Rebirth as a Time Dragon

Chapter 515: Chapter 515: Another Ironclad Evidence of the Dawn Evil God

In the prime material world where the Dawn Lord and the Primordial Sun God clashed...

Compared to the dense, pervasive black fog, the faint golden dawn light emanating from the Dawn Lord barely occupied a tenth of the area. It flickered intermittently, looking incredibly dim in contrast.

As time went by, the golden dawn light grew increasingly faint, while the black fog surged like a tide.

On the grotesque surface of the "Black Sun," numerous gaping mouths filled with jagged teeth twisted into monstrous grins, shamelessly expressing the Primordial Desolation God's disdain towards deities born after the primeval era.

A deep, dark light erupted from the center of the Primordial Sun God, while the black fog condensed into thousands of twisted horrors, like abominable creatures birthed from endless darkness.

A monstrous snake with its body covered in countless eyeballs replaced its scales.

An abominable dragon formed from layers of tiny, intertwining tendrils.

Grotesque wolves with twisted fur hiding gaping, meat-grinding maws.

These endless monstrosities surged forth from the black fog, endlessly attacking the Dawn Lord like a storm, mixed with the dark beams or elongated tendrils released by the Primordial Sun God himself.

The Dawn Lord was hard-pressed to counter the relentless onslaught of the Primordial Sun God.

Golden dawn light burst from the Dawn Lord's body, dazzling yet constrained, trapped in the thick black fog. The grotesque creatures roared and howled, their dark forms flickering under the dawn light but never fully dissolving.

A snake-like monstrosity with eyeballs pierced through the dawn light like a twisted lightning bolt.

The Dawn Lord's face twisted with disgust as he swung his golden divine sword, forged from the first light of dawn in countless worlds.

The golden sword light flashed and sliced through the eyeball-covered snake.

Golden needles erupted from within, piercing through the snake's body, instantly shattering it into countless eyeballs.

These eyeballs exploded up close, transforming into thick, ink-like black fog that enveloped the Dawn Lord.

More black fog creatures roared and lunged, shattering under the Dawn Lord's counterattacks and merging into the fog, significantly increasing its density.

Caught off guard, the pale golden light around the Dawn Lord was soon swallowed by the black fog.

Light was extinguished, plunging the prime material world back into darkness.

A moment later...

Blazing golden flames erupted from the shrouding black fog like a newborn sun, illuminating everything.

Simultaneously, as the golden dawn light broke through the encircling black fog...

Boom!

Thousands of tendrils shot out from the Primordial Sun God, intertwining to form an enormous drill, wreathed in substantial darkness. It tore through space, like ripping paper, and shattered the golden light surrounding the Dawn Lord.

The newly liberated Dawn Lord trembled violently.

Lowering his gaze, he saw a horrifying, writhing dark tentacle piercing through his chest.

As the Dawn Lord looked down, the numerous eyes on the tentacle swiveled to meet his, their gaze filled with cruelty and disdain.

With a firm expression, the Dawn Lord swung his golden divine sword, severing the Primordial Sun God's tentacle. Golden flames erupted from his body, igniting and scorching the invasive tendril.

Soon, the Dawn Lord eradicated the tentacle and even restored his divine body under the radiant light.

However, the Dawn Lord's condition was not as good as it appeared.

His aura had plummeted, significantly weakened.

"An inferior, foolish god, daring to compare yourself with the great primordial?"

"You can't even make me use my full strength!"

The Primordial Sun God laughed maniacally, the mouths on his body filled with rows of grotesque teeth.

Hearing this, the light around the Dawn Lord flickered for a moment. His expression remained stoic.

"Yaheng, I admit I underestimated you."

"But remember, I will avenge today's shame. Dawn will eventually dispel the darkness."

With these words, golden light erupted again, forming a colossal pillar of light that pierced through the endless darkness. Encased in this light, the Dawn Lord's form slowly vanished.

Whoosh. The light flashed and disappeared.

The Primordial Sun God unleashed his dark power, his infinite tendrils lashing out at the golden pillar.

Thwack, thwack, thwack. The tendrils struck the golden pillar, causing it to tremble violently and crack like a spiderweb. However, before it could shatter completely, the Dawn Lord safely left the prime material world.

Boom!

The Primordial Sun God's eyes glinted as countless beams of darkness shattered the golden pillar.

His chaotic tentacles flailed wildly as he laughed uproariously.

"The world reveres you as the Lord of a Million Lights, yet you are as timid as a sewer rat, unable to face the true dark radiance of my being. Pathetic and laughable."

The black fog churned and surged, filling every inch of the prime material world once again.

"The Dawn Lord? Ha, you should rename yourself the Dawn Rat."

The twisted black sun laughed grotesquely.

At the same time, darkness blanketed the land.

Many intelligent beings, who had found hope in the Dawn Lord's arrival, sank into despair and terror when they saw him leave the prime material world, defeated by the Primordial Sun God. The sight of light abandoning them after showing a glimmer of hope intensified their despair.

This not only bolstered the Primordial Sun God's terrifying might but also empowered the Dread Lord, giving him greater confidence in his battle against the Nine-Faced Dragon God. The oppressive aura of terror became almost tangible.

In the midst of the darkness, the vision of the silver dragon perched on the Noah Continent was obscured, unable to observe the situation in the prime material world any longer. The dragon opened its eyes.

"True to form, the great evil god of dawn always manages to hinder the gods."

Garon shook his head, reflecting silently.

This character had previously descended in person to deal with a rampaging arch-lich in the prime material world but ended up wounded, inadvertently elevating the lich's status and leading to the rise of a vast, multi-plane cult.

After many years, descending again to confront the Primordial Sun God, the Dawn Lord was once more defeated and fled. Garon was not surprised by this outcome.

The Dawn Lord's many failures had made it so that his defeat seemed almost expected, while the thought of him overcoming the Primordial Sun God and saving the prime material world from ruin would have been astonishing.

In the Pantheon...

The Dawn Lord's avatar hesitated for a moment, then looked towards the God of Light, speaking softly: "Pelor, I have failed. The Primordial Sun God still wreaks havoc in the prime material world, devouring countless lives every moment."

"You are well-versed with the Primordial Sun God. Perhaps you could defeat this dark deity."

The Dawn Lord's true form was injured, his divine body pierced and corroded, making him unable to fight again for a while.

The God of Light, one of the high-ranking gods, opened his eyes and smiled gently at the Dawn Lord, offering comfort: "Lathander, the Primordial Sun God wields the ancient and powerful force of primordial darkness. Your defeat does not tarnish your dignity."

After a pause, the avatar of the God of Light showed a look of helplessness and continued: "I also wish to confront Yaheng, but my true form is currently locked in battle with the World Devourer, unable to disengage."

The World Devourer, Sothog, a central pillar of the Desolation God's forces, was a near-deity in terms of power.

This mighty desolation god had fallen in the Dawn War but returned from the dead. During that war, many gods perished at the hands of the World Devourer, and countless worlds were annihilated by it.

In the past, the Creator, Annam, had personally intervened, creating tens of thousands of brilliant stars to slay the World Devourer.

When the Dawn Lord took action to confront the Primordial Sun God in the prime material world, the God of Light did not remain idle, engaging the World Devourer.

The God of Light, with a divine rank of eighteen, stood among the upper echelons of greater deities. However, subduing the World Devourer was no easy task for him.

The two had been locked in combat for a long time, unable to determine a victor.

"Can any of you handle Yaheng now?"

Unable to disengage, the God of Light turned to other greater deities.

The God of Storms and Destruction was the first to retreat.

But he was defeated by the Dread Lord, which was somewhat understandable.

"Lathander, I am fighting the Chaos Hound and cannot attend to other worlds."

The avatar of the God of Justice spoke softly.

"The Ruin Lord is strong. I can't break free."

The Orc God of Destruction's voice was heavy.

"..."

Many greater deities were preoccupied.

Having lain dormant for endless ages, the Desolation Gods' return this time was on a massive scale, causing the gods significant pressure.

The Dawn Lord hesitated for a moment, then his face showed resolve.

"In that case, I will use the power of my saints to try to stop the Primordial Sun God from destroying the prime material world."

He declared.

In the plane where the Dawn Lord's true form resided, within his divine realm, ten saints, bearing faint divine glows, were preparing to descend into the prime material world.

Different levels of gods could create varying numbers of saints.

Lesser deities could typically create one saint.

Intermediate deities could produce about

 five.

Greater deities could create around ten.

The Dawn Lord had a total of ten saints.

Though saints were powerful, their combat effectiveness in the prime material world was a level below that of their true forms.

Even if all ten of the Dawn Lord's saints descended together, they could only hold off the Primordial Sun God for a short time. The likely outcome would be that they would be gradually devoured by the Primordial Sun God.

Saints were intricately linked to their deities, sharing the same divine soul and playing crucial roles as authoritative messengers in the prime material world.

If all ten saints were devoured, it would be a devastating blow to the Dawn Lord, potentially reducing his greater divine power to intermediate, requiring a long time to recover his original strength.

"Lathander, don't be hasty."

"The Primordial Sun God's opponent is already heading to the prime material world."

The avatar of the God of Light smiled gently, speaking.

The Dawn Lord was taken aback, then his eyes lit up with a divine glow as he gazed towards the prime material world.

He saw a majestic silver dragon, its scales shining like a brilliant starry sky, tearing through the dark veil created by the Primordial Sun God, making its way to the black fog-ravaged prime material world.

The Dawn Lord's avatar turned and looked at the dragon's avatar in the Pantheon.

"Garon Aurelian, the dawn light will pave the way for you."

He said.

Although the Dawn Lord, a greater deity, had failed to defeat the Primordial Sun God in the prime material world, if Garon, with his intermediate deity-level power, succeeded, it would severely damage the Dawn Lord's reputation. Nevertheless, the Dawn Lord still extended his blessing to Garon.

Buzz!

Golden dawn light descended from the heavens, aiding the silver dragon in piercing a vast gap through the dark veil.

In the next moment...

With its imposing horns and majestic physique, the silver dragon stepped into the prime material world. Surrounded by endless darkness, it still shone brilliantly, its lustrous body undisturbed by the encroaching dark.

The dragon's expansive wings flapped, creating subtle ripples in the river of time, scattering the black fog for thousands of kilometers around.

On the other side...

The twisted black sun opened billions of densely packed eyes, all blinking in unison, their gazes fixed on the dragon.

"So quickly defeated, that arrogant, foolish waste Akaluan, utterly useless."

Hearing the Primordial Sun God's words, Garon immediately understood that the Desolation God invading the Noah Continent was likely instigated by the Primordial Sun God.

Otherwise, given Noah's insignificance, the Desolation Gods would never have chosen it as a target. The Desolation Gods had much higher standards for their conquests.

The Primordial Sun God's voice was layered and harsh, addressing Garon: "Last time we met, you could only drown in the darkness of my avatar, relying on borrowed power to defeat it."

After a pause, the Primordial Sun God's tone grew stronger and more menacing: "Garon Aurelian."

"This time, you face my true primordial form, birthed with the universe."

"I won't kill you, but I'll let you experience the despair of being engulfed by endless darkness until your spirit naturally collapses."

The Primordial Sun God's top targets were his eternal rival, the God of Light, and Garon, who had caused him a significant setback before.
