Chapter 1013 A MONSTER
1013 A MONSTER
NEOMA was bummed out when Captain Yoan of that world stopped her from fighting Nero and the Papa Boss of that timeline.
She wanted a proper sparring partner, after all.
Hence, he was glad that someone worthy stepped up for the challenge.
"Tell me, Neoma de Moonasterio— what kind of relationship do we have in your world?"
Neoma raised an eyebrow at Trevor's silly question. "The one where you simp for me?"
"I want to be insulted because I feel like you're not taking me seriously, but I also feel so fascinated— as if this kind of dynamic is natural between us. Which is strange," Trevor clenched his chest. "I shouldn't feel this way towards you since you're not the Princess Neoma that fascinated me."
Oh, gosh.
It seems like Trevor is destined to fall for me in every timeline, huh?
That was pretty sad.
However, Neoma had a job to do— hence, she swung the Death Scythe.
She infused a large amount of Mana in the blade.
I need to use this much power to fight someone like Trevor.
As a result, a bomb-like Mana exploded after she swung the Death Scythe.
It seemed like Trevor wanted to see how strong Neoma's attack was because he didn't move from his spot.
Of course, that was a stupid mistake.
She saw it.
Trevor's body got sliced into half.
Neoma let out a sigh. "Oh, dear. Why didn't you avoid that one?"
She was calm because she knew that Trevor wasn't dead yet.
Well, probably.
Thankfully, she wasn't wrong.
Trevor laughed while his body began reattaching itself together.
In just the blink of an eye, the Sorcerer was already as good as new.
"Alright, now I'm convinced," Trevor said cheerfully as if he hadn't been sliced to death earlier. He even had the guts to point at Neoma's Death Scythe. "That's the real thing."
"Of course, it is," Neoma said, scoffing. "I don't carry fake stuff. The only thing I fake is the good manners I show to people who don't deserve them."
Trevor laughed as if he fully understood what Neoma meant by that.
I noticed it early, but this Trevor is really the Trevor I know— he understands what I say even if I use modern language. Granted that it's something you'd get with proper context, I still find it amusing.
Trevor suddenly fell to his knees, holding his stomach as if he was in pain. "Dammit, Princess."
"What?" Neoma asked, confused. "I didn't do anything to you. Moreover, I don't lace my weapons with poison."
"It's not you, it's me."
"What a weird thing to say."
Trevor chuckled weakly. "I guess reattaching my body isn't as easy as I think it would be— the damage your Death Sycthe caused is messing with my vital organs."
Oho?
To be honest, Neoma didn't know that since she barely used the Death Scythe.
It looks cool, but a scythe isn't really a practical weapon. Moreover, as a de Moonasterio, my physical strength is what all I need.
"Princess, I lost."
"Of course, you did," Neoma said, tilting her head to one side. "Did you think you'd win against me?"
Trevor laughed, but he abruptly stopped before falling to the ground— unconscious.
Ah, my chingu fainted.

HANNA had already seen most of Neoma's crazy antics.
But she had to admit that seeing the Imperial Princess carry the Trevor of that world in her arms was still surprising.
There's never a boring moment with Neoma.
"Hey, Duchess Quinzel," the Pirate Princess, who decided to address Hanna that way from that moment, "whispered" to her. "Is that lady really Princess Neoma? The one our family adopted? She's so different from the Lady Neoma Quinzel of this world."
"Our Princess Neoma has a strong personality…"
Neoma trailed off when she noticed that Lewis immediately ran towards Neoma.
And then Lewis insisted on carrying Trevor.
Pfft.
Hanna covered her mouth with her hands to hide her smile when Lewis casually draped Trevor over his shoulder as if he was carrying a sack of potatoes and not a person.
Moreover…
It looks like Lewis wants to throw Trevor away.
Anyway, Hanna also noticed that the Lewis of that world (aka Lu) followed Lewis like a lost puppy.
Have they become friends?
"Princess Neoma, how many times do I have to tell you not to interact with people from this world?" Lord Manu scolded the Imperial Princess. "Can't you just please train in peace?"
"Lord Manu, I know what I'm doing," Neoma said, gently patting Lord Manu's shoulder. "The Trevor of this world will help me a lot."
Of course, Lord Manu couldn't say anything back.
Only a few people can stop Neoma when she's being this stubborn.
"Hanna."
"Yes?"
Oh.
Hanna and the Pirate Princess answered at the same time.
Right— we're both Hannas.
Neoma smiled anyway. "Yes, it's more fun if it's the two of you."
Hanna tilted her head to one side. "What can we do for you?"
"Your Blackhole," Neoma said. The Imperial Princess was smiling, but it was clear that she was very serious. "Let's try to perfect it this time."
[In the Present World…]
"YOUR IMPERIAL Majesty, are you listening to me?"
"No," Nero said bluntly, ignoring the way Melvin clenched his hands. Then he lifted his head and looked around. "Don't you hear anything?"
Melvin, who was a scaredy-cat, immediately hugged himself. "Sire, you already scare me with the imperial ghost attached to you. Please don't scare me anymore."
"It's not a ghost."
Melvin then let out a relieved sigh. "Whew—"
"It's a monster," Nero said, smirking. "A monster has sneaked into my palace, huh?"
Melvin, who was acting like a scaredy-cat a moment ago, suddenly turned serious. "If it's a monster, then I'm not afraid of it."
"How come monsters don't scare you when stupid ghosts do?"
"Because Your Imperial Majesty doesn't know how to exorcise ghosts," Melvin said firmly. "But if it's a monster, then Your Imperial Majesty can just slay it."
Nero raised an eyebrow. "Are you asking your emperor to protect you?"
Shameless scroundel.
