Tokyo Ghoul: HELL YEAH! MADARA TEMPLATE!!

Chapter 5: Chapter 4: The Unkillable Owl

The girl standing before him had messy, shoulder-length green hair, a petite and slender frame, and striking emerald eyes that shimmered under the dim streetlights.

Though her youthful appearance made her seem like a teenager, she was actually 24 years old.

Yoshimura Eto.

And behind that delicate, almost fragile facade lurked something far more sinister.

If Kamishiro Rize was considered cruel, then Eto was on an entirely different level.

Unlike Kaneki Ken, who became a half-ghoul through surgery, Eto was a natural half-ghoul—the only one of her kind.

Her power surpassed that of nearly all ghouls, making her the strongest openly known ghoul in existence. But her strength wasn't just physical—her mind was equally terrifying. Calculating, ruthless, and utterly unpredictable.

Ryoma wasn't expecting to run into her.

But rather than being surprised, he quickly calmed himself.

This wasn't a coincidence.

More than likely, Eto had taken an interest in him because of his interaction with Kamishiro Rize.

After all, Aogiri Tree had been after Rize for a long time due to her unique lineage. Given that Eto was both the founder of Aogiri Tree and the daughter of Yoshimura Kuzen, it made sense that she would be keeping an eye on Rize.

"Hey, kid. You should pay more attention to where you're walking," Eto said suddenly, her voice carrying a playful lilt.

"Thanks for the reminder. I'll be careful," Ryoma responded, keeping his tone casual.

For now, he acted as if she were just another stranger on the street.

"Be careful~"

Eto hummed a lighthearted tune before turning and walking away, as if she had merely bumped into him by chance.

To an average person, her words wouldn't mean anything.

But Ryoma understood.

She was warning him.

And that meant he was already under surveillance—likely by Eto herself or Aogiri Tree.

Still, he wasn't concerned.

Eto wouldn't make any reckless moves.

Like Yoshimura Kuzen, she couldn't afford to act against Rize directly—not with the Washuu Clan's involvement. At most, she might send subordinates like Gecko (Yamori) to capture her.

Ryoma met Eto's teasing remark with a quiet but firm response.

"I know."

Though he spoke softly, Eto undoubtedly heard him.

She didn't turn back, but the corner of her lips curled into an intrigued smile.

Interesting~

This guy wasn't as simple as he seemed.

A human who willingly got close to Kamishiro Rize… Even confessed to her? That alone made him worth watching.

Yet, for all her intelligence gathering, there was no information on him.

She could tell by scent that he wasn't a ghoul. So was he human? Half-human? An investigator?

And what was even more curious—he had been holding a copy of The Black Goat's Egg.

Eto's interest in Kanzaki Ryoma had just grown significantly.

---

Ryoma finally returned to his apartment in the 20th Ward.

Since most universities in Japan didn't provide dormitories, students either rented apartments or commuted from home. Fortunately, his assigned home was close to Kamii University, making things convenient.

As he set his book down, his gaze landed on a mirror.

A thought crossed his mind, prompting him to step closer.

He hadn't checked his reflection since arriving in this world.

Leaning in, he examined his face.

His features remained largely the same—sharp eyebrows, strong jawline, and an overall handsome appearance. However, there were some notable differences.

His hairstyle had changed, now significantly longer, resembling that of Uchiha Madara—though not quite as wild. It was more like Obito Uchiha's Red Night look, just without the long ponytail.

With his new hairstyle and the Sharingan, even if his facial features weren't identical to Madara's, the resemblance was undeniable.

Speaking of which…

He had yet to activate his Sharingan since arriving.

Closing his eyes for a moment, he focused.

Then, with a thought—

His vision sharpened instantly.

A crimson glow reflected in the mirror, revealing a single tomoe spinning in each eye.

The enhancement was immediate.

His perception heightened, details became clearer, and his reaction time felt noticeably faster.

It was like exchanging his ordinary sight for a completely different pair of eyes.

Yet, despite the overwhelming clarity, he could feel the subtle drain of chakra.

So the system has fully integrated the Uchiha bloodline into my body…

That meant he could activate and deactivate the Sharingan at will, just like a true Uchiha.

Without hesitation, he closed his eyes again and deactivated it.

Leaving it on constantly would only waste energy—and in this world, the last thing he needed was unnecessary attention.

The Sharingan's red glow resembled the ghoul's kakugan. If he walked around with it active, it would only invite trouble.

Best to use it sparingly.

After preparing and eating a simple dinner, Ryoma finished reading The Black Goat's Egg before heading to bed.

The Next Morning

Before heading to Kamii University, Ryoma made a quick stop at Antique to return the borrowed book.

This time, instead of Kirishima Touka, he was greeted by an elderly man.

Yoshimura Kuzen.

The manager of Antique.

A kind-looking, elderly gentleman with a gentle smile—

And an SSS-rated ghoul feared across Tokyo.

"The deposit has been returned. Please check the amount," Yoshimura said, his tone warm and polite.

Had Ryoma not known better, he might have mistaken him for just another friendly old man.

But behind that kind expression was one of the most dangerous ghouls in existence—

The "Unkillable Owl."
