Skill Maker in a Game Like World

Chapter 13: Additional Missions

Enzo didn't care about the snake's corpse anymore, letting it continue to be carried by the current.

"Hey buddy!" Suddenly he heard a voice that seemed to be directed at him.

He looked back, finding the two Awakener coming towards him.

They couldn't walk on water, but they weren't swimming either.

They were stepping on a root made by one of them.

The root seemed to reach the bottom of the river.

Enzo looked at them calmly, relaxed.

In the Primordial World, everything was determined by strength. In front of two weaker people, he showed no concern at all towards their intentions.

Even on earth, there was nothing to worry about in front of those who were weaker.

The important thing was that they were not the children of stronger Awakeners.

Although the two seemed to be people of elite origin, Enzo thought they were just like the school students he had met at the Primordial Association with parents and families who were still just ordinary humans.

"Buddy, I'm James, what's your name?" asked the man with the power of fire while trying to show a relaxed and friendly expression so that Enzo had the thought that they might want to be friendly with him.

This was very common for newbie Awakeners as they didn't have much experience yet.

The man had flame-like red hair and a handsome but messy-looking face due to the results of fighting with the snake.

"And I'm Owen," added the man with root strength.

He was rather thin and had fairly long hair while his eyes looked slanted, as if he also had Asian blood.

He then said, "we are newbies who have only been in the Primordial World for a few days and this is our first mission, guarding that group that wants to immigrate. There were actually four other Novice Awakeners doing the same thing, but they chose to return to Earth after realizing the power of the snake."

He told Enzo the things that happened before his arrival and that this was beyond his expectations.

That there were many Awakeners in this place was really quite surprising.

Unfortunately, they ran away so quickly out of fear.

It was also a bit of a relief for the Awakeners because their death in this world was a real death. There was no such thing as respawning.

"You seem to be on the same mission..." James continued with a smile then said, "How about we go together to Fogmira City? After all, the group you're escorting will definitely join the group from their village. We see that you are very strong and have extraordinary abilities, so I won't hide our intentions, we hope that traveling with you will make us safer so that we won't have to return to earth."

The man laughed slightly when he said the last sentence while Owen cleared his throat lightly.

As Enzo had expected, they did want to be friends with him.

For him this was not something he needed to reject because he could not slap people who smiled at him.

He could be friends with them as long as it was mutual.

"Fine, we can go together. My name is Enzo," he said in response. "However, I hope you guys don't mind if I take the missions of the groups left behind by their bodyguards."

"Hahaha, of course that's no problem. That would be more appropriate for you..." James laughed at his wish.

While they were talking, the locals were busy trying to board their ship on their own.

Enzo wasn't really sure why they were all in the water. Perhaps they were pushed over by the waves caused by the snake's rampage.

And because of the destruction of the largest ship, the remaining ships became more crowded.

Not long after they boarded the ship, the old man who was the leader of the group Enzo was escorting, Garun, came over with his ship.

"Mr. Adventure!" He greeted Enzo politely.

"My two friends want you to escort them as well," he said which made Enzo's eyes light up.

He had not asked but this request came to him on its own.

"What would they offer?" he asked in response, not hiding his desire for payment.

After all, he had shown incredible strength, so it was only natural that he behaved this way.

Hearing the question, Garun glanced back, signaling the two ships to approach.

Each of those ships was also led by an old man.

One of them seemed to be more authoritative in that his clothes were one level nicer than the other, lacking the impression of a farmer.

Perhaps he was the village chief that the people on Garun's ship were talking about.

Enzo focused more on him because he was actually carrying a spear made entirely of gold and beautifully engraved where the tip had a dragon's head carved on it.

"Mr. Adventure, this is what I can offer. This spear is a legacy from my family, it has been passed down for ten generations yet it is still clean..." The village chief said as he arrived in front of Enzo.

He and the other old man had heard his conversation with Garun.

DING!

(Rank 2 Tier A Weapon!)

Enzo received a notification that made his eyes shine brightly.

The knife was a Rank 1 Tier C weapon, the lowest type.

Rank 2 weapons were basically for Expert Awakeners and Tier A meant it was the strongest type.

The price of weapons at this level was really very expensive.

He quickly nodded.

"I will escort you and will guarantee your safety all the way to Fogmira City," he said with a confident smile before looking at the other old man.

"Mr. Adventure, I can only give you this," the old man said when their gazes met.

He seemed humble, which was probably because he realized what he could give was not as good as the village chief.

As he spoke, he opened a wooden box similar to Garun's.

The object inside turned out to be something similar to paper but probably made of leather.

It was small and had a picture of a net on it.

Enzo knitted his brows as he wasn't sure what it was until he got the notification.

DING!

(Monster Seal; is a tool to enslave a monster. You can drip your blood and the blood of the monster you want to enslave on it.)
