Marcus Reynolds leaned back in his leather chair, a cold smile curling on his lips. He tapped his pen against the polished surface of his mahogany desk, eyes narrowing as he reread the internal report. Julian Blackwood's growing affection for Emily Taylor was more than just a distraction it was a weakness. And Marcus had every intention of exploiting it.

For years, he had played the loyal business partner, standing at Julian's side as Blackwood Enterprises rose to the top. He picked up his phone and dialed a private number. After a moment, a voice answered. "I have something that will tear them apart," Marcus said, his voice dripping with calculated malice. "It's time to make our next move."
