The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 230: Gnashing Teeth and Swallowing

Unlike the inexperienced Hermione, Hagrid, who had been wronged many times in the past few decades, had a clear understanding of the corruption and arrogance of the Ministry of Magic. If Buckbeak, as a magical creature, was sent to the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures for trial, Hagrid was sure that Buckbeak would surely die.

But now, Irina told him that as long as he was willing to pay the price of being suspended from work for half a year, he could get Buckbeak to live in peace. How could Hagrid, who always loved magical animals, refuse? !

"Thank you, thank you. Lynn is a good kid. If he wasn't willing to help, Buckbeak would be doomed. He is so innocent."

Hagrid blew his nose hard and sobbed.

After receiving a positive reply from Hagrid, Lynn sent the letter he had written in advance to his mother Rowena.

Although the Rowle Manor was completely closed for eleven years after Lynn's father Hendry Rowle was murdered, the Rowle family's scattered family businesses are still being operated normally by agents once appointed by the Rowle family.

After Lynn received the admission letter from Hogwarts and entered Hogwarts Castle, Rowena used her strong woman skills to quickly contact all the industry agents and take back the lost industries.

Even those Ministry of Magic staff who originally had business dealings with the Rowle family but severed ties because of Voldemort, once again established cooperative relations with the Rowle family under the temptation of huge profits.

In this case, it was not difficult for the still huge Rowle family to exonerate a hippogriff that was looked down upon by wizards.

Even the biggest obstruction, Lucius Malfoy, was promised by Rowena that the Ministry of Magic staff controlled by the Rowle family would support the Malfoy family's accusation against Hagrid, and chose to give up the accusation against Buckbeak, a dirty and lowly magical creature in his eyes.

On the other hand, Dumbledore frowned after learning that the Ministry of Magic once again determined that Hagrid was responsible for Malfoy being injured by the Hippogriff.

But just when Dumbledore was about to go to the Ministry of Magic to find out the reasons why the Ministry had changed its mind repeatedly in just a few days, Hagrid knocked on the door of the headmaster's office and told Dumbledore that he was willing to take certain responsibilities.

"Professor Dumbledore, if they can get Buckbeak off the hook by pointing the finger at me, then I am willing to take that responsibility."

Hagrid said to Dumbledore sincerely.

After hearing Hagrid's words, the mystery that had been condensed in Dumbledore's mind was completely solved.

Dumbledore sorted out his thoughts and said in a daze, "I see. It seems someone helped you, Hagrid. With my guarantee, they dare not punish you too severely. They point the finger at you and exempt Buckbeak from responsibility. It's really smart."

Dumbledore chuckled and shook his head. He didn't expect that he himself was a part of these links.

"Can you tell me who helped you?"

Dumbledore looked at Hagrid inquiringly.

Hagrid hesitated for a moment, but shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, Professor Dumbledore, maybe they don't want to make this matter public."

Even though Professor Dumbledore was Hagrid's most trusted elder, as Irina had said before, Hagrid was also unwilling to make decisions for others without his permission.

Before Lynn and Irina took the initiative to tell this matter, Hagrid would not tell this matter everywhere just for Buckbeak.

Hearing this, a gleam flashed in Dumbledore's blue eyes behind his half-moon glasses.

Although Hagrid didn't tell him the answer, from Hagrid's tone and a few words, he had roughly guessed the identity of the person who helped Hagrid.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "It's a good thing that you are willing to keep a secret for someone who has helped you. You can go back, Hagrid. I will not interfere with the Ministry of Magic's decision again."

After hearing Dumbledore's words, Hagrid finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Even though Hagrid is now a formal professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when he faces Dumbledore, he still feels like a student meeting his teacher.

After Hagrid left the headmaster's office, everything in Hogwarts Castle and the Ministry of Magic was going on in an orderly manner.

Soon, a week passed.

There was new news coming from the Ministry of Magic every day. After Rowena reached an agreement with Lucius Malfoy, the Ministry's Dangerous Animals Committee sent Hagrid a letter about the decision to revoke the trial of the Hippogriff, which made Hagrid sob with joy.

In the next few days, the Ministry of Magic officials controlled by the Malfoy family and the Rowle family worked together to overturn Hagrid's original innocence, believing that Hagrid should be held responsible for Malfoy being injured by the Hippogriff.

However, with Dumbledore, the chief wizard of the Wizengamot, as a guarantor for Hagrid, even though Hagrid went to the Ministry of Magic for trial as requested by the Ministry of Magic's letter, the final result of the trial was merely to suspend Hagrid for inspection and to fine him 5,000 Galleons in compensation.

The compensation of five thousand Galleons was not a problem for Hagrid, whose home even had carpets made of unicorn fur, and the suspension for inspection would not cause Hagrid much harm.

After all, Hagrid had only become a full professor at Hogwarts this year, and suspension for inspection meant nothing more to him than going back to his role as gamekeeper.

After learning the result of Hagrid's trial, Lucius Malfoy realized with a grim face that he had been cheated.

Just like Irina in the Room of Requirement that day, Lucius Malfoy was only thinking about putting Hagrid on trial, but forgot that with Dumbledore's guarantee, Hagrid would never be imprisoned in Azkaban.

No matter how much Lucius Malfoy regretted it, at this point, both Hagrid's case and Buckbeak's matter had been settled, and even Lucius Malfoy could only grit his teeth and swallow it.

Turning the view back to Hogwarts Castle, a competition was held again on the Quidditch field this week.

This was a match between the Slytherin Quidditch team and the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, and in this match the Slytherin Quidditch team narrowly defeated the Ravenclaw Quidditch team by a very small margin.

In addition, Harry continued to learn the Patronus Charm from Professor Lupin during this time.

At first, Harry didn't understand what Lynn meant when she said Professor Lupin could help him improve his Patronus Charm, but after he took a class where Professor Lupin taught him the Patronus Charm, he understood.

In addition to the Boggart used in class, Professor Lupin actually found another Boggart. In addition, Harry's biggest fear at the moment is Dementors, so the Boggart that appeared in front of Harry was in the shape of a Dementor.

With Dementors as training objects, Harry's Patronus Charm naturally improved rapidly.
