Tohka Yatogami's: Marvel Journey

Chapter 27: What’s the Title? Can You Eat It?

"Uh, are you okay?" I must say, little Spider has had quite an eventful time recently. These past few days, he's gone through all sorts of ups and downs. His rapidly growing strength has become difficult to control. Plus, with his altered body, he can now climb walls.

Of course, he's also made a lot of comical mistakes. For instance, when startled, he jumped straight to the ceiling and exchanged a glance with Tohka.

"Ah." Then, Peter Parker suddenly realized what had happened and tried to use his limbs to control the fall, but unfortunately, he couldn't control his strength yet and ended up falling clumsily at Tohka's feet.

"You idiot, good thing I never wear skirts." Tohka tugged at the corner of her mouth. She still couldn't get used to the light, floating sensation of wearing a skirt. Therefore, she wasn't yet in the same "absolute territory" as in the original.

If that were the case, she would definitely give little Spider a proper beating right now.

"Uh, sorry about that." True to Spider-Man's nature, while a normal person might have broken a bone, Peter Parker simply rolled over and got up from the floor.

"Forget it, just take care of yourself." Tohka gave a speechless glance at little Spider, who had been acting like a stuntman these past few days, and didn't feel like dealing with it anymore.

"Okay." Peter Parker nodded, afraid that others might notice something, especially Tohka. He was really worried she'd figure something out.

After hearing Peter Parker, Tohka grabbed her bag and started walking back. She had already received a notification from Tony to come pick up her armor, and his fat chauffeur was waiting for her at the school gate.

"Long time no see, Uncle Hogan. By the way, why did Tony ask you to pick me up today? He usually just has me go by myself." As soon as she got in the car, Tohka greeted the fat chauffeur, after all, they had become familiar after a month of him following her around.

"Yeah, it seems Tony is hosting a banquet today. He asked me to pick you up, just to prevent you from bringing him any surprises."

"..." After hearing Hogan's words, Tohka was instantly speechless. She thought about it for a moment and realized that Tony seemed to always take the blame for her, no matter what trouble she caused, he was the one who suffered. "Forget it, I won't think about it. Anyway, Tony is known as the 'blame-taking hero.'"

Anyway, the car slowly started, and the two quickly arrived at Tony's villa.

"This guy..." Before they even entered the villa, the two saw the parking lot for slow-moving vehicles. And not far from there, the villa was lit up with colorful lights, causing both Tohka and Hogan to frown.

"Forget it, I won't go." Without needing to see, Tohka already knew what was going on in the villa. She usually avoided such things. "Uncle Hogan, I'll go on my own, you can go back now."

"Okay, I'll leave now, Miss." After hearing Tohka's words, Hogan didn't say anything else and drove off. He knew Tohka had the iron armor, so he wasn't worried about her not being able to get back.

"Forget it, I'll take the back door. Tony must have given me enough clearance, I really don't want to go through the front." Tohka knew that Tony's villa had more than one entrance, but the other doors had J.A.R.V.I.S. security. Most people wouldn't take that route, especially since in Tony's private territory in America, even if someone were killed, there would be no consequences.

"Alright, it's me, J.A.R.V.I.S. Can you open the door?" Tohka walked around to the back of the villa and spoke to the camera, knowing that J.A.R.V.I.S. had already detected her.

"Click." Then, the indicator light on the camera flashed. A sound came from the door, and it was clear that the lock had been released. Tohka opened the door and walked in, ignoring the lively party upstairs and heading straight to Tony's lab.

"That should be my armor." As soon as she entered, Tohka saw several suits of iron armor, with the one at the edge noticeably smaller than the others. At the same time, its paint job was completely different from the others.

This suit was completely different from the others. The most obvious difference was the device on the chest. Although it also had an arc reactor in the chest, Tohka immediately noticed the difference. This reactor showed no fluctuation at all, unlike the one in Tony's armor.

"Miss, Tony asked me to tell you that this armor doesn't follow the previous design because he found that your own energy is very powerful. So, he redesigned the device based on your energy, which can now convert your energy into the armor's needed energy."

"This guy... that's way too exaggerated." Tohka was dumbfounded as she listened to J.A.R.V.I.S.'s explanation. She never imagined Tony's efficiency would be this high. As expected, the so-called science in Marvel was basically fake—each piece of it felt like magic.

"I'll try it out." After hearing this, Tohka excitedly ran up to the armor. As soon as she got close, the armor began to change. In just a moment, it turned into a remote control that looked exactly like the previous suit.

"Wow, this feels great." After reactivating the armor, Tohka found that the suit had become much lighter after receiving Tony's modifications. With her power now integrated, she could control it much more flexibly.

"Whoosh." Just as Tohka was about to head out and test the armor, the lab door opened again. In walked Rhodey, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Uncle Rhodey, are you okay? Why do you look so bad?"

"Ah, Tohka, you're here too. Look at what Tony did with the armor, what the hell, I'm going to go deal with him." Rhodey paused for a moment after seeing Tohka in the armor, then angrily continued.

"Uh..." Alright, after hearing Rhodey say that, Tohka remembered what Tony had done. No wonder Rhodey was so angry—after all, to him, Tony had indeed gone too far. What did he think the armor was?

"Uncle Rhodey, that suit." At this point, Tohka pointed to a nearby silver-white suit. It was the Mark I, the original silver armor. Tohka knew that Tony had specifically left that suit for Rhodey, and it was the only one Rhodey could control.

Although Tony had given it to Rhodey to shut some people up, the main reason was that he hoped Rhodey would inherit his name as Iron Man after he was gone, continuing his legacy of fighting for justice.

"Thanks, Tohka." Rhodey gave Tohka a grateful glance, then walked over to the suit. Just as Tohka had guessed, Rhodey had no trouble putting the armor on. He then gave her a quick nod and stormed out in a fit of rage.
