Chapter 1012 STRANGE TASTE
1012 STRANGE TASTE
LEWIS HAD nothing to say to his other self called 'Lu.'
This person serves the wrong master, after all.
In short, he didn't like this version of himself.
"Why did you choose to serve Princess Neoma in this world?"
"Only kind. Royal. Strongest."
Yes, Lewis talked like that on purpose because he didn't want to talk to Lu.
But Lu seemed like he didn't care because he opened his mouth again.
"I served Prince Nero because I was gifted to him as a child," Lu said even though this person knew Lewis had no interest in anything he was saying. "I feel a strong sense of duty to protect Prince Nero. But that doesn't seem to be the case for you— it seems like you care about Princess Neoma on a personal level."
"None. Business."
"Yes, I know it's none of my business, but I'm curious. It seems like the world where you've come from is far more interesting than this world."
"Life. Yours suck. Wrong master."
"My life sucks because I chose the wrong master? But it's not like I chose Prince Nero voluntary."
Well, now he couldn't say anything back.
Because I know that it must have sucked to have your freedom taken at such a young age.
Hence, Lewis decided to be a little nicer.
"Princess Neoma saved me."
"I see. Thank you for telling me," Lu said, smiling. "But let me ask one more question: is the Pirate Princess close with Princess Neoma?"
"Yes. Why?"
"I thought you chose Princess Neoma because of the Pirate Princess."
"What's the connection between the two?"
"Since we're the same people, I thought you'd feel the same, too."
"Huh?"
"I thought even in another world, my version would still fall for the Pirate Princess."
Lewis was slow, but Lu said it in a way that he would understand right away.
As a result, his cheeks turned red instantly.
"Oh, you don't feel the same way?" Lu asked, tilting his head to one side as if he was confused. "Or have you just not realized it yet?"
Now Lewis was confused as hell.
Realize what?

"HOW LONG are you going to hide?" Neoma said, looking up at the roof of the temple. "Are you here to be my sparring partner?"
Black hair.
Dark violet eyes.
Ears covered with earrings and piercings.
Yep, still the same.
Even the Trevor of this world had a weird fascination with earrings and piercings.
"This is interesting," Trevor of the Dead World said, looking down at Neoma with glowing eyes. "Princess Neoma, you have something I want."
Right?
Neoma smirked, and then she opened her hand while summoning the Death Scythe. "Come and get it if you want then."
"Ah, that's the thing I'm looking for," Trevor said, looking at the Death Scythe with sparkling eyes. "However, I wonder how two Death Scythes could exist in the same world. The last time I checked, the Death Scythe hadn't left its place."
"Dude, you're one of the most quick-witted bastards I know. I'm sure you already know what's going on."
"How can I be sure when this is the first time I've experienced something like this?"
"That sounds like a skill issue to me."
Trevor laughed out loud. "You are not the Princess Neoma of this world."
"I don't feel like answering your boring question."
"Then tell me, Neoma de Moonasterio— what kind of relationship do we have in your world?"
"The one where you simp for me?"
"I want to be insulted because I feel like you're not taking me seriously, but I also feel so fascinated— as if this kind of dynamic is natural between us. Which is strange," Trevor clenched his chest. "I shouldn't feel this way towards you since you're not the Princess Neoma that fascinated me."
Oh, gosh.
It seems like Trevor is destined to fall for me in every timeline, huh?
That was pretty sad.
However, Neoma had a job to do— hence, she swung the Death Scythe.
She infused a large amount of Mana in the blade.
I need to use this much power to fight someone like Trevor.
As a result, a bomb-like Mana exploded after she swung the Death Scythe.
It seemed like Trevor wanted to see how strong Neoma's attack was because he didn't move from his spot.
Of course, that was a stupid mistake.
She saw it.
Trevor's body got sliced into half.
Neoma let out a sigh. "Oh, dear."

[Meantime, in the real world…]
TREVOR clutched his chest when he felt a strange sensation.
It was as if his body had just died on him because of something stupid.
"What do you think you're doing, Trevor?" Regina Crowell complained. "Are you trying to waste my time?"
Oh, right.
Trevor almost forgot that he was in the middle of negotiating with this damned crow. "I'm sorry," he said sarcastically. "You're so insignifcant that I almost forgot about you even though you're just standing in front of me."
"Do you want to die?"
"You can't kill me even if you tried."
Regina Crowell glared at him.
Trevor just smirked, and then he snapped his fingers.
And, in the blink of an eye, Dilan Crowell's body fell on the snow— in the space between where Trevor and Regina Crowell stood.
Dilan Crowell was still alive even after Trevor ate his heart.
But the bastard was barely alive.
Having said that…
"I made sure that he can still feel pain," Trevor said, raising an eyebrow at Regina Crowell. "I did well, didn't I?"
"I'll be the judge of that."
"Then do a test or something. I need you to do your end of the bargain. You haven't forgotten, have you?"
That was the only reason Trevor was talking to this woman.
"I'll give it to you before the official war begins," Regina Crowell said. "I'll have fun with that bastard first."
Trevor shrugged nonchalantly. "Do what you want."
