Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 671: 670: A Cup of Coffee?

After hearing about the effect of his title as a Walker of Dreams and Nightmares from Nina, numerous appeared in his mind and he could not help but look at his status screen.

-----

Title(s): One Of The Four Possessors Of A ***** Graded Talent On Planet New Earth, Walker of Dreams & Nightmares, Limit Breaker, Arcane Elemental Runeweaver

-----

He had three other titles aside from Walker of Dreams and Nightmares.

He always thought that these titles were pointless and useless because even with his Brand Level and current wealth in the Underworld, he had never come across anything that was related to information on Titles.

After knowing that his Titles were also crucial in his path to power and that they also affected his presence in a way he could not yet comprehend, he began to wonder what effects his other Titles had on him and on the world around him.

He was mostly curious about the Titles, Limit Breaker and Arcane Elemental Rune weaver, because he had a feeling that these two Titles were also as unique as Walker of Dreams and Nightmares.

He knew that his first Title, One of the Four Possessors of a ***** Graded Talent on Planet New Earth, was certainly unique, but his instincts told him that his other three other talents were more... Unique.

Corey exhaled deeply, and then he dismissed his status window.

Since he could not obtain any information on what Titles were and their effects at his current level, he decided to push his thoughts to the back of his mind.

Corey leaned into the chair, and then he opened his right hand. Savage's soul stone appeared in his right hand, and he played with it a few times.

He was about to absorb the soul stone, but then a knock resounded in the room.

Corey looked at the door, and his eyes flashed with a white light and then he spoke.

"Come in."

The door to his room opened, and then Divine walked in. He closed the door, and then his eyes landed on Corey's face before it shifted to the soul stone in his hand.

Sensing the aura of a Tier 5 from it, a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes as he sat on the second chair in the room.

"Savage's soul stone?"

Corey nodded, and then he glanced at the soul stone. He threw it up into the air, and then he caught it and gestured at Divine with the soul stone in his open palm.

"Do you want it?"

Divine chuckled, "Only somebody like you would offer the soul stone of a Tier 5 when you're just a Tier 3."

Corey shrugged nonchalantly, "He's not the only Tier 5 there is in the world."

Divine shook his head with an expression of disbelief and laughter, "Basically, you're saying he's not the only Tier 5 you'll kill?"

Corey shrugged.

"Monster." Divine chuckled softly with a wry smile.

"So, why are you here? Is there any news on Neon, Calista, or when the Outsiders would begin buying Underworld residents?"

Corey asked as he sent the soul stone into his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

Divine exhaled deeply, and held his hands.

"First of all, I want to say I'm really sorry for not being able to prevent the death of Old Man Poison. It was because of my weakness and indecisiveness that he died."

"It's fine. You've already apologized in the past, besides, it's not your fault that my Master died. So don't beat yourself too much about it."

Corey observed Divine, and he saw that Divine was anxious. He was constantly tapping his feet on the floor and his breathing was also slightly unstable for an extremely talented individual like Divine.

Corey was extremely curious, and when he saw that Divine's mind was somewhere else, he decided to ease the tense atmosphere.

"Do you want a cup of coffee?"

Divine looked up with a slightly startled expression, "A cup of coffee?"

Corey nodded.

"Huhh... Suree?"

Corey nodded once again, and then he snapped his fingers.

A coffee machine appeared midair along with two cups. The coffee machine and cups fell but a hexagon platform appeared midair to stop it and acted like a table.

Divine had a stunned expression when he saw this, and his expression became weird when he saw Corey making two cups of coffee.

Some seconds later, Corey handed Divine a hot cup of coffee and took one for himself.

Divine glanced at the cup of coffee for a few seconds, and then he took a sip. His eyes widened slightly when he tasted just how good the coffee was, and before he knew it, he finished the entire cup of coffee.

He placed the cup of coffee on the hexagon table, and then he looked at Corey with a strange expression.

He saw that Corey was staring at his cup of coffee with a dazed expression, and he could not help but ask.

"Who keeps a coffee machine and cups in their storage space?"

Corey remained silent for a second, and then he looked up and smiled at Divine.

"Me."

Divine shook his head and sighed, "You're truly an enigma."

Corey chuckled, and then he took a sip of his coffee with a tinge of affection in his eyes as he stared at his cup.

Divine saw this, and he could not help but ask.

"Why are you looking at your cup like that? It's sort of weird and creepy, man."

"My dad bought me this mug before the apocalypse began, and this is my favourite mug. It reminds me of my family."

Divine kept quiet, and he stared at the mug. He had overlooked it before, but he saw the words, Corey, on the mug.

"What happened to your family?"

"My parents were killed by the Temple of Flames, and my younger sister was also kidnapped by the Temple of Flames."

A light of understanding flashed in Divine's eyes, and he could not help but mutter.

"So that's why you reacted that way when we encountered the Chosens of the Temple of Flames."

Corey said nothing but took a sip of his cup of coffee.

"Sorry about that." Divine said, and Corey shrugged indifferently.

"It's fine. It's been a while since it happened, and I just need to get my revenge on the Temple of Flames."

"Well, that's not going to be easy. The Temple of Flames is not a small organization in our Universe."

"I know."

Divine sighed, and Corey lowered the cup of coffee from his mouth.

"Now, why don't you tell me why you came to me?"

Divine inhaled and exhaled deeply, and after a few seconds, he interlocked his fingers.

"Have you ever wondered why I was the first person to come and meet you from the moment you entered the Underworld?"
