The ninjas were merely tools, and their leader must be someone else. Daisy looked around, waiting for that person to show up, wanting to see who was ambushing her.

"Indeed, you are an elite agent, fearless in the face of danger, extraordinary in your demeanor. Unfortunately, you will meet your end here today."

A tall, skinny man, holding a sword that glowed with a cold light, slowly emerged from the woods.

He had a mocking expression on his face, with curly hair, a stubbled chin, and rough skin, giving him a weather-beaten appearance. However, his eyes betrayed an age far beyond his years.

There was an ancient aura about him, but his grip on the sword was strong and agile, like a venomous snake ready to strike.

Sword like autumn water, the man like a wild beast, that was the first impression the curly-haired black man gave Daisy.

These people had been following her for a long time, from Afghanistan to Nepal, except for Kamar-Taj, they had been trailing her all the way.

The Hand's ninjas were adept at concealing their heartbeats, even hiding their frequencies half of the time. Daisy could only sense them vaguely.

"What's your name?"

"Bakuto." The curly-haired man's gaze was sharp, looking at Daisy as if she were already dead.

"Oh, you're Colleen's teacher, right? I heard your swordsmanship is good?"

Daisy unconsciously continued mumbling to herself, "What's with this hispanic look? Is Kun'Lun so lenient with skin color? I heard they don't want foreigners coming in. How did you manage to sneak in and become an Elder?"

She could understand him because this guy changed his body every few decades but the TV show also had a black person being a finger of the 'Japanese' criminal organization... How did this guy even reach Asia(Kun Lun) 500 years ago?

"Hehe, you even know about Kun'Lun? Well, I can't let you live now!" Bakuto waved his hand, ready to let the ninjas attack.

"Wait!" Daisy hurriedly stopped him and took out her adamantium sword and shield from her bag.

Bakuto, maybe thinking the honor of a swordsman, took a step back.

In his eyes, Daisy was preparing to fight him alone, creating an opportunity to escape.

Unlike Madam Gao, who focused on practicing Chi, Bakuto had always been practicing swordsmanship. To maintain his peak physical condition, he needed to change his body every fifty years, transferring his memories and experiences to a new body. Mastery of Chi varied with each body change, but his swordsmanship had always been advancing towards the pinnacle.

He feared no challenge.

Unfortunately, he overestimated Daisy's warrior spirit and didn't know the bottom line of a transmigrator.

Warrior spirit? Daisy had no idea what that was. This thing was not in her dictionary at all. She took out her sword and shield just to conceal her next move.

Feeling confident in his victory, Bakuto suddenly felt a sharp, needle-like premonition, sensing that something extremely dangerous was about to happen, something that could threaten his life.

Following his instincts, without a second thought, he rolled on the spot.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a brilliant silver thread encircling Daisy at the center, swiftly probing around her.

The trees, rocks, dried leaves, ninjas—nothing could stop this silver line.

The ninjas' habit of leaping saved them. Positioned at various heights, front and back, Daisy's attention was not on them but on the seemingly powerful Bakuto.

Even so, seven or eight elite ninjas, who could pass for mini-bosses, didn't even get a chance to report their names before they were either atomized from head to toe or sliced open from the head or heart.

Limbs and torsos scattered like dumplings, the red-clad ninjas' bodies littered the dense forest, their heads flying in the air due to blood pressure. Two were instantly killed, but two were cleaved at the waist, their innards spilling out. Despite their rigorous training, some consciousness remained in the ninjas as they silently screamed, clutching their lower bodies as if trying to reattach them.

Five ninjas managed to escape with their lives, but two had their hands cut off, and one lost both shoulder and arm, leaving only two unscathed.

Despite undergoing rigorous training to abandon their emotions of fear, the two surviving ninjas, who narrowly escaped death, felt an inexplicable palpitation. With their faces covered by red cloths, they looked to Bakuto, hoping one of the Hand's Fingers could give them confidence.

Bakuto was the center of Daisy's attention. Though he managed to escape with his unmatched vigilance, his skilled right hand was severed, the smooth stump gushing blood uncontrollably.

His heart was trembling in his chest and the confidence that he had been building was almost completely destroyed.

Seeing the two intact ninjas, Bakuto realized their minds were filled with negativity. Even if they survived today, their hearts were ruined, making death not much different.

Escape! Daisy's tactics far exceeded Bakuto's expectations. Having lived for four centuries, he was already prepared to flee.

By using the consciousness transfer device, he could switch to another body without affecting his mastery of swordsmanship.

Daisy raised her right hand, revealing the Disintegration Ring, striking a pose she thought was very cool.

The Phoenix brought immense psychological pressure to her. Blood and slaughter eased her slightly, but it wasn't enough!

Seeing Bakuto picking up his sword and turning to flee, Daisy hurried to catch up.

In just two steps, she ran up to Bakuto. "Old man, don't panic. Madame Gao is still waiting for you down there!"

As she spoke, her long sword flashed like lightning, slashing horizontally.

Having trained in swordsmanship for four hundred years, Bakuto's skills were not to be underestimated, having reached the pinnacle. Even using his left hand, his skills remained incredibly sharp. His sword was even more extraordinary, unscathed even by the adamantium strike.

In just one move, he counterattacked fiercely, forcing Daisy to raise her shield to meet him.

"Is this all you've got?" Bakuto was angry. Daisy's mediocre swordsmanship wouldn't even be worth mentioning in the past. Now, he had to choose to flee, which was a blow to his warrior's heart.

Daisy was also frustrated. Despite her superior speed and strength, facing Bakuto's strikes, she couldn't come up with a way to counter them, so she could only stupidly block with her shield.

The two surviving ninjas also realized this and threw a bunch of gleaming throwing stars at Daisy.

Seizing the opportunity while she was blocking the throwing stars, Bakuto forced Daisy back with two strikes, then turned and ran.

The Hand leaders' perception was as keen as his swordsmanship. He shouted loudly, "That last move was a one-time thing. She can't use it anymore!"

The two ninjas were shocked when they heard the words, observing Daisy, they realized she hadn't used that terrifying silver thread attack again, boosting their morale slightly.

One of them wielded two short knives, while the other pulled out a chain hammer from somewhere and began to swing it wildly as if he was dancing.
