Chapter 267: Chapter 264
"You drank a single sip last time and got drunk, and you're still asking to drink?" Mina shouted, both amused and exasperated.
She remembered how Annie had confidently claimed that she could handle her alcohol, and couldn't help but feel like giving the fox girl a light knock on the head to check if she had a "bun" growing in there—didn't she have any self-awareness?
"I... I didn't know that!" Annie blushed slightly, turning her head away awkwardly, her fox tail flicking restlessly.
"And what do you think?"
Mina leaned in closer to Annie, her lips curling into a smile, mimicking the tone of the fox-eared girl as she said, "I'm really good at drinking. I used to drink a lot before, and everyone used to praise me for how much I could drink."
"Shut... shut up. You mutant cat girl!" Annie yelled in frustration, and with a red face, she lunged at Mina like a cat trying to catch something.
"Hey, hey! I'm just telling the truth!" Mina skillfully dodged the fox girl's claws that were aimed in her direction, running around the dining table.
"You're lying!" Annie pouted, turning to look at Freya with pleading eyes. "Freya, tell them, wasn't I good at drinking before?"
"Uh..." Under the gaze of everyone, Freya awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth, casting a strange glance at Annie before silently lowering her head.
"What... what does that mean?" Annie froze for a moment, her brown eyes blinking. Did they really think she needed to be coddled like a child?
Lucas rested his chin on one hand, clearly enjoying the scene. Today, he was trying out some wine to make a preliminary evaluation for future sales.
Annie grinned, her eyes narrowing as she raised both hands, elbows bent, fingers trembling as she put on a fierce expression. In a low voice, she growled, "Freya, speak! What's going on? What have you and that wicked woman been hiding from me?"
Cough, cough, cough…
Freya's face flushed with a faint red hue, instinctively taking a step back. Her voice grew flustered as she explained, "Your Highness, it's... it's what Miss Bella requested."
"Tell me!" Annie took another step closer, feeling like she had been played.
"Uh..." Freya turned her head, scratching her cheek nervously. She spoke in a quiet, hesitant tone, "Your Highness, the wine you've been drinking... it was diluted with water. Probably... it should be..."
"How much?" Annie's brown eyes narrowed to a slit.
"It was... diluted by ninety percent..." Freya's voice grew quieter with every word.
"..." Annie stood frozen, like she had been shocked by lightning, staring blankly at the wolf-eared girl. She suspected that her fox ears had accumulated too much wax and she hadn't heard properly.
"Say that again? How much water did you dilute it with?" Annie snapped, her hair standing on end.
"It's... it's... it was diluted..." Freya took another step back, her ember eyes not daring to look at the fox-eared girl.
"Shut up..." Annie's cheeks flushed red as she lunged toward Freya, wrapping her legs around the wolf-eared girl's slender waist and covering her mouth with both hands.
"Hahahaha..." Mina laughed so hard her stomach ached. Ninety percent water? Was that even alcohol? It was practically water!
"Well, Mina can't drink either." Lucas tilted his head with a grin, his lips curling upward. "And that, everyone, is why these two shouldn't drink."
"Huh?" Mina's laughter stopped abruptly as she stared at Lucas in confusion. Why couldn't she drink?
"Hahahaha..."
Now it was Annie's turn to laugh, hanging from Freya and turning to gloat. "Mina, you can't drink either!"
"Young master?" Mina blinked her eyes and softly called out. "I'll just have a little bit!"
"No!" Lucas shook his head. He didn't want a cat-eared girl hanging on him all day.
"Alright, Mina!" Nicole spoke gently. "Young master is just looking out for you. If you get drunk, then..."
As Nicole whispered into Mina's ear, the cat-eared girl's face grew increasingly redder. When she heard about hanging on Lucas for the entire day, she nearly wished for a hole to crawl into.
"That's not fair! I want to listen too!" Annie saw Mina's reaction and immediately jumped off Freya, running over to join the fun.

The door to the dining hall swung open, and Ayesha, swaying her hips with a curious look on her face, entered, dragging a confused-looking Elisa behind her.
"Huh? Elisa?" Lucas exclaimed in surprise.
"Is something wrong at the pizza shop, Elisa?" Nicole stepped forward, taking Elisa's hand with concern. "Did someone cause trouble?"
"No, no..." Elisa lowered her head, feeling awkward. What was she supposed to say? That she was dragged here to taste the castle's food? That would be too embarrassing.
"It was me who dragged Elisa here. I brought her to have lunch," Ayesha stretched lazily, her purple eyes glancing over the several ceramic jars on the table.
"..." Everyone immediately understood. They all knew Ayesha's personality well.
For example, Annie was a prime example. One day, Ayesha picked some green chilies from the greenhouse out of curiosity, took a bite, and immediately started sticking her tongue out, clearly feeling the intense heat. Laughing, she forcefully gave Annie one, saying, "Here, this is delicious, try it!" Annie refused, but Ayesha insisted, pushing the chili into her mouth.
That night, Annie, along with Freya, ambushed Ayesha and did some rather mischievous things, causing a lot of chaos until the night finally calmed down.
"You're just in time, sit down, and try some of these wines," Lucas gestured to the four ceramic jars in front of him.
"Great!" Ayesha eagerly agreed. She always approached new food with 100% enthusiasm.
Elisa also sat down, her emerald-green eyes darting quickly towards Lucas before immediately looking away again.
Annie and Mina, one pouting and the other sulking, sat to the side, which made Nicole want to laugh.
Lucas didn't pay attention to the two teasing beast-ear girls. He uncorked the bottles and poured the wine, the rich aroma wafting through the air, making everyone in the room swallow reflexively.
"This is twenty-proof white liquor, please enjoy!" Lucas said lightly, referring to the same alcohol that Nicole and the others had gotten drunk on earlier.
"Hiss…"
Elisa took a small sip, her emerald-green eyes lighting up. She immediately downed the rest of the drink in one go, letting out a long sigh. "Delicious!"
"Ugh, so bad!" Ayesha's voice rang out at the same time.
"Uh…"
The two of them stared at each other in surprise, then spoke simultaneously.
"It's quite good!" Elisa raised an eyebrow. "It's fragrant, with a hint of malt."
"It's really bad," Ayesha frowned. "It's bitter, and it feels uncomfortable in my throat."
