Chapter 40: Chapter 40: The Role of the Cart
"That..."
Mitsy Nohara followed Asuka Shimizu's gaze and spotted the cart.
"Shinchan, what are you going to do with it?"
Asuka Shimizu slowly shook her head, her tone carrying a hint of confusion. "I'm not sure either."
She still couldn't understand why the system had given her a portable cart along with the 200,000 yen reward.
Wouldn't it have been better to just give her more cash?
Seeing Asuka looking just as perplexed, Mitsy smiled and reassured her, "It's fine. Just leave it here for now; maybe you'll need it in the future."
"Sorry to trouble you, Mitsy-sister."
"What are you talking about? How could it be trouble?"
Sundays always seem to slip away too quickly. As the sun set, the moon shyly peeked out from behind the stars.
The Nohara family sat around the dining table, happily enjoying the meal prepared by Asuka and Mitsy Nohara.
"By the way, Shinchan, have you decided what to do with that cart?" Hiroshi Nohara took a sip of his cold beer, let out a satisfied "tsk," and looked at Asuka Shimizu.
Asuka was about to answer when the system's voice suddenly echoed in her mind.
Ding! Host, please convert the gifted cart into a mobile stall and achieve the growth task of serving 50 customers per day!
Hearing the system's latest task, Asuka's hand trembled slightly as she held a piece of tuna. She quickly composed herself and responded calmly, "I'm not quite sure yet. What do you think, Brother Hiroshi? How should I use the cart?"
"Hmm..." Hiroshi put down his beer, stroked his chin, and thought seriously.
"The cart sent by the café is different from usual carts. It looks easy to modify... I feel like I've seen something similar before. What was it again?"
"A roadside stall!" Mitsy suddenly blurted out, her eyes lighting up.
"Yes! A small roadside stall where people can sit and eat!" Hiroshi exclaimed in realization.
Watching Hiroshi and Mitsy discuss the cart, Asuka immediately understood—this conversation was also influenced by the system.
Since it was leading her toward completing the task, she quickly lost interest.
Just focus on eating!
Meanwhile, Hiroshi and Mitsy became engrossed in their discussion, going into great detail about the origins and possible modifications of the cart.
Once their conversation had slowed, Asuka put down her chopsticks and spoke at the right moment.
"Brother Hiroshi, Sister Mitsy, I want to use the cart to open a roadside stall. Is that okay?"
"Eh?!" x3!
"Shinchan, you want to open a roadside stall?" Mitsy looked surprised.
"Sister Asuka, what delicious food are you going to sell?" Shinchan, uninterested in the shock of Asuka's decision, focused on the most important part—food.
Hiroshi was so stunned that he forgot about his beer, staring at Asuka in disbelief.
Asuka remained calm, making it difficult to tell how serious she was.
"Alright," Mitsy said with a smile, without questioning her decision. "If Shinchan wants to open a stall, we'll help you."
"Yeah! If you're confident, let me modify the cart. I promise it'll look amazing!" Hiroshi added. He had no intention of interfering with Asuka's plans.
"Sister Mitsy... Brother Hiroshi..." Asuka was touched. Her eyes wavered slightly, and a lump formed in her throat. She lowered her head to avoid everyone's gaze.
Meanwhile, Shinchan was still asking excitedly, "Asuka-sama, what delicious food are you going to sell?"
"Yes, Shinchan, have you decided what to serve?" Mitsy asked as well.
Hiroshi chimed in thoughtfully, "Since it's a roadside stall, you need to decide if customers will eat on-site or take their food to-go."
Asuka took a deep breath, steadying herself. She looked at Hiroshi and replied after some thought, "I want to offer both dine-in and takeaway options."
"So, a dual-model business…" Hiroshi mused. "That could attract more customers, but we don't have enough tables and chairs. We'll need to buy some."
Mitsy, less concerned with logistics, asked curiously, "Shinchan, what kind of food are you planning to sell?"
She originally thought Asuka might sell desserts, but desserts were usually taken home, meaning tables and chairs wouldn't be necessary.
That guess was incorrect.
"I'm planning to sell a dish perfect for summer—spicy crayfish." (Note: This is a fictional story. In reality, Japan has banned the sale of crayfish, which can only be kept as pets.)
"Spicy crayfish?!" x3!
The Nohara family had never heard of this dish before, and their curiosity was instantly piqued.
"Shinchan, is this spicy crayfish delicious?" Hiroshi asked eagerly.
Before he could finish, Mitsy playfully smacked his arm. "What kind of question is that? Shinchan's food is always amazing!"
Shinchan nodded in agreement. "That's right! Sister Shinchan's cooking is the best! Dad, you're such an idiot!"
Hiroshi, feigning defeat, raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay! My mistake! It was a dumb question!"
Watching their interaction, Asuka suddenly felt a playful urge. She curved her lips into a smile and answered Hiroshi's question.
"Spicy crayfish is fresh, spicy, fragrant, salty, and incredibly addictive. More importantly..."
"More importantly, what?" Hiroshi and the others leaned forward in anticipation, completely absorbed.
"More importantly... spicy crayfish pairs perfectly with ice-cold beer."
"Gulp!"
Hiroshi swallowed hard. He imagined himself sitting at a roadside stall after work, facing the sunset, a cold beer in one hand and a plate of delicious spicy crayfish in the other…
"This is a life even the gods would envy!"
