Chapter 518: Chapter 518: The Dawnlord: I’ve Lost My Cool, Time to Switch to My Main Account!
Under the immense, sky-covering wings of Garon, within the Corridor of Time, the Primeval Sun God repeatedly uttered the same phrase and repeatedly shattered the planar barriers. Yet, just as it was about to truly escape the prime material world, it would fall into the cycle of the Corridor of Time again, and everything would reset from the beginning.
In the heavens.
The silver dragon, with eyes lowered, gazed at the Primeval Sun God trapped in the cycle of the Corridor of Time.
Without external assistance, the Primeval Sun God would be forever trapped in this endless cycle, unaware of its plight, repeating indefinitely within the whirlpool of the river of time.
For the Primeval Sun God, each cycle, including its own memories, would restart from scratch.
Therefore, it could not realize that it was actually trapped within the Corridor of Time, its thought process fixed, making it difficult to devise a countermeasure.
The Corridor of Time is also a form of seal.
Once formed, it relies on the river of time itself and no longer drains Garon's energy, maintaining its order eternally.
Anyone stepping into the area of the Corridor of Time, unless they possess the ability to perceive the essence of the Corridor of Time during the cycle, will be hopelessly ensnared and unable to extricate themselves.
However, if a being wishes for immortality, they could voluntarily enter the Corridor of Time and embrace the cycle, achieving a form of eternal life through the power of time.
At this moment.
After shattering the planar barrier once again, the Primeval Sun God's gaze turned fierce as it declared, "Garon Aurelian, mark my words, you will ultimately be consumed and devoured by my darkness."
This had already become one of its countless repetitions in the cycle.
Garon had grown weary of hearing the Primeval Sun God's repeated threats.
"For you, this is already a merciful end."
"Be grateful for my compassion."
The silver dragon murmured without expression.
Simultaneously, within Garon, the remaining power of time surged once more, combining with his magic to construct the Temporal Amber Seal and the World Weaving Technique.
With a series of cracking sounds, under the will of the Time Dragon, a transparent, crystalline temporal amber began to form.
These ambers didn't fill all spaces but rather outlined a vast area, forming a layer of temporal amber around the periphery of the Corridor of Time surrounding Garon.
With the influence of the World Weaving Technique, the space within the amber contracted, causing the temporal amber to shrink.
Inside the amber, the Primeval Sun God, trapped in the cycle of the Corridor of Time, remained oblivious to the happenings outside, endlessly repeating its cycle.
Finally.
Having withdrawn from his titanic form, Garon extended his dragon claws to retrieve the temporal amber, inspecting it closely.
Within the small piece of temporal amber, no larger than one of Garon's dragon scales, black mist churned and boiled. The Primeval Sun God, shrouded in intense darkness, continued its endless cycle within the Corridor of Time, unaware, under Garon's intrigued observation.
This temporal amber, embedding the Corridor of Time and sealing the Primeval Sun God, was the first of its kind that Garon possessed.
After securing the temporal amber, Garon looked around, surveying the prime material world.
All he saw was a land of desolation.
Mountains had crumbled, rivers and seas had flooded, forests had toppled, countless beings had perished in the darkness, and the aftermath of battles between the deities of the outer planes had ravaged the land.
After the battle between the Dawnlord and the Primeval Sun God, this prime material world had been ravaged almost beyond recognition.
Then came the more intense struggle between Garon and the Primeval Sun God.
This prime material world could no longer endure any more conflict; another battle of similar magnitude would likely shatter and dissolve it into ruin.
"This is not like the small world of Noah Continent, and the extent of the damage is severe."
The battles had spanned numerous regions, with the areas of destruction filling Garon's perceptive range.
The scope was too vast, and although Garon had successfully sealed the Primeval Sun God, he was not unscathed, having expended significant energy. He was currently unable to employ a large-scale temporal rewind to restore this place to its original state.
"The post-war reconstruction and restoration of the prime material world will have to be handled by the less combative deities of lower divine power."
Garon thought to himself.
Extraordinary divine power is nearly omnipotent, highly versatile, and can be used to repair the prime material world.
In the Pantheon.
The Dawnlord's avatar gazed at the silver dragon, hesitated for a few seconds, then sighed softly and said, "Garon Aurelian, I underestimated you before, leading to the suffering of countless lives in a prime material world, and the spread of darkness."
Despite Garon's powerful temporal rewinds, he himself was still only at the pseudo-medium divine power level.
Thus, as a deity of high divine power, the Dawnlord had somewhat underestimated this Lord of Heroes.
In contrast, the God of Light, who had a similar but older and stronger domain, with a broader perspective, had recognized Garon's limitless potential even when Garon was just at the pseudo-weak divine power level and had established a friendly relationship with him in advance.
"Here, I solemnly apologize to all of you."
The Dawnlord's avatar said.
From the start, Garon had offered to assist the Dawnlord in dealing with the Primeval Sun God.
But the Dawnlord had refused.
He believed he could handle the Primeval Sun God himself. However, the outcome was far from what he had anticipated; instead, it allowed the Primeval Sun God's arrogance to grow even more.
"No harm done."
Garon's avatar opened its eyes, responding calmly and succinctly.
At this time, the God of Light's avatar turned its head, a warm and friendly smile on its face, and said, "To be honest, I am quite surprised that you managed to seal Aihon."
"In just over two hundred years, a blink of an eye, you have grown to such an extent. It's truly enviable."
The God of Light had always acknowledged Garon's potential.
However, he thought Garon might be able to hold his own against the Primeval Sun God. The result, however, was that Garon had successfully sealed the Primeval Sun God.
Even the God of Light's main form could not guarantee to seal the Primeval Sun God in the prime material world, despite his mastery of a domain that significantly countered the Primeval Sun God's primeval darkness power.
This indicated that in the prime material world, the God of Light's main form was likely no longer a match for the Time Dragon.
For the relatively friendly God of Light, Garon's avatar responded less coldly, also smiling slightly and humbly saying, "It was merely a stroke of luck."
"If it were you, you could certainly have defeated or sealed the Primeval Sun God more swiftly."
Garon's avatar and the God of Light's avatar conversed amicably.
At the same time, within the Pantheon, other avatars of deities also joined the conversation, mostly praising Garon, with some lower and medium divine powers openly offering almost sycophantic compliments.
To successfully seal the Primeval Sun God at the pseudo-medium divine power level.
This was a remarkable achievement many deities couldn't even dream of.
Furthermore, the Primeval Sun God was the first pseudo-high divine power level Savage God to be successfully sealed by the gods.
For many of the pseudo-high divine power level Savage Gods, the higher divine powers had yet to achieve any success. Garon, a pseudo-medium divine power, had claimed the first victory, astonishing them.
Watching the scene of the deities' avatars engaging in pleasant communication, the Dawnlord's avatar's light flickered slightly.
Simultaneously.
In Elysium, in the second layer known as Eronia, which represents romantic love.
In Eronia, there is a divine realm bathed in soft golden light called the Realm of Morning Glory.
This is the domain of the Dawnlord.
Within the Realm of Morning Glory, in a radiant and resplendent temple.
The Dawnlord sat on his divine throne, his head supported by one hand, a thoughtful expression on his face.
On his godly form, glowing with the light of dawn, were faint traces of dark lines, remnants of the corruption caused by the Primeval Sun God. These dark patterns emitted a faint evil energy, destabilizing the Dawnlord's aura and causing his divine light to flicker unsteadily.
When gods fight in the prime material world, they endure the world's rules and constraints. Injuries sustained there persist, even if they return to the outer planes and recover their full power.
The battle with the Primeval Sun God had left the Dawnlord significantly wounded.
Watching the other gods fawn over Garon Aurelian, the Dawnlord felt a pang of envy and even a hint of jealousy.
The Dawnlord symbolizes dawn, the newborn sun, vibrant youth, and exuberant vitality, making him a deity revered by many young creatures. Likewise, he himself is considered a relatively young god and relishes being surrounded by adoration and praise.
However, it seems that whenever the Dawnlord attempts to achieve something significant, he fails.
Trying to establish a pantheon, he couldn't succeed.
Pursuing the Goddess of Fate, he couldn't succeed.
Even trying to kill a lich wreaking havoc in the prime material world, he failed.
Now, he was defeated by the Primeval Sun God and barely escaped back to the outer planes.
If it weren't for the Primeval Sun God's preoccupation and unwillingness to focus
too much energy on the Dawnlord, he might not have returned at all.
"Ultimately, it boils down to my lack of strength."
"If I had the power of Ao, my light would shine over endless planes, encompassing the entire multiverse."
Thinking this, the Dawnlord seemed to reach a significant decision, his gaze becoming resolute.
Then, his figure flickered, leaving the Realm of Morning Glory.
In the boundless expanse of the Astral Plane, in a remote, lifeless corner.
Bathed in a faint glow, the Dawnlord's figure appeared.
Before him was a floating island silently suspended in the Astral Plane, desolate and unassuming.
Due to the lack of care by sentient beings, the island bore various signs of erosion and looked desolate and unremarkable, the kind of place intelligent beings would not choose to inhabit—a place of ruin and decay.
However, in the Dawnlord's view, the island appeared entirely different.
To the Dawnlord, it manifested as a majestic figure with a solemn face and closed eyes, as if in slumber, embodying the island's essence.
Some floating islands in the Astral Plane are the remnants of fallen gods.
This island was one of them, well hidden by the Dawnlord.
Only the Dawnlord could perceive its divine nature.
This god, long deceased, now reduced to an island in the Astral Plane, appeared to the Dawnlord as a tall and slender figure with waist-length silver hair, meticulously groomed, with a stern and dignified face.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time, Lathander."
A calm and rational voice, devoid of emotion, echoed, reaching the Dawnlord's ears.
Within the island, the remaining divine spirit of the god opened its eyes, a pair of perfectly symmetrical black pupils reflecting the Dawnlord's visage.
"Amanator, I seek greater power, the might to fulfill my ambitions."
The Dawnlord's gaze was resolute as he spoke slowly.
If ancient gods heard the name Amanator, they would be profoundly shocked.
Amanator held many titles.
The Golden Sun, the Eternal Day, the Light of Order and Contract, the Guardian of Time. In ancient times, this god wielded all powers related to the sun and was the sole wielder, the true Sun God. The light of billions of suns across the multiverse was under his control.
The dawn of life often depends on the sun.
Nearly every prime material world has a sun, and in primordial times, it was worshipped as a sky god.
Due to the unique nature of the sun, once belief systems emerged, Amanator, initially a primordial Savage God, quickly ascended to godhood, with an exceedingly high divine rank.
In ancient times, the Primeval Sun God Aihon was originally named the Primeval God of Darkness, avoiding confrontation with Amanator.
According to the Primeval Sun God, Amanator was its true nemesis. However, it frequently clashed with the God of Light, treating him as its foe rather than Amanator.
The fundamental reason was that Amanator was a force the Primeval Sun God could not match.
The Eternal Day never revealed his full power, but many gods speculated his divine rank reached nineteen, with a comparable primordial pseudo-divine power.
It was believed that at Amanator's peak, his extraordinary and pseudo-divine power combined could rival beings like Ao, possibly slightly weaker, but not by much.
If not for his early demise, the uniqueness of the sun and the inherent worship of it might have allowed Amanator's divine rank to reach twenty.
Even now.
Any deity wielding solar power is a high divine power.
Tezcatlipoca, the God of Sun and Fire in the Abyss.
The Dawnlord Lathander, the God of Light Pelor.
These three are often called Sun Gods, and they all gained their solar domains after Amanator's death.
Besides solar power, other related domains like dawn and radiance, once belonged to Amanator, as well as the primordial power to command all suns.
This illustrates the formidable nature of Amanator at his peak.
The reason for Amanator's demise remains widely debated, with even the oldest gods not fully understanding it.
Amanator perished suddenly, without warning, exiting the stage of infinite worlds.
After his death, other deities assumed control of solar power, including the God of Light, who acquired solar power later.
The Dawnlord was born after Amanator's death.
Due to their very similar domains, some gods initially speculated that the Dawnlord was a reincarnation of Amanator. However, given their drastically different personalities, this idea gradually faded.
In fact, the gods' speculations were accurate.
The Dawnlord indeed originated from Amanator, but their relationship is rather unique, not that of an avatar and a main body.
Precisely speaking, the Dawnlord emerged as a new god from Amanator's fallen remains, inheriting part of Amanator's power.
Amanator's demise stemmed from an ambitious endeavor.
He possessed an excellent secondary domain of time and attempted to harness the river of time to perceive and merge with every sun across all time and space, aiming to become the singular Sun of all worlds, attaining power comparable to the gods above gods.
However, he failed.
Amanator's boundless ambition led to his downfall.
In the instant before his demise, to leave a chance for resurrection, he guided the birth of the Dawnlord.
Hearing the Dawnlord's plea for power, Amanator's remaining divine spirit, stern and radiant as the sun, said, "Then, become me, and return anew."
