Although the group didn’t have much medical knowledge, they roughly understood what Dr. Zhao was saying.
For them, removing the harpoon was simple, but stitching up a wound was far more complicated.
“The writer’s life is safe ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ for now. The only thing we need to do is get out of here as soon as possible and find a place with proper facilities to treat his wounds.”

Dr. Zhao’s words brought everyone back to reality.
If they couldn’t escape this bizarre room, they would all end up like Han Yimo sooner or later.
“But how do we leave? Is the ‘game’ over?” Lin Qin asked, covering her nose and mouth.

Qi Xia thought carefully and then shook his head.
The mask had clearly stated that the person called “Human Dog” wanted them to survive and mentioned “see you after the rain.”
Logically, after the storm of harpoons, the so-called “Human Dog” should have appeared, possibly bringing the next game.

But why hadn’t he shown up?
“Hey, conman,” Qiao Jiajin slowly walked up to Qi Xia, his expression serious. “You have a way to survive, don’t you?”
“What’s it to you?” Qi Xia replied coldly. “Whether I survive or not has nothing to do with you.”

“I’m not as smart as you, so I need to team up with someone,” Qiao Jiajin said, seemingly offering himself. “You’ve got the brains, I’ve got the strength. Let’s work together.”
Qi Xia frowned slightly at this.
“Sorry, I’m a conman. I don’t plan to trust anyone but myself.”

Before Qiao Jiajin could say more, a question came from Officer Li.
“What’s this?”
Everyone turned to look and saw Officer Li carefully examining the harpoon in his hand.

“What’s wrong?”
Dr. Zhao approached Officer Li and asked cautiously.
“There’s writing,” Officer Li said, handing the harpoon to Dr. Zhao.
Dr. Zhao took it and looked, his expression changing. On the tail of the harpoon, which was about the thickness of a finger, were tiny words:

“I am ‘Human Sheep.’ If you can see this message, it means you’ve survived.”
“But how many of you are left?”
“Is anyone injured?”

“I’m truly worried about you.”
“I can’t bear to watch you die.”
“In fifteen minutes, death will rain down again.”

“Avoid it and find a way to survive.”
Dr. Zhao gritted his teeth and then slammed the harpoon onto the ground.
“Are you messing with me?! This is never-ending!” he roared, seemingly trying to release all the pent-up emotions he had been holding back.

“Calm down!” Officer Li said sternly. “If you can’t control your emotions, how do you expect to survive?”
“Survive…? But we’re already dead!!” Dr. Zhao finally snapped. “We’re already dead, yet we’re still being tormented by the fear of death. What does the ‘host’ want?! Can’t he just kill us or let us go?!”
The group’s expressions darkened. Indeed, what was the purpose of this relentless cycle of death threats?

Was it really, as the sheep-headed man had said, to select a “god”?
Did that mean only one person would become a “god,” while the rest would be sent to hell?
“Everyone, we’ve survived two ‘games.’ Do you think it’s because we’re smart? No!” Dr. Zhao clenched his fists tightly. “We’ve just been incredibly lucky! But what about next time? Or the time after that? In this ever-changing room, how long can we possibly survive?!”

Officer Li pursed his lips, stepped forward, and grabbed Dr. Zhao by the collar. “Hey… buddy! In a life-or-death situation like this, the one thing we can’t afford to lose is morale! If you don’t want to live, go die on your own! Don’t drag everyone else down with you!”
“I…!” Dr. Zhao’s lips trembled. “But how do we get out? Do you have a way to get us out?”
Officer Li pondered for a moment, then said, “I don’t have a ‘solution.’ All I know is that we need to survive! As long as we survive, there’s hope.”

He let go of Dr. Zhao and walked over to pick up the harpoon. He examined it, then went to Han Yimo and checked the harpoon in his shoulder. Both harpoons had the same writing.
It seemed their luck had been too good.
The previous challenge had not only required them to dodge deadly attacks but also to keep at least one harpoon to learn the next clue.

“Regardless, this time we at least have a clear clue,” Officer Li said after carefully reading the words on the harpoon. “Unlike before, this time the attack will only come from above.”
He pointed to the words “death will rain down again” on the harpoon.
As soon as he finished speaking, the room began to change again.

All the holes in the walls slowly disappeared, while the countless holes in the ceiling began to shift and rearrange.
In the end, only nine remained.
Three holes in each row, making three rows in total.

“It looks like the game is getting simpler,” Officer Li said, looking up at the nine holes in the ceiling. “That’s a small mercy in this unfortunate situation.”
“But why has it changed to ‘Human Sheep’ again?” Lawyer Zhang pointed to the mutilated corpse on the ground and asked. “Didn’t we already kill ‘Human Sheep’?”
Qi Xia thought for a moment and also found it strange.

The sheep-headed man who had died earlier had indeed called himself “Human Sheep,” but his mask had said “I am Human Dog.”
First a sheep, then a dog.
Was this also a clue?

“We don’t have much time,” Officer Li said to the group. “It’s already 1:23. Soon, those nine holes in the ceiling will start shooting harpoons. Everyone, grab a tabletop and stand against the wall.”
Most of the tabletops on the ground were already shattered, but a few smaller ones were still usable.
Fortunately, the nine holes in the ceiling were all concentrated in the center, so the walls seemed safe.

The group silently picked up the broken tabletops and moved to the walls, staying as far away from the central holes as possible.
But Qi Xia didn’t move. Instead, he slowly closed his eyes.
From every angle, the third game seemed too suspicious.

The “host” had given them a very direct solution.
In Qi Xia’s opinion, this time’s hints were completely unnecessary.
Did they want them to die, or did they want them to survive?

Why specify “Human Sheep” and “Human Dog”?
If “Human Sheep” and “Human Dog” weren’t names, what did they represent?
“Hey, conman, come over here!” Qiao Jiajin shouted. “If you stand under those holes, you’ll die!”

“Die…?” Qi Xia glanced coldly at the holes in the ceiling. “I can’t die here. I have a reason I must get out.”
“What’s going on…? Even the smartest guy’s acting strange now?” Qiao Jiajin was puzzled.
Qi Xia raised his index finger and gently tapped his temple.

“Wait… wait… give me a little more time.”
The group even slowed their breathing, watching Qi Xia in the center of the room. No one understood why such an obvious game required so much thought.
