The Backbender (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Kanuk came out of the spirit world, a smile plastered onto his face as bamboo trees grew from behind him. From those bamboos, the kidnapped humans walked out with confused faces.

"huh? I am outside!"

"I am saved!"

The villagers had joy on their faces as they looked around. They soon noticed Kanuk standing next to Katara and Fei. Who was still in the spirit realm?

They walked towards the group and bowed as they looked at Kanuk. They knew that he was the one who freed them from the spirit who kidnapped them.

"Sir. Thank you for saving us!" The villagers said at the same time. Their voices were full of appreciation. Kanuk smiled as he nodded his head. He actually saved people.

Katara smiled as she looked up, noticing that Kanukw was smiling. Just then, coughing caught Katara's and Kanuk's attention as Fei woke up.

"Kanuk, Katara! I talked with the previous Avatar!" The villagers looked at Fei in shock. The previous Avatar? Then does that mean that girl is the Avatar?

"Oh? And what did she say?" Kanuk asked with a smile as he bent down. Fei smiled as she was picked up in a princess carry. Kanuk turned and took Katara by the waist.

"She talked about what it means to be the Avatar. I am the bridge between the spirit world and the physical world. Apparently." Fei said as she looked at the villagers in confusion. Why are villagers here?

"Don't worry about them. I rescued them from the spirit that I fought. Apparently, the forest was burned down, and the spirit became angry. Started kidnapping the villagers." Fei nodded her head as they started flying.

The three made their way to Appa, who was resting himself with a smile. They got on his back, and Appa opened his eyes with a moo. The team flies over the village, making their way onwards.

[Later...]

Like in the original, the team comes across Jet, who tries to flood the town where the Fire Nations soldiers reside. Kanuk stops him and beats him up for trying to flirt with Katara.

They arrive at the Great Divide, where they help the two Earth Kingdom clans cross the river while also making up a fake story about their ancestors to stop the feud between the clans.

Kanuk had massive amounts of money, so they did not stop at the fisherman's village for a job. They just flew over it and continued their journey towards their next destination.

Along the journey, Kanuk, Fei and Katara did not stop their training for a second. They worked harder than ever before. Especially Katara and Fei due to the fight between Kanuk and Hei Bai.

Katara, with the ring, learned fast, mastering techniques in days. She has mastered the method of extracting water from the atmosphere, and not only that.

She has mastered the ability to use Ice. Kanuk had taught her how to turn water into Ice. She has become much more powerful than when she was in the tribe.

Fei was not behind Katara. She had mastered Ice and water bending due to her increased affinities with the elements. She also started on Fire bending, with Kanuk teaching her the basics.

Fei was much stronger than she was in the original. She can use 3 of the 4 elements, and she is a grandmaster in Air and master in Water Bending. She can use fire as well.

Now let's get to Kanuk.

Using the time, Kanuk mainly used his martial arts skills to upgrade it to level 10. In two days, he did it, and once he did it, he gave it the ability to work with water bending.

[Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist or Stream Fist for short.]

This skill allowed Kanuk to redirect the force of opponents' attacks and use water in his strikes, making his attacks more powerful. But this was not all.

He also merged it with Air Bending.

This style is more in Kanuk's style. It allows him to use strong and deadly strikes that cut his opponents into pieces. It is really powerful with every move that Kanuk makes.

Kanuk managed to raise his water bending to level 15. Air bending to level 15 and fire bending to level 7. His flames reached a temperature of 2,300 Celcius.

[Currently.]

Appa flies down from the sky, and the team jumps off from his back as they walk towards an earth village in the distance. Kanuk senses the tremors in the ground as he walks.

"That volcano... It's perfect!" Kanuk smirked as he realised this place was perfect for training his earth bending. Katara and Fei looked at the volcano in confusion.

"The volcano looks normal to me," Ktara said with raised eyebrows. Kanuk shakes his head as they continue walking into the village.

"No. That volcano is about to erupt. I can use it for my training." Kanuk says as the team enters the village. They rent a place to sleep, and then they explore the town.

They soon stumbled upon a fortune teller called Aunt Wu. Katara was curious about it, so she had her tell a fortune for her.

"Hmmm... You will marry a powerful bender in the future!" Katara looked at Wu in surprise, her eyes looking at Kanuk as he smirked. Fei was excited as she went up next.

"Me next!" Fei put her hand out, and Aunt Wu closed her eyes as she started reading her hands. A few seconds passed before Aunt Wu spoke.

"A great destiny awaits you, one you cannot escape." Fei rubbed her head as she looked at her hand. She shrugs her shoulder as she turns away.

Cough*

Aunt Wu puts her hand out, and Kanuk smiles as he throws a coin into her hand. 

"Hmm, I should help them since it's about to explode." Kanuk looks at the mountain in the distance. His earth bending is still only level 1, but it will change.

"You two can have fun. I am going to the mountain." Kanuk said as he handed 5 gold coins in Katara's hand. The two nodded as they watched Kanuk fly towards the mountain.

Boom!

Surpassing the speed of sound multiple times, Kanuk arrived at the mountain in a few seconds. Kanuk stepped down to the base of the hill. The ground felt warm to the touch.

"Alright! Let's begin." Kanuk smirked as he closed his eyes. The trembling ground under him helped him feel the earth better. He slowly started stomping them on the ground.

Boom!

The ground trembled as Kanuk stomped down. It's not from strength but because he was trying to move the earth. A few minutes go by, and Kanuk finally does it.

Boom!

A fist the size of a head floats up from the ground before it becomes unstable and falls down. Kanuk smirks as he sees his exp increase for earth bending.

By the way, I skipped some boring stuff, like the Great Divide and Jet and the Storm episode. I did not see the point of doing them, so I skipped straight to the fortune-teller episode.
