermediate deity, the God of Theft, and a lesser deity, the God of Tracking, also fell.

In response to the gods' actions, the revived primal gods, now of considerable scale, no longer hid and retaliated fiercely, showing their fangs.

This marked the first official confrontation between gods and primal gods since the Dawn War.

And this was only the beginning.
