Ripple Slash (Epic)

A powerful sword technique that channels energy through each slash, releasing waves of force that radiate from the blade.

Each swing of the sword generates waves of energy, dealing 100% damage in a 10-meter area around the user.

When focused on a single target, the waves concentrate, amplifying the power to cause 1000% damage to the target.

The energy waves have a rippling effect, spreading out from the blade, making it difficult for enemies to avoid the full impact when within range.

Mana Cost: 1200 Mana per slash

Cooldown: 150 seconds

The technique requires a significant amount of mana, making it a powerful but limited resource during prolonged combat. The cooldown ensures that the move cannot be spammed, requiring strategic timing for maximum effectiveness. ]

"Hm, a good one," Dave thought as he reached the open ground with the Red Knight Pablo. From the name above his head, he was a Common NPC. NPCs are divided into categories, from simple NPCs, Named NPCs, to Super Named NPCs. It's similar to how ranks differ in classes, such as Epic, Unique, and Legendary.

Now that Pablo is a Common NPC and is at level 133, he is probably a recruit Red Knight who was admitted due to his good potential or skills. Normally, every Red Knight is at least level 200 and above.

Reaching the open ground, they stood some distance from each other. "Take out your weapon," Pablo said as he drew his dual swords. In response, Dave also took out and equipped a Unique-rank sword he had borrowed from Boa.

"Ready?" Pablo asked. Dave nodded, "Begin," he said, as Pablo rushed toward him. As Pablo slashed at him, Dave moved as if time slowed down. Dave drew his blade and activated the skill Ripple Slash. Pablo's eyes widened as his proud Splitter sword missed Dave's neck while Dave's sword slashed at his own neck. In Dave eyes who has reached the level of Sword Saint in real life, this move was weak as a kid holding a sword against an adult.

The notification rang out as Pablo just sat there, staring at the wound on his neck, which began to heal.

"I will help," Diana said as she used Saintess Touch, bathing Pablo in white divine light that began to heal him.

"How?" he questioned, sighing absentmindedly.

His memory flashed back to the hard training he had endured as a child, from blistered hands to aching muscles. Yet, he had lost so easily?

At this moment, his instructor's voice rang in his head. It was the time when he had been slacking off. "Why aren't you training?" the instructor had asked, and Pablo tilted his head to look at him.

"I'm done," he replied.

"Did you do the 10,000 slashes already?" the instructor asked, giving him a disapproving look. Pablo shook his head.

"No, I mean, I've defeated everyone here," he said, pointing to the other recruits like him. "I'm stronger than others. I don't need to do it anymore," he added smugly, but the instructor raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

"So, you're saying you're stronger than me?" the instructor asked. Pablo shook his head.

"No, I'm saying I'll soon reach your level. I'm that talented," he said arrogantly. The instructor burst into laughter.

"Hahahahahaha!" The instructor laughed, and Pablo frowned. "Why are you laughing?" he asked.

"Kid, you're not talented just because you learned the skills I taught you and defeated everyone here. It doesn't mean you're talented," the instructor said, wiping tears from his eyes.

"I am! I've defeated everyone here with half the effort they put in!" Pablo shouted back. The instructor chuckled, rubbing his head.

"One day, you'll meet a real talent. And when you do, don't break that day. Make him your goal," the instructor said, smiling as he kicked Pablo in the backside. "Now get back to training!"

Pablo looked at Dave, who was examining his sword. "From his stance, he's familiar with the sword, but he's weak too," Pablo mumbled, sensing Dave's level.

"But he defeated me. It means he's the real talent," Pablo thought, his respect growing.

He recalled his instructor's words: "Make him your target, huh," he murmured to himself, clenching his fists. "I'm the best, old man," he whispered under his breath as he stood up.

"You won," he said, and Dave nodded.

"Thank you for sparring with me," Dave replied.

Pablo shook his head. "No, thank you," he said, turning to leave. Under his breath, he mumbled, "For enlightening me," before continuing on his way.
