Skill Maker in a Game Like World

Chapter 11: Another Monster

The ship entered the river and was able to glide faster by relying on the current.

A gentle breeze accompanied the journey but then they were interrupted by the fog waiting ahead of them.

The fog limited the view so that the visibility was only about 20 to 30 meters at most.

Enzo felt uncomfortable when he was in that fog.

His eyes scanned the river below only to find an oddity where there were small waves coming from downstream to upstream of the river.

This was unusual, something must have caused those waves ahead.

In this situation, the first thing Enzo did was to imagine a skill to see through the fog or anything dark, something he hadn't thought of yet.

DING!

(Your Intelligence is not enough to make this skill!)

"What!" Enzo was somewhat dumbfounded when he saw the notification.

His imagination had actually failed due to a lack of Intelligence.

However, he did not say anything, aware that skills like this tended to be considered complicated and extremely rare plus extremely difficult to master.

Whoever had it had too much of an advantage in a fight. After all, something like mist could be easily created.

"Ehhh..."

Enzo suddenly saw pieces of wood in the river that had been pushed upstream by the small waves.

The pieces of wood ranged from small to large and were actually very similar in color and type to the wood of the ship he was on now.

They just looked newer and stronger.

"No, this is the wood from the village chief's ship..." Suddenly one of the people on the ship shouted.

They also noticed the wood.

"Is the village chief at the front? If that's the case, was his ship attacked?"

"No way! Isn't the village chief's ship escorted by two Adventures?"

In no time, the ship was filled with commotion due to the panic of its people.

Enzo was too lazy to care about them. He only focused forward as he began to sense the looming danger.

Shua!

Suddenly he saw a man being blown away, one of the natives and still quite young.

The man screamed in pain and more horrifyingly his body suddenly turned green then melted rapidly as if he was a candle burned by a huge flame.

He became a green liquid that when it fell into the river, gave rise to quite thick and foul-smelling smoke.

"Isn't he the village chief's son?" Someone suddenly said.

BANG!

Suddenly, a ship's platform was thrown up from within the mist.

It seemed to be detached from the ship's body and was the same size as their ship.

If it wasn't stopped, it would have crashed into their ship since it was as big as it was.

Enzo pointed his hand forward, feeling the need to be more serious to stop this platform.

The water in front of him rose high, forming a sort of water shield.

Splash!

The platform made the water shield scatter but the platform finally lost its thrust, falling in front of their ship.

"All of you, wait here!" Enzo said before jumping down into the river.

As he said that, he even controlled the water and pushed the ship into the swamp on the side, outside the fog area.

As their bodyguard, he wanted to ensure their safety including their ship for the mission to be completed perfectly.

He then advanced forward by moving the water he was stepping on, in a ready position to jump with a pool of wind at his feet in anticipation of something he could not stop.

"Help, help..." He heard many cries for help.

Right after that, there was someone who was blown away, also green and melted.

It didn't take Enzo long to finally see what was happening.

In addition to the one destroyed ship, he saw three other smaller ships that had not been destroyed.

About nearly fifty people were swimming in the river with two men standing on the boat where one of them had the ability to create a huge fireball while the other could turn his hands into elongated roots.

The two faced a huge snake whose girth was like a barrel while its length was like a coconut tree.

It was black in color with green stripes all over its body while its head had a pair of sharp horns.

ROAR!

The snake could actually roar despite being hoarse and its roar spewed out an extremely odorous green venom.

It aimed at the two men who instantly looked panicked.

The man with fire power opened his mouth wide, spitting out a fireball large enough to meet the venom.

Buzz!

The fire burned the miasma but the flames disappeared in no time while the miasma continued towards them.

From the looks of it, they were definitely earthlings.

Enzo also suspected they were from Vera City from their distinctive style.

Of course, they were obviously rookie Awakeners as well.

Both of them were young, probably only in their 20s, slightly older than him.

DING!

(Viperthorn Level 10!)

Enzo finally received notice of the snake and its level made him take a deep breath.

No wonder it was so big and draining. It had a high level and it also seemed to be a terrifying type of monster.

Just because all the monsters below the boss have no rank division other than Half-Bosses, doesn't mean they're all the same. Some are unique and some have very dangerous abilities.

Of course, monsters with this kind of danger tend to give special rewards to Awakeners who kill them.

They could be sure to have Life Cores and sometimes alongside their Life Cores were also certain treasures.

Enzo had no intention of helping the two men.

He was thinking of ways to kill the snake, wondering what kind of attack might work.

Above this river, the snake seemed to be able to move very agilely so sending the attack itself would not be easy.

As someone who had just arrived, he felt the need to give the snake an attack that would actually make it die or else it would be harder to deal with it when it noticed him.

"That chain!"

A long chain suddenly caught his attention as it was also quite thick though not as thick as the snake, almost as thick as a man's leg.

Since it was something made of iron and iron in this world had much greater strength, it probably had the strength to bind the huge snake.

Currently, the end of the chain was stuck on a mound of earth in the swamp beside the river so it didn't completely sink and it should have been the chain from the wrecked ship.

Unlike the wrecked ship, the other ships had smaller chains as they were also smaller in size.

Shua!

Enzo controlled the chain with his ability to control iron.

Instantly, the chain floated in the air while Enzo himself was dumbfounded as controlling the chain with its great weight made his Primordial Energy drain quickly.

He didn't dare to be slow, aiming the chain at the snake's neck, capitalizing on the moment it let its guard down as it was spitting out poison.

Then, he casually wrapped it around the snake's neck.

"Now!"

He clenched his fist, making the chain strangle the snake's neck, instantly making its open mouth open wider.
