Chapter 1: Where the hell...

'So is this it?... The Darkness that surrounds me,' Sam thinks in an unknown place 'Well, I never really expected much in the end, after all it was such a dumb way I died.'

Sam had been a loner, sort of a hikikomori, who used to be immersed in his PC and the internet all the time. Before dying, he accidentally dumped a whole bottle of soda on his computer circuits—and somehow got fried along with it.

'Ahh... I shouldn't have been awake for so long on that game, I guess 2 days was my limit...' Sam tries to remember moments before his own death. 'Wait... How am I thinking? Is this not the nothing that comes after the end?!'

But suddenly he felt a lot of pushes and nudges from everywhere at once. After a few more movements, he somehow 'Popped' out of somewhere and felt so convoluted and slimy at once.

After some more movements unknown to him, he managed to open his eyes. What he could see after it, was what he could only think about as he tried to make sense of his situation and surroundings.

Placed on an old crib with railings. His gaze first fell upon the stony ceiling. He managed to peek through the bars of the crib to see more cribs like his and other people. 'What!... Have I been Born Again? Perhaps Reincarnated! But why does everything looks so old and rusty.'

His senses were a bit dull. But he could faintly hear a few moans and screams of women giving birth from a room near his crib.

'Where the hell have I been reincarnated into?!'

After a few more days of restrained and growing movements, Sam managed to get a feel of his whereabouts after his crib was placed in a much open area. 'This place is so old and crude. Well those women seem to be giving birth in that other room on one day or the other. And given how they are treating me and the other babies, I shouldn't expect to be treated kindly from anyone. It's as if they want everyone to grow and become servants... much less slaves.'

He looked around at his new surroundings as he was placed in an open area now. Old buildings and a courtyard with a bleak air, where no one's situation seems much better in this place.

'This place looks like as if it's from some medieval fantasy game... it even smells like it. I don't even know if I can even grow up properly here when I don't even have an inkling of my own mother!! I would have to escape or get out of here when I'm able to.'

In an unknown place. A Big and Looming Figure was standing outside a room. He closed the ajar door and turned around. He called out softly, "Grand Priest..."

"Here at your service, My Lord." An elder figure came out of the shadows and spoke while bowing respectfully.

"What was the premonition about the twins?"

"Yes, my lord. They both have a Great Destiny and fortuitous enough of your presence. The Young one has such a Great Harmony from Three Great Destinies. It's so remarkable that it matches your own prowess. The Elder one isn't less impressive either, as he has also got the Greatest Harmony from the Two Greatest Destinies. They will be great men in the future, for they share your Mighty and Noble Blood, My Lord. However..." the Elder Figure was now hesitant to speak more.

The Looming Figure spoke again, cold and expressionless, "Yes... The Great Healer confirmed it herself. So is that going to be a hindrance for their future?"

The Elder Figure now spoke in a very serious tone, "My Lord, Both of the twins lack the one Destiny you are the most blessed in. Their heads are split evenly from inside. Regardless, their premonition still say they will be great men. However, I don't mean to speak to harm anyone of them, but there is a way to save one Twin's deficit entirely. And with enough care and nurture while growing, he will be on the same presence as you, My Lord. Whereas the other twin... has the greatest risk—" He was about to speak but was cut off.

"No need of more explanation. Put all effort into treating the Younger one with The Three Destinies regarding it. The Elder one, well if it can survive then it's good enough." The Looming Figure spoke coldly.

"Yes, My Lord. According to the energies, if we do this treatment, it has the greatest success for the young one since the Destinies support him so much. The Elder one... Well he may survive but will be hollow from inside. However my lord, I don't want to speak out of turn, but even if you let them be like this, they will still be great men like you according to the premonition. They can still soar to your heights together—" the elder figure was about to speak more but was cut off again.

"Grand Priest, You have been by my side for so many years. I have always respected your opinions and words in my decisions." He then looked at the elder man with a stern gaze. "I know what I'm deciding for both of their future. And it's what I want as a ruler too. So many decades of battles and changes... I have always longed and looked everywhere for one with the Four Great Destinies. I'm sure if I look after the Younger twin after this myself, it will be at the same harmony level for it. Atleast Enough to ward off the other Four. Well, No need to talk about this any longer since it's been decided. What did the Great Premonition say?"

"As you say, My Lord. Yes, I already did the Great Premonition before the birth and have gotten word from the other 4 Priests too. It was the same this year, my lord, as it always has been. Maybe your younger one can match up for it in the future. However there was another Great Premonition, My Lord, which I confirmed myself with the other 4 Priests." The Elder Figure then looked at the other Man seriously again and spoke, "A Decade or so later, when the little ones also grow up for their Fate Selection. The number for youth with more than one Destinies will be Much High for the Fate Selection of that year. Higher than the number of people with more Destinies for Fate Selections we have had in the whole century! But it also entails the approaching Doom of the world whispered by many in the ancient texts. So you know already what to do regarding it, my lord. We must be open with the other Four and prepare for this Decade and that Year's Fate Selection."

The Looming Figure thought about this deeply for a moment. Then he spoke again with a cold gaze, "Hm... Well if what you say is true. I would have to speak with those Four again. I guess it will be after such a long time that we all would have gathered together. Nonetheless, I leave it in your hands, Grand Priest. After the treatment of the twins, Inform all the other officials about the matter of this New Great Premonition briefly, and start preparing for this decade. You have my approval on taking necessary actions and make sure this goes discreetly." The Looming Figure then flicked his cape and turned around to leave.

"As you say, I will make sure of all the necessary preparations and carry out all the tasks for the whole decade and for that special year. I will report shortly to you, My Lord, Xander Tarragon The Great Emperor." The Elder Figure then disappeared into the shadows once again.
