Chapter 7: chapter 7

Next morning I took earliest train back to City and packed my things, i have book online ticket for Y country last night and have flight by night today.

I took my phone from my pocket and make a call to yona, after some rings she took the call.

"Hi, Evie how are you?" Her cheerful voice came from other side. "I am fine, are you alright?" I asked

"Yeah, i am good. " She replied and then i asked with some hesitation. "Did you talked with Emily?"

She became silent for a moment then spoke, " yeah I did. And she is with us." Yona's words make me easy at my heart. " I also talked with Jason about your words." She suddenly added. Jason her brother, he is few years older then us, and I have always kept my distance from him.

"How did he react at this?" I asked little nervous, i don't want anyone to lable me as madam women, but I trust yona's judgement, she wouldn't do anything to harm me. " Well surprisingly he did believe in me. He also revealed some insider has also told him about meteoroid comming towards the NASA's satellite. But according to the informatioNASA has prepared some heavy missiles to destroy it before it reaches the satellite. Now that I told him what you said, he believes in your theory even more."

Hearing this gave me more confidence. With Jason believing my words, half of my tension was gone. Unlike me, Yona came from a powerful background. Her father had risen from being a community official to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Jason had taken a different path, joining the military to serve the country. In my previous life, they had been on a family vacation when the satellite crashed.

"That's good to hear," I replied.

"Yeah. I actually thought about this situation for a long time, and the only person who came to mind was my big brother. He will surely help us through this. Also, I gave him your number—he might call you in a while," Yona informed me.

I told her where I was going and that I would be there for a few days. In the meantime, she would take care of listing everything we would need after the crash.

Walking out of the airport, the cold wind hit my face. I took a deep breath and pulled out my phone to inform my parents about my arrival. As I unlocked it, I saw a missed call notification from an unknown number.

Deciding to call back, I hit the green icon.

The ring went on for a while until, suddenly, I heard a deep, unfamiliar voice.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Evelyn Summers. It's me, Jason Willson," the person replied.

"Hello, Mr. Willson," I greeted him politely.

"Ms. Summer, Yona told me about the situation. Since you have knowledge of the future, I would like to ask you a few things, you know, to make sure if what you are saying aligns with the conditions," he asked in a serious tone, as expected of a military person. I thought he would have believed me, but no, he still has doubts.

"Alright, Mr. Wilson, please ask."

"Ms. Summer, when would the meteorite clash with the satellite? And by any chance, do you have information on what Governmet had tried to do to stop it before it led to disaster?" His words were logical and had deep meaning. If I am really a person who lived ahead five years, I would be able to predict it. That's what is in his mind, with all the things Governmet had tried to do before but failed to rescue the world. And once this disaster struck, we all got the information that Governmet was trying to hide from us, like the nuclear exploits to destroy it when it tried to come into Earth's orbit. It was originally from a meteorite surrounding Mars, which unexpectedly changed its direction towards Earth. Also, NASA's third and biggest satellite collided with it, and that is why it had such a huge impact.

I told him everything in detail and waited for his response.

"Looks like there is no more denying your words. According to the information I have gathered, your future story seems to go in the same direction where you all were..."

"We can discuss the escape plan, and if possible, make a government aware to save people—"

I stopped him in the middle of the sentence.

"Mr. Wilson, I know you want to save all the people around you. As a soldier, you might believe in saving everybody alongside. But trust me when I say this—if you are going to save everyone, not everyone will be able to survive. So it's better to let nature take its course."

He went silent at my words.

"Once the disaster struck, there would be chaos all over the world. Those who survived the disaster would die from hunger and diseases. It's best to make yourself safe first before helping others. Those five years have taught me many things, and putting yourself first is one of them," I spoke.

I knew he had the mentality of a normal human being and wanted to help others, but the situation we were going to face was not normal at all.

"Alright, Ms. Summer, I got your point. So what is your safe plan?" he asked.

"Well, I want to move to Y country alongside others. It was the least affected area by the disaster, and living here, to begin with, is already a challenge. So there is very little to no population, giving more chances of surviving compared to the rest of the world," I replied honestly.

If we were going to cooperate together, then we needed to be on honest terms.

"Okay, I got it. I would go to Y country."

"No, Mr. Wilson, you don't need to come here. I'm already here. We don't have too much time to begin with, so you should go do other things," I cut him off.

"Oh, since you are already there, then it's a relief. What other things do you want me to do? I will try to help as much as possible," he replied.

I took a trip and started speaking.

"You are in the armed forces, right?"

"Yes, I am."

"Then can you arrange weapons for our base?"

He got silent. I didn't mind his lack of response and continued speaking.

"Due to the nuclear reaction, many animals and some humans will evolve, and fighting them with bare hands is inviting death. Getting our hands on good weapons while they are still available is best for us. I was thinking about going to X country to purchase these, where getting arms is legal, but if you could handle this, it would be a great help and take one thing off my list," I completed my words and let him think about it.

"I got your point, and don't worry about this. I will handle it myself. I will get as many weapons as possible," he said.

His words took a great worry off my heart.

"Mr. Wilson," I suddenly called him.

"Yes? Is there anything else for me?"

I hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"Well, you should start liquefying your money and other assets and make the best use of them while it is still possible," I said.

He suddenly laughed at my words before speaking.

"I know, Ms. Summers. And if you need anything, ask me. We are a team now," he said, making me feel warm inside my heart.

"I will try to sell all assets under my name. You don't need to worry about that. It is quite a huge amount of money, and since you are going to look for the base for us, you better try to find the best material possible I will transfer the money to you to help you out. y country has very extreme weather conditions, so taking all your money might not be enough to make a good base for many people. And one more thing I want to ask you," he said.

I asked with curiosity, "What is it?"

"There are some fellow brothers of mine whom I want to take alongside. We have been through a lot together. It's not too many, just three other commanders of mine. Would you mind me taking them with us?"

I became silent for a moment. It was getting too much. But everybody has their loved ones. If I wanted to save mine, he had the right to save his too. I took a deep breath and said, "Alright, you can include them in our group. I will try to purchase as much land as possible and create a big enough base to accommodate us all and leave room for some unexpected conditions."

"Alright, that is a relief. Please do call me whenever you need anything."

"Alright, I will call you if I get short of money here, as I will purchase the land and start construction of the base," I replied.

Well, I wouldn't shy away from asking anything. I was building the base for all of us, and everyone would contribute towards it. And what would he do if he couldn't use the money at this moment?
