Souls Bound by Destiny

Chapter 4: Part 4:

Jinah: *She rolls her eyes, still grinning.* Sure, Oppa. Whatever you say. Just don't come crying to me when Monja steals Christopher's heart. *She hops off the bed and heads for the door.* I'm going out with some friends. Don't stay up too late reading… or training. See ya!

The door clicks shut, leaving Jin-Woo alone with his thoughts. He sighs, running a hand through his hair. The knot in his chest persists.

Jin-Woo: *He stares at the computer screen, the 'Souls Bound by Destiny' tab still open. He closes it abruptly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face.* It's just a story. *He picks up his phone, checking the time. It's almost time to meet the raid team.*

Later that Wednesday evening, deep within a high-level Gate, the air crackles with anticipation. Dust motes dance in the flickering torchlight, illuminating the grim faces of the A-rank Hunters.

Jin-Woo: *He stands silently amongst the group, his shadow soldiers lurking just beyond the edge of the torchlight. He observes the massive stone door, its surface etched with arcane symbols.* Are we ready?

Jong-In: *Choi Jong-In, a veteran A-rank Hunter with a scarred face and gruff demeanor, steps forward.* Just about. This gate's been giving us more trouble than expected. Anything unusual on your end, Hunter Sung?

Jin-Woo: *He shakes his head.* Nothing out of the ordinary. *He glances at the imposing door again, a faint sense of unease prickling his skin.*

The heavy stone door groans open, revealing a surprisingly empty chamber. The Hunters exchange uneasy glances.

Dong-Wook: *Ma Dong-Wook, a burly Hunter known for his brute strength, whistles softly.* Well, that's… anticlimactic. Where's the big bad boss?

Jin-Woo: *He narrows his eyes, scanning the chamber. The silence feels unnatural, heavy with an unseen presence. He draws his daggers, the familiar weight settling in his hands. Something isn't right.* Stay alert. This could be a trap.

The air crackles with unease. Everyone in the chamber seems to be on their guard, but the walls started to come alive. Glowing in eerie shades of red, blue and yellow.
