Chapter 585: Relocation
When Allison felt the warmth in Xu Feng's hand, her emotions began to calm down as her nerves relaxed.
However, she quickly came to a realization of how she was able to feel his warmth when he was supposed to have orthopedic casts on him.
'Wait a minute?' She snapped out of her sullen mood phase and stared at the broken cast on the bed.
Alarmed and astonished, "How did the cast get broken off? Those quack doctors seriously dared to go cheap when I paid them a hefty amount of money!"
Almost instantly, Allison stood up and was ready to send the doctors to hell for their ridiculous work.
The possibility of the cast being broken by Xu Feng didn't even come close to her mindset. After all, this kind of cast required special tools to be broken, and she was still new to the Energy Force bullshit term.
Just as Allison was ready to leave, Xu Feng held onto her hand and smiled bitterly.
"I broke the cast, Allison." He explained calmly. "Have you forgotten how the intruder, Vince, was capable of using a small pebble to act like a bullet? It's just a utilization of the Energy Force."
A second later, Allison finally noticed the injuries on Xu Feng's arm seemed to be gone. Previously, it was charred black, almost as if an amputation was required.
However, according to the doctors, the arms were still lively despite their appearance, stating the cells in them were very vibrant. She was relieved back then, but not once had she anticipated the arm to recover within a few days.
"Are you still human?" Allison raised an eyebrow and asked in a shocked tone.
"No, I'm a Demon from hell, tasked to eliminate villains and vile scumbags." Xu Feng responded solemnly.
Unamused, she rolled her eyes in response. As if she would believe his nonsense. "Forget it, you people with this Energy Force are almost like superhumans anyway."
Nodding, Xu Feng swiftly broke off his other orthopedic cast and finally felt alive once again.
To finally be able to use his hands was definitely something to be relieved about.
Not to mention, the term "blessing in disguise" truly played to full in his current situation. Thanks to Vince's deadly attack, Xu Feng managed to expand the amount of Energy Force he could gather from defending and breaking his limit.
If using tier to determine his current strength with Tier 1 being the lowest and Tier 9 being the highest, then Xu Feng would be at Tier 2 now.
Vince himself should be somewhere at Tier 4, close to advancing to Tier 5 though.
Of course, the Vince in his recollection was someone at Tier 7, which meant that his current state was still trying to improve.
To advance in Tier, numerous resources were required, so Xu Feng had a feeling that Vince accepted the job to assassinate Allison despite the risk because of the resources he needed.
'Thankfully, the resources to advance in Tier wasn't a lot, so it eliminated quite a lot of candidates.' Xu Feng thought to himself.
Although this assassination was targeted at Allison, the mere fact that he was hit with collateral damage meant that this was no longer her problem. Instead, it was his problem and if he didn't repay this kind of favor, then he might as well stay hidden in his home.
Sometime later, Xu Feng got up from the hospital bed and stretched his body.
"Phew, it feels good to move around freely." He exclaimed, feeling revitalized. "Anyway, thanks for the care for the past few days, Allison. But you should probably have a relocation to a much busier city."
To live in a large mansion was indeed a dream of many, but when security was lacking that much— to the point that it was somewhat isolated.
Who would feel safe?
Aside from that, her closest neighbor still required a driving of at least 5-10 minutes.
"Yeah, my Uncles already warned me about that." Allison sighed softly and revealed she was no longer living in the mansion.
The mansion was still hers but she was banned from going there unless she brought a ton of security guards. Security guards capable of utilizing the Energy Force which were trained by Alfred.
"Good, so where are you relocated to?" Nodding in approval, Xu Feng continued to inquire further. Since it concerned her safety, he decided to pry a bit more than he would usually do.
However, he instantly regretted his actions when Allison revealed, "One of my Uncle and supposedly my boss now, Ning Huo, already assigned me a condo at Apex Tower. It's Room 361 located on the 36th floor."
"Say what again?" Astonished, Xu Feng nearly shouted in response to that kind of coincidence. The condo he was living in with Erica was Room 360 on the 36th floor. In other words, she just became his neighbor, with only 1 room apart.
"I said, I'll be relocating to Apex Tower," Allison repeated her words.
"Ning Yi also told me you have an office there specifically for training and Divine World related as well. So I can check them out at my convenience."
"Was he the one that made the suggestion?" Explore more stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"Oh, how did you know? I asked him where I should relocate and I was originally going to live with him since he's quite close to you. But then he said it's better to live at Apex Tower so it was decided then."
"Ah, I see." Retaliation dawned upon him as he realized it wasn't one of those ridiculous coincidences or cliche scenes happening.
Instead, it was because he was sold out by Ning Yi who clearly didn't want to be monitored or managed by Allison.
'Ning Yi, you sold me out and got me screwed huh. Then don't blame me for not being merciful.' He inwardly exclaimed.
"Allison, I do have an office there for training, but Ning Yi has been slacking off too much. Can you ask his father to reprimand him a bit and even take away his credit cards or any money from him? I really wished he could lose the fat on his body since it's reaching near the peak of obesity." Xu Feng suggested, flashing a genuine concern for Ning Yi's health.
