Strange use of Magic (Black Clover AU)

[Third Person's PoV]

"Hey gramps, we don't have time to Dink around with you" Magna said with an annoyed expression, "And how do you know about the magic stone anyways?" 

The old man just popped out his eyes in an exaggerated manner as he said, "Haw, haw, I've got myself some pretty good eyes." The old man then gained a smirk, "What'll you do? You want that stone, don't you?"

Everyone just huddled together and began to whisper and discuss between themselves. 

"What do we do? Send him flying and steal it?" Magna asked, looking between the black bulls. 

"Sounds fast, I like it. Let's kill him" Gauch agreed. 

"Great, that old guy looks like he has tons of magic. I'll bet he'll be fun to fight," Luck added. 

"I know a sleeping spell that would get everyone to sleep. We can just take it and leave the city without us being stopped or questioned" Stephen shared with a hand by his chin. 

"I'm sure I'll be able to control his mind to just let us take it, he himself would just be handing it to us" Wanda suggested with a faint smile. 

The High Priest began to sweat hearing at how they were all just planning his demise. They even had the gull to talk about it in the open where they could be heard, which showed just how confident they were in their ideas. 

"Ah guys!? Excuse me but I'm hearing a lot of dangerous discussions, aren't we magic knights?! We don't do that kind of stuff" Asta warily exclaimed. 

Meanwhile the others were a bit more towards declining the old man's offer, Vanessa let out a yawn, "Ahhh, I'm getting a but sleepy actually~" 

"Stephen take out the squid, I'm going to cock it!" Said Charmy with a hungry look, drool coming out of the corner of her mouth. 

"You know what?" Said Finral, "I think I heard some of the pretty city girls calling my name, I wonder what they need. I better tend to them." 

"Hmm, it seems you all haven't made up your minds" Said the Priest, "If you win the game in addition to the Magic stone, I thought to gather the temples MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, and hold a stylish BANQUET with the very best FOOD and DRINKS" 

"ALRIGHT WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR!! LET'S PLAY THIS GAME AND WIN!" Charmy, Vanessa, and Finral all shouted. 

Meanwhile Yami held out his cigarette from his mouth and puffed out smoke, "Guess that means we have to. All right gramps, I'm a gaming expert. I'll take you on"

"If I strictly remember, and let me remind you I have a very good memory, didn't I go on my first mission because you failed to win a game" Stephen said, giving Yami a side eye.

"Unimportant" Yami said not even looking at Stephen, "So what are we playing at? Cards? Dice?"

The old man simply let out a mischievous chuckle as he loudly announced, "A WHITE HOT TEMPLE BATTLE ROYAL WOOOHOOOO!!" 

The Priest reached into his long sleeve and pulled out his grimoire, "Temple Mages, Come on out!" 

[Game Magic: Temple Shuffle] 

Glowing doorways appeared all around them in the skies, and from those doorways mages shot forth and lined up in a single file line. They were all wearing white robes with masks all made to look like different sea creatures. 

"You called High Priest?!" One of them asked 

"Wooooah, Mages from the surfaces, how exciting~" 

"It's been a while since we've met any mages from the surface world" 

"They don't look that strong, I thought they would be more impressive" One of them scoffed. 

"What was that punk?!" Magna exclaimed, sticking his neck out. 

Stephen meanwhile raised an eyebrow and looked towards the Temple mage wearing a dolphin mask and tilted his head in confusion. 

"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!" The Priest shouted as a glowing flash of light appeared beneath. 

"ALREADY?!" 

"WE WEREN'T READY!!" 

Everyone was taken away by a wave of water as they thrown and moved all around. They all landed in various parts of the large temple all which appeared different from one another, all wet and disoriented. 

"THE RULES ARE SIMPLE!" They all heard the old man's voice as if he was speaking through a speaker. 

"YOU'VE BEEN SCATTERED TO DIFFERENT AREAS INSIDE THE TEMPLE. STARTING NOW, YOU'LL FACE OFF AGAINST THE TEMPLE MAGES, TEN-ON-TEN!

IF YOU KNOCK THEM OUT, YOU WIN! IF YOU MAKE THEM SURRENDER, YOU WIN!

VICTORY GOES TO THE FIRST TEAM TO WIPE THE OTHER TEAM OUT, OR TO THE TEAM THAT HAS THE MOST MEMBERS LEFT THE END OF THE ONE-HOUR TIME LIMIT!!" 

The Old man then continued, "FIGHT ANY WAY YOU WANT! FIGHT ONE-ON-ONE! RUN AROUND TRYING TO ESCAPE! FIND YOUR FRIENDS, BAND TOGETHER AND FIGHT! THAT SAID, MY NUISANCE SPELLS ARE OUT THERE TOO. BE CAREFUL. HAHAHAHAHA" 

In front of the old man were broadcasts of all of the Black Bulls, the old man was sitting down on a seat with food and drinks on a table in front of him as well. 

"Hey geezer" Yami said looking irritated, "Don't you shout me out of the game, you're making me sad over here" 

Yami wasn't alone, Stephen was standing next to Yami with a sadden look, "Come on old man, don't leave me out as well… A Battle Royal sounds really fun, I could have tried out one of the spells I've learnt and been practicing" 

"Bwahahaha, I can't do that" The old man laughed, "This is supposed to be a game, it's supposed to be fun. You two are too strong and would take away from the fun!" 

Before Stephen even blinked, Yami was already sitting with the old man sharing a drink with him, "Hehehe, So you knew, huh? You must have a pretty good set of eyes my friend" 

The old man chuckled clinking glass together with Yami, "Yes I do, heheh" 

Stephen let out a depressed sigh, his cloak flew off of his shoulders and patted Stephen on the shoulder in a comforting manner. 

Stephen shook his head and decided that if he wasn't going to join, he might as well enjoy the show, so he sat down and joined Yami and the Old man. 

He didn't hesitate to dig into the food in front of him, right after making sure it wasn't made with alcohol of course. 

"Ohoho! It appears some of them are already going to clash straight away~" The Old man said joyfully. 

"Great," Yami said before giving them a silent warning, "If they lose, I'll kill them all"
