Sonic Boom: Friends zone

"Shadow The Hedgehog, this question is directed to you. Why do you hate Sonic?" Soar The Eagle asked and the audience gasped. Just as Shadow was about to speak, Eggman appeared with Orbot and Cubot. "What are you doing here Egg head?" Sonic asked furiously. The audience were shouting like crazy even though nothing had happened, some of them ran away. "Oh... Sonic, you are so shameless. I didn't receive an invitation to your reunion party so I brought myself here. Tsk tsk tsk... You are indeed shameless. You finally decided to wear pants." Eggman said and chuckled."Well Eggman, there's a reason why you haven't been invited." Sonic said.Eggman yawned and said, "I wasn't planning on attacking but since this conversation is so boring, then there's no exception. Bee bots attack." Then a bunch of bee bots appeared attacking Sonic and friends. The remaining audience had no choice but to run away including Soar The Eagle and the camera men.Sonic chuckled as he and the rest destroyed all the bee bots. "Eggman, this battle seems too easy though." Sonic said and smirked.Eggman sighed and then smirked back, "Of course it's too easy. Am I blind?""Well Eggman, since you have nothing to offer, then leave." Amy shouted. "We've had enough.""Oh really?" Eggman asked sarcastically as a giant robot shaped as a crab appeared. "I call it Crab bot 2.0." Sonic hit his head out of frustration, "You still couldn't think of better name." "Oh... You blue pest have no rights to criticize my achievements.""More like failure." Sonic said as he quickly rolled into a ball, his favorite move; the spin dash and hit the crab bot which fell down, destroyed.Eggman growled and flew away.Shadow stood up, about to leave then Amy stopped him. "The show isn't over." She said smiling."But it seems like it is." Tails said. "The camera men and the audience had left during the attack." Sticks added."We would have to continue from where we stopped tomorrow." Knuckles concluded. Everyone except Shadow nodded."Well Shadow, will you come over tomorrow?" Amy asked. Shadow nodded and teleported to his cave. "That's a yes. Good night everyone." Amy said as she was walking away. Sticks bade the others good bye and ran to Amy."Are you sure Shadow might come tomorrow?" Sticks asked. "I'm not so sure..." Amy paused. Sticks murmured "Hmm..." Amy continued, "But I hope he comes. I feel like we can sort out our issues and become very good friends.""Are you sure that will ever happen? 'Cause he's Shadow and his ego won't allow him to apologize to anyone. Or what if he gets angry and attempt to destroy the world. Or... Or he teams up with Eggm-" Amy cut her short, "That's why I said I hope he comes around and besides why would Shadow team up with Eggman without a valid reason. He's too smart for that.""Oh well. I'm tired. Today was exhausting." Sticks complained. "It was indeed." Amy said. ***Meanwhile***"We need to reorganize this reunion party." Tails said. "What do we do, Sonic?"Sonic responded with a 'I don't know ' look. While Knuckles was making out with Stacey. "Can you two get a room? We trying to focus here." Tails said. Knuckles and Stacey ignored Tails and continued their make out session. Tails sighed." Well, we'll need to organize this in a private hall." Sonic said. "But the village doesn't have one unfortunately." Tails reminded him."But do we really need the audience present? We can just do a live session at Comedy Chimp's studio or what do you think?" Tails then suggested."We can but the audience makes it more interesting. Didn't you see the way they applauded for us and when they reacted to Soar's question." Sonic said."I did but... Fine, we can invite a few audience though." Tails said and Sonic nodded in agreement. "But will Shadow come around?""I don't know and I don't really care." Sonic responsed."See you around, Sonic..." He then faced the couple that were so engrossed at staring at themselves. "See you around, Knuckles and Stacey." ***No response***Tails knew they wouldn't hear him but he didn't mind, he did his part by greeting them and he flew away. Sonic then left the couple and went home. Knuckles finally separated with Stacey and walked home. The next morning, Sonic and Tails were at Comedy Chimp's studio, preparing for the live reunion. Tails had called Knuckles earlier but he didn't show up. He was too busy taking Stacey on a tour around the village. After Tails had finished with the technical work, he decided to call Amy. Amy was outside, sipping her tea when Tails called through the communicator, she answered immediately, "How's it going Tails?""It's going well, is Shadow going to come over?""I don't know." She said as she scratched her head. "Oh. Sonic isn't taking this reunion with Shadow very seriously. I saw how they wanted to apologize so bad but their ego wouldn't let them." Tails said."I saw it too but Sonic's a bit stubborn." Amy said. "I know they would become very good friends."Tails nodded in agreement. Amy was right, they would be very good friends but what he didn't understand was why they didn't want to be bigger person and sort their issues out. Tails said good bye and ended the call.Shadow just woke up, already eating grapes. He sighed out of boredom. As expected he received a letter from Amy. He opened it. Amy wanted to be sure if he would attend the reunion. Since he couldn't reply, he decided to come. Actually he would have attended even though Amy didn't send any letter but it meant Amy cared about him, he couldn't help it but smile. Then he thought of Maria. "Maria... I wish you were here with me."It was already time for the live reunion, a few people were invited as the audience, the camera men were set and every one except Shadow were present. Comedy Chimp was feeling a lot better so he would be the one to ask the questions. Soon, Eggman with Orbot and Cubot appeared, "Sorry, I had to do my laundry." Eggman said as he took a seat. Sonic had invited him inorder for Eggman not to ruin tonight's show. Just as the show was about to start, Shadow appeared and sat beside Amy. Of course this made Sonic annoyed but why was he annoyed. He didn't see Amy that way.Comedy Chimp did the introduction and asked the big question... Over again!!!"Shadow, Why do you hate Sonic?" "He's a faker and a coward." Shadow replied with an emotionless expression. Of course the aid gasped and Comedy Chimp just lost it. He started shouting at Shadow for no reason and after that he was too emotional to speak and Soar The Eagle wasn't available. Eggman volunteered and everyone except Sonic and Shadow agreed.Eggman took over, he introduced himself as Sonic's arch nemesis and advertised his company, Eggman industries. He then asked Shadow, "Do you have a thing for Amy?" The audience gasped again. And Amy was even more shocked, why would Shadow like her. It's not like they talked or anything. Sonic was more irritated, why Amy of all girls and also why was he worried.Shadow eyes fell on Amy then he smiled. What was that about, was he in love with Amy all of a sudden. No, It can't be. He only liked the fact she reached out to him and that was all. She was only being nice and they never talked properly. Eggman chuckled and then he frowned, refusing to answer Eggman. It was obvious that the question wasn't from the script, Eggman had observed the way he stared at Amy through out and decided to tease Shadow which was quite amusing to him of course.It was already mid night and the show finally ended, the audience and crew had left. It was only Sonic and friends, Doctor Eggman and Shadow that remained there. Sonic was about to criticize Eggman when Amy asked Eggman why he had asked such a question."It's... It- " Eggman was hesitant to speak then Sonic cut him off. "Egg head, you really don't need to explain yourself." He scoffed and was about to leave when Shadow, with an act of impulse stopped him. The others were surprised. Sonic wanted to break free but Shadow's grip was too strong. Amy begged for him to let go, only thn did he let go of Sonic. Sonic feeling defeated sighed. "It seems like there is a problem between you two." Amy said as she pointed at Sonic and Shadow. "You two clearly want to sort your issues out but you're too chicken to be the bigger person.""Chicken???" Sonic said clearly annoyed. "Amy,you've crossed your limits."Shadow just kept quiet, it was already obvious that he wanted to apologize so he should just put his ego aside and be the bigger person. He was thinking about Maria again. He missed his best friend so much. If only she were here with him, he wouldn't have to deal with all of these but he accepted his fate. Amy continued lecturing Sonic and Shadow and reluctantly they both agreed on sorting out their issues. "Well, I... I am so...orry." Shadow muttered. Sonic nodded and apologized too. Amy was so happy finally, these two might actually be good friends. The others cheered on for them. "Finally, Shadow joins team Sonic." Tails said with excitement."Team Sonic? Why does everything have to be about you, faker?" Shadow asked expressionless."I dunno... Maybe 'cause I'm the hot one here or I'm the main character in this whole organization." Sonic smirked. Shadow just rolled his eyes and left by teleporting. Shadow felt relieved, finally he had friends. Maria had been his only friend and even since she died, Shadow's life felt empty but Sonic had his friends and though that made him a coward but still he had people he could relate with,share his problems with while he, Shadow was there in pain with no one to talk to. It was really tough for him but now it will all change 'cause he had friends.Eggman had returned home hatching his new plan which was him later sleeping on the couch with the TV on.Spoiler Alert!!!"Rouge The Bat would be finally introduced in Sonic boom in the next chapter.Sorry guys but there would be a delay in making the next chapter.
