Stalkerizing

4

Playing an underpowered class was a common frustration among players. And yet, Killer had taken the matter quite seriously—so much so that for a moment, Sa-yoon wondered if he had some kind of inside connection with the developers.

“There’s no way.”

Maybe spending time with a weirdo like this was making his own thoughts go off track. But come to think of it, what was it like to play a broken, overpowered class?

“Fuck…”

He’d never played one before, so how was he supposed to know what kind of treatment they got?

[Whisper] killer12345: Saying you want an overpowered class is too vague. I don’t really get it. Can you be more specific?

Sa-yoon snapped back to his senses when the other guy actually took his nonsense seriously.

What was he even doing, making requests to some lunatic like he was talking to a magic wish-granting tree? He’d be better off using this time to send in another ticket to customer support.

The weight of reality came crashing down on him.

[Whisper] Chasa: Becoming a must-have class for dungeon parties.

That was it. The reason he answered so half-heartedly, just saying whatever came to mind.

As a warlock, he was so used to being rejected from parties that he’d stopped expecting anything else.

With all the free time he had from being constantly jobless in-game, he’d messed around with his character customization and posted some screenshots, which had somehow led to him picking up this stalker.

Damn. If only he hadn’t picked an underpowered class in the first place, none of this would’ve happened.

Because he would’ve been too busy running dungeons to deal with this shit! He was the one who had rolled this damn snowball down the hill.

[Whisper] killer12345: And? If a class gets accepted into parties easily, does that count as a buff?

[Whisper] Chasa: Yeah.

His replies were getting lazier by the second.

“Honestly, even having this conversation is ridiculous…”

[Whisper] Chasa: Anyway, I’m not sharing anything else until warlocks get buffed.

[Whisper] killer12345: Got it!

Despite Killer’s cheerful response, Sa-yoon felt indifferent. What could a single player possibly do? At most, they could spam support tickets demanding a warlock buff.

Honestly, if this guy had enough dedication to spam 100 comments on his posts every day, he might as well send in 100 support tickets daily. That way, maybe the developers would actually consider it.

[Whisper] killer12345: I’ll do my best.

That was the last message Killer sent before logging off, vanishing completely.

No guestbook spam, no comment floods.

One day, two days, three days passed.

At first, he stayed on edge, expecting the stalker to pop up again and wreak havoc. But as time went on, his nerves settled.

At last, he was free.

Sure, every now and then, a tiny sliver of unease crept in—What if warlocks really do get buffed one day, and that guy comes back?—but the thought always faded quickly.

Sa-yoon convinced himself he had gotten rid of the stalker for good.

Six months passed without incident.

[Lepus] What’s up with the ranking page bug?

The top-ranked players on the first page disappeared.
Check your rankings, everyone.
This game is fucked.

[Lepus] Did you guys see the ranking page?

#26 TurnOnYourMic (▲12)

I was ranked #38 before the update.
I did literally nothing, and suddenly I jumped up 12 places?
This has to be a bug or something weird is going on.
Some of the top-ranking players are just gone.
They said they were doing maintenance—what the hell did they mess with?
They’re not gonna roll back the server, are they?;;

Wait, same?? My rank went up too.
Not everyone got removed, don’t overreact.
Yo, where the hell did Purple and Killer go?

L ????

L Purple-chan…?

L I checked my friend list, and Purple is actually gone. T_T

L If both #1 and #2 vanished, it’s probably a bug.

Nah, I checked other servers, and nothing seems off. Looks like it’s just our server.

L I  figured it out. Only players from the Sashin Guild disappeared.

L What would get an entire guild banned at once?

L Exploiting?

L Exploiting.

L Match-fixing exploits. Yeah, other servers had incidents like this before.

What if they just transferred servers?

L No way a top-ranking player would server transfer. That’s like walking down the street in Korea and getting shot.

L Wait, is server transfer bad? My friend was telling me to move over to their server.

L If you’re a newbie like L, it doesn’t matter.

L Server transfers mess with the in-game economy, so they limit how much gear, gold, and rare items you can take with you.

Everything else is gone. And all their accumulated records have been reset.

L Conclusion: Server transfer for high-rankers = massive loss.

L Ah, I see! Thanks for the explanation!

L No way they actually abandoned all their contribution points.

L What kind of lunatic would just throw away war contributions? LMAO.

L If you could buy war contributions with money, I would’ve done it already

L That’s literally what exploiting is.

[Lepus] Tracked down Purple’s new nickname.

Looks like Purple ditched their old nickname when they transferred.
Are they actually starting fresh on a new server?
Or did they just straight-up delete their character?

Yo.

Buying nickname.

Buying nickname.

Server transfer confirmed.

This post is getting insane views.

Holy shit, they abandoned 2 million war contribution points just to transfer servers????

Even if they deleted their character, that’s still a massive loss.

What the hell happened to Sashin Guild?

Would you rather take a million won (approx. $750) and transfer with only 400,000 contribution points, or just stay?

L Losing 1.6 million contribution points… Just thinking about it makes me want to cry.

L Are you F-tier or something?

L Why the fuck are you bringing up FT here, dumbass?

L You’d probably need to spend over a thousand bucks to farm 2 million contribution points.

L Even if you sold your character, you’d still make hundreds. LMAO.

L Of course, 22222.

L Completely unbalanced.

Why did Sashin leave? Is our server dying?
Honestly, at this point, it seems more likely that there was some massive in-guild drama and they disbanded.
Anyone still left in Sashin? Snowman<<<

L They probably just haven’t finished liquidating their assets before leaving.

L No way, we need Snowman to stay. T_T

L Who even is Snowman? Never heard of them. STFU.

L “Never heard of them” my ass. If Snowman leaves, our shop’s weekly quests are fucked.

L So what does Snowman do exactly?

L Gatherer, you idiot.

L The market’s Cataloa supply is vanishing in real time.

If you search for Sashin now, nothing shows up. Did they disband the guild too?

L Holy shit, they actually did.

***

[Lepus] Killer definitely transferred servers.

(Attached: Killer Lv.1.jpg)

If you check the search results, Killer now shows up as Level 1 on Lepus Server.
They probably changed their name, pre-registered it, and then transferred over.

Perma-banned?

No perma-ban notice.
Holy shit, did they actually transfer servers????
Of all the high-rankers who could transfer, of course, it had to be our resident lunatic.
Looks like Killer wasn’t the only one. No sign of Vow, Electric, or Heart either.

L These guys are seriously insane. LMAO.

Yup, confirmed. They definitely transferred.
What the fuck is going on?
If this is real, they’re absolute clowns. No debate.
Maybe they just wanted to start fresh after achieving everything.

L If it were me, I’d sell my character and use that money to start over.

Which poor server just got a mass migration from Sashin?
They probably all took placeholder names—none of them show up in search.

[Lepus] Guys, today is April 1st.

The whole “Vow transferred servers” thing?
April Fool’s joke.
It’s all fake.

Yeah, sure.
Bro, it’s August 21st. Do you not even know the date?
L This dude doesn’t get sarcasm.
Who the hell’s gonna call the shots in siege battles now?

***

[Lepus] Good riddance to Heart, Electric, and Killer—those three psychos.

Don’t come back. ^^

Had fun for two years. Now, let’s never see each other again.
I can literally hear our battleground win rate going up.
So we can finally queue for PvP in peace? Is this real?

L “Peace” in battlegrounds? LMAO.

L Clearly, you’ve never fought against them.

Big thumbs-up for this beautiful farewell.

[Cygnus] Why the hell is the war contribution ranking so messed up???

I just dropped over 20 ranks out of nowhere.
What the fuck?

The high-rankers who transferred servers pushed you down. ㅇㅇ

L Who the hell transfers to this backwater server?

***

[Cygnus] What do you guys think the next mythic dungeon will be in the summer update?

Serious question.

Hope it’s Sisyphus.

L You tryna roll boulders all day?

Trojan Horse.
We got Dionysus last time, so isn’t it about time for Hades?
My guess? Athena Battleground Ver. 2.
