Chapter 205: Chapter 206: The Betrayal of Senbonzakura
Muramasa's abilities were undoubtedly an abomination to any Shinigami—a weapon of pure malice, designed to entice Zanpakutō to "run away from home."
At this moment, Makoto felt as if his mischievous child had been lured away by Muramasa with a mere lollipop.
"Shinro Bansho, are you coming back or not? If not, don't bother coming back at all. Don't think I don't know that what Muramasa summoned is merely the consciousness of the Zanpakutō, not the blade itself."
Makoto spoke in an unhurried tone.
"In other words, your consciousness leaving temporarily only affects my ability to use the Zanpakutō for a short while. Eventually, even if you're destroyed out there, a new consciousness can form to replace you…"
"What?!"
Shinro Bansho stared at Makoto in shock, then turned to Muramasa. "Muramasa, is that true?"
Makoto's voice continued without pause.
"That would be the perfect chance to replace your diminutive form with something more appealing—a graceful, fair-skinned, long-legged zanpakuto spirit in the image of a mature beauty."
"Absolutely not!"
Shinro Bansho instantly darted away from Muramasa and back to Makoto, red-faced with anger, protesting vehemently.
"You despicable master! You've always wanted to replace me with another Zanpakuto spirit, haven't you?! How could you? I am, without question, your most ideal form!"
But before Shinro Bansho could voice further complaints, Makoto's left hand darted out, grabbing Shinro Bansho by the back and firmly clutching them in his palm.
!!!
Shinro Bansho.
Without a moment's hesitation, Makoto stuffed Shinro Bansho into his pocket. He kept one hand casually in his pocket and used the other to adjust his glasses with ease, as though nothing of importance had just occurred.
Byakuya, witnessing the entire scene, could only think of one word: "domination."
To be fair, an embodied Zanpakutō typically retained most of its master's power. For many Shinigami who relied heavily on their Zanpakutō, they were no match for their own materialized zanpakuto.
Yet Makoto had effortlessly subdued his Zanpakutō, wrapping things up like it was a trivial chore.
Even Byakuya couldn't help but wonder: How is he so adept at this?
Not only Byakuya but even Koga and Muramasa were left dumbfounded.
Perhaps the joke was on Shinro Bansho for being a healing-type Zanpakutō—it was practically designed for comedic effect. With no combat capability, it was captured and stuffed into a pocket in seconds by its master.
What they didn't realize, however, was that Shinro Bansho's strongest ability in its Shikai state was to achieve "Perfect Spirit Body" through Spiritual Particle Manipulation.
Unfortunately, the materialized body Shinro Bansho currently possessed relied entirely on Muramasa's power. It was impossible to achieve its ultimate form under these circumstances.
When Makoto's "Perfect Spirit Body" grasp Shinro Bansho at close range, there was no room for resistance.
Now, shoved into Makoto's pocket, Shinro Bansho was silenced with a single finger pressed against its mouth while the rest of Makoto's fingers casually stroked it.
Satisfaction.
This was the bliss Makoto had long awaited. The sheer pleasure made his entire body tremble with relief.
How many times had it been?
How many times had Shinro Bansho tormented him in their inner world?
At last, the tables had turned, and Makoto seized the chance for payback!
"Lululu~~~"
Within the dark confines of Makoto's pocket, Shinro Bansho felt every inch of its body being firmly stroked, unable to utter a single sound.
'Ahhh... Master, spare me! I won't act out again...'
'No more, please! This materialized body can't take it anymore…'
But Makoto wasn't listening. Even if he could hear Shinro Bansho's inner cries, he wouldn't have stopped.
Though Shinro Bansho's current body was only an extension of Muramasa's power, it didn't deter Makoto from treating it as though it were the real thing.
Sensing the precarious situation, Muramasa made a decisive move. Before Shinro Bansho's body could collapse entirely, he launched himself towards Makoto and Byakuya in a flash.
With his left hand preoccupied holding Shinro Bansho and his abilities temporarily hindered by the rebellion, Makoto could no longer utilize his Spiritual Particle Manipulation.
Under these conditions, Makoto, relying only on basic combat techniques, was no match for Muramasa, a foe with captain-level strength.
Taking Byakuya's presence into account, Makoto fought for a few rounds like a mere healer before feigning weakness and surrendering.
"Damn it!"
Unable to hold back his rage, Byakuya released his Zanpakutō to create an opening for Makoto to escape.
"Scatter, Senbonzakura!"
In an instant, the blade disintegrated into countless petals, surging towards Muramasa in a dreamlike flurry.
"Cease this insolence, Muramasa!"
Byakuya's commanding voice rang out, but before the petals could reach Muramasa, a purple wave emanated from him, halting Senbonzakura's assault.
The next moment, the petals withdrew, and in their place stood a masked warrior adorned with sakura blossoms, blocking Byakuya's path.
"Ah, Byakuya," Koga sneered. "Your impulsive nature remains unchanged. How pitiful that you've spent so long suppressing your inner world."
With a mocking tone, he continued, "It's a shame, really. Now Senbonzakura belongs to me as well."
Furious, Byakuya tried to retaliate, but before he could make a move, the warrior wielding Senbonzakura unleashed a whirlwind of petals, encircling Byakuya.
The razor-sharp petals sliced through, and blood sprayed into the air.
As the petals dissipated, Byakuya collapsed to the ground, his body soaked in blood.
