Rebirth as a Time Dragon

Chapter 516: Chapter 516: Even Darkness Will Bow to the Wings of the True Dragon

The silver dragon's gaze was indifferent, its expression calm.

Surveying the black fog that filled his vision, Garon looked at the Primordial Sun God and allowed a faint smile to form on his draconic face. "Yaheng, I've longed for this meeting."

"Today, facing each other in our true forms, I will give it my all. I won't squander this rare opportunity."

His voice grew low and chilling, like a cold wind from the tundra. "But are you ready to face me?"

A divine dragon figure, glowing with godly radiance, streaked across the sky from the outer planes and merged seamlessly with the silver dragon. Instantly, Garon was enveloped in a layer of divine brilliance, his aura soaring.

In the prime material world, confronting a near-greater deity like the Primordial Sun God, Garon's true form alone wasn't assured of victory. Hence, he decisively chose to merge with his godly self, entering his most formidable state.

The godly Garon, who lacked significant individual combat prowess, had remained in his divine realm, ready to respond when needed, rather than descending to the prime material world to directly resist the desolation gods.

Unmoved by Garon's rising power, the Primordial Sun God's expression darkened at Garon's calm yet arrogantly taunting words.

This ancient and powerful desolation god could hardly tolerate such disdain from a younger being like Garon.

"Heh, prepare to embrace my vast darkness."

The black sun trembled violently, emitting a low, rolling light named darkness, boundless and undulating like tidal waves in the surrounding space.

Dark radiance erupted from the Primordial Sun God, engulfing the silver dragon almost instantly.

Garon glanced around. The darkness was thick, like ink, surrounding him and saturating his vision, simultaneously obscuring his senses and filling his view with inky blackness.

And it wasn't just his physical sight.

All his sensory abilities were severely disrupted.

Even the ripples of the river of time seemed faint and thin in Garon's perception.

"It's not that the time stream has become faint; it's that my senses are dulled."

In the darkness, Garon mused silently.

With a thought, he constructed a simple yet practical light spell.

White light rose around the silver dragon's scales but only illuminated the darkness for a brief moment, giving a fleeting glimpse of the grotesque form of the Primordial Sun God before being swallowed by the blackness.

Garon then attempted a stronger spell, summoning an Eye of the Sun.

But under the boundless shroud of darkness, the Eye of the Sun was consumed by the black fog before it could even open, failing to take shape.

During his battle with the Dawn Lord, the Primordial Sun God had nearly saturated this prime material world with his power.

In a world enveloped by his fog, elemental energy was significantly suppressed, making Garon's spells ineffective.

Whoosh!

A dark tendril approached silently, aiming to coil around Garon's neck.

With a swift swipe, the silver dragon's claw tore it apart.

The Primordial Sun God's attacks came in relentless waves, leveraging the cover of boundless darkness to strike the silver dragon from deceptive angles.

Without the protection of the Temporal Barrier, Garon would have been covered in wounds by now.

Even with the Temporal Barrier, enduring the onslaught of a deity like the Primordial Sun God would eventually wear it down.

Boom, boom, boom! Countless dark tendrils repeatedly struck the same spot on the Temporal Barrier, rapidly enlarging the cracks and dents.

"Garon Aurelian, how long can you withstand my continuous assault?"

"What is it like, being enshrouded by darkness?"

The Primordial Sun God's myriad mouths spoke in unison, their overlapping voices resonating through the darkness, making it impossible to pinpoint their location.

Garon was not the Dawn Lord and lacked the domain of light and the ability to dispel darkness.

Especially the primordial darkness emanating from the Primordial Sun God.

However, Garon had his own strengths.

The silver dragon's gaze was profound and tranquil. With a gentle sweep of his wings, the power of time flowed out like ripples in water, halting the flow of the time stream across a vast area, bringing it to a standstill.

Instantly, the swirling black fog froze.

The power of time gathered in the dragon's eyes, deepening the already universe-like platinum dragon eyes with a subtle hue, reminiscent of ancient times.

Within the domain of temporal stasis, everything unfolded within the dimension of time, visible to Garon's dragon eyes.

He could see everything's past, present, and the future that was about to happen, from a stone to a flower to a person.

This temporal dimension insight rendered Garon nearly omniscient within his time-stopped domain.

**Eyes of Time.**

Concentrating the power of time in his gaze, assisted by the temporal stasis field, it allowed a deep comprehension of the time stream, achieving an almost omniscient perspective in the time dimension.

This was a time-related ability Garon had developed after ascending to intermediate deity status.

Crackling noises arose as the Primordial Sun God exerted his dark power, forcefully manipulating the time stream, causing the black fog within the time-stopped domain to surge once more.

The silver dragon remained unfazed.

With complete insight into the entire time-stopped domain, Garon was already aware of everything.

Turning his head, Garon focused on the Primordial Sun God.

Encased in the endless black fog, the Primordial Sun God paused, feeling the intense gaze from Garon.

He tried to amass more darkness to obscure Garon's senses.

But the feeling of being locked on persisted.

The silver dragon took a deep breath.

The river of time surged and roared, flowing into the dragon's body.

Simultaneously, the wind and clouds changed, and the black fog trembled.

In an instant, a massive silver beast, towering like a mountain, filled the sky. It unleashed an earth-shattering dragon's roar, shaking the heavens and earth.

Standing over five thousand meters tall, Garon's form was overwhelmingly oppressive in the prime material world.

In comparison, the Primordial Sun God's spherical form, with a diameter of about a thousand meters, seemed like a large black ball before Garon's gigantic body.

Whoosh!

Garon's draconic might swept over the Primordial Sun God, the tangible force pushing him back several kilometers.

Once he steadied himself, the Primordial Sun God's gaze twisted in rage.

Billions of tiny eyes converged their dark light, and in the next moment, highly concentrated beams of destructive, corrosive dark energy rained down upon the silver dragon.

Garon's gigantic form didn't intimidate him.

In fact, in the outer planes, the Primordial Sun God could effortlessly swallow a star. Even in the prime material world, he could expand his form to exceed five thousand meters in diameter if he wished.

Garon raised his dragon claws.

Higher concentrations of temporal energy gathered, coating his claws and forming the **Claws of Temporal Fracture.**

At the same time, the silver dragon's wings beat fiercely.

His enormous body generated a gale, sweeping the black fog as he flew directly towards the Primordial Sun God like a silver star.

Boom!

The dark beams struck the silver dragon.

Like raindrops on a lake, they caused numerous depressions and ripples on the Temporal Barrier. The barrier's surface cracked and dented continuously.

However, with Garon's abundant time energy, the Temporal Barrier's luster fluctuated, quickly repairing any dents and cracks that hadn't shattered completely.

The Primordial Sun God adjusted the intervals and frequency of his attacks, focusing dozens of dark beams on a single dragon scale.

Due to the speed of the dark beams, they initially shattered Garon's Temporal Barrier almost instantaneously.

Crack!

Penetrating the Temporal Barrier, the dark beams struck Garon's dragon scales.

The dragon's scales, a natural armor for true dragons that grow tougher as they mature, served as Garon's second line of defense.

The dark beams collided with Garon's dense, silver-gray scales, bursting into fragments of light, like dark flowers blooming on his body.

His dragon scales bore dents and cracks, with a continuous sensation of impact.

However, these attacks hadn't truly injured Garon.

Beneath the dragon scales lay a tough hide akin to crocodile skin, the last line of defense before a true dragon's flesh could be harmed.

As the dark beams targeted the dents on Garon's scales, aiming to inflict real damage, the silver dragon spread his wings and spun rapidly, using his spine as the axis.

In conjunction with the insight from the Eyes of Time, he skillfully avoided the sharp, swift attacks from the Primordial Sun God.

The Primordial Sun God's rhythm of attack was disrupted.

While spinning, the silver dragon raised his head and opened his mouth.

Between his interlocking dragon teeth, the power of time was rapidly transforming into a **Temporal Displacement Breath,** which he exhaled forcefully.

The breath swept away the dense beams of light shot by the Primordial Sun God, displacing them out of the time stream.

The Primordial Sun God's tendrils extended indefinitely, forming a writhing, layered barrier of dark flesh in front of the Temporal Displacement Breath.

As the breath hit the barrier, it transformed into a **Temporal Rupture Breath.**

Boom!

The tendril barrier shattered, leaving a gaping hole.

The Temporal Rupture Breath continued its unstoppable path, sweeping towards the Primordial Sun God.

"Hmph!"

The Primordial Sun God's expression twisted in fury.

The countless mouths on his body moved, converging towards the Temporal Rupture Breath and opening wide.

The rings of jagged teeth within revealed a deep darkness, like the maw of a cosmic abyss.

Crash!

The Temporal Rupture Breath hit the Primordial Sun God.

Simultaneously, his myriad jaws bit into Garon's breath, tearing it apart layer by layer and swallowing large portions of it.

As an ancient and primordial deity, he had every right to his pride.

When Garon's breath ended, the Primordial Sun God's surface was left with a large dent, shrouded in swirling black fog. This fog gathered and formed a massive eye at the center of his body, over seven hundred meters in diameter.

The eye's pupil was pitch black, surrounded by twisting, blood-like threads resembling coiling vipers.

It locked onto the silver dragon, absorbing endless darkness.

**The Light of World's End!**

During the first Dawn War, the Primordial Sun God had used this devastating attack to pierce through the bodies of three beings of equal power.

In the next moment, his spherical body shook violently and shot out a pillar of terrifying dark light with incredible speed, tearing through the sky and nearly instantly reaching the silver dragon.

"What speed!"

Garon's eyes narrowed slightly.

As soon as the enormous eye formed, Garon's omniscient Eyes of Time had foreseen the incoming attack.

But the dark light was so fast that even with foreknowledge, evasion was impossible under such intense targeting. He had no choice but to face it head-on.

Garon poured temporal energy into the Temporal Barrier, layering it repeatedly.

Crash!

The Temporal Barrier dented, twisted, and shattered almost instantly.

The dark light struck Garon's scales.

Even the dragon's scales couldn't fully resist it, shattering under the light and leaving Garon bloodied.

At the same time, the Black Scale Ring on Garon's body began rotating counterclockwise, targeting his scales.

Using time reversal on targets with extremely high energy levels was less effective and more draining. In this scenario, reversing his own body was a more viable option.

Blood reversed, flesh regrew, skin healed, and scales reattached.

The silver dragon's body renewed instantly, regaining its robust vitality.

Simultaneously, the shattered Temporal Barrier reconstructed itself, repelling the surging dark light.

Crash!

The Temporal Barrier shattered again, exposing the silver dragon to the dark light. His newly restored scales broke apart, bleeding once more. However, the Black Scale Ring spun ceaselessly, rapidly restoring Garon's condition.

Thus, the time stream flowed chaotically, inverting repeatedly.

Shattered, reversed, then shattered and reversed again, over and over.

In a short period, by the time Garon had rebuilt the Temporal Barrier over thirty thousand times, the terrifying dark light finally weakened, becoming ineffective against the barrier.

"Phew."

"A top-tier desolation god, with such formidable hidden abilities."

"Perhaps when I ascend to near-greater deity status, I will unlock even more potent time-related powers."

Garon exhaled deeply, feeling as though his body had been utterly drained.

On the other side, the Primordial Sun God's massive eye stared in disbelief.

"You... you!"

"Impossible! How could you withstand my attack? It's absolutely impossible!"

The Primordial Sun God's body trembled.

Garon fixed his gaze on the Primordial Sun God, his eyes growing dangerously intense.

Utilizing such powerful abilities must have been equally taxing for him.

In Garon's view, the central giant eye of the Primordial Sun God had turned a lifeless gray, devoid of vitality.

Moreover, all his tendrils had withered, leaving his body bare and dry. His myriad small eyes dimmed, and his dense, gaping mouths appeared deflated and drained.
