Two Summit War :One Piece

Chapter 6: 006. The Man in the White Military Uniform and the Thermos Cup

The door creaked open.

Unlike the chaotic way the bandits barged in during the original timeline, this entrance was calm—measured.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Slow, steady, rhythmic footsteps echoed in the pub, gradually silencing the once-boisterous atmosphere.

Every patron turned toward the door.

There, standing at the entrance, was a tall, sharp-eyed man. He wore crisp white military trousers and a matching shirt. Draped casually over his shoulders was a pure white cape, fluttering slightly as he stepped inside.

In one hand, he carried a transparent thermos cup.

The moment the Red Hair Pirates saw it, an ominous feeling crept into their hearts.

Then, as their eyes traced upward to see his face, their expressions turned tense.

The atmosphere in the room shifted in an instant.

A sniper's fingers trembled. A chef forgot his meal. A strategist, normally calm and collected, subconsciously edged toward the window.

Even Shanks, sitting at the bar with his back turned, felt the weight of the moment.

His grip on his straw hat tightened.

What a narrow road fate has led me down…

Despite always being on high alert, even when drinking in a remote tavern, he had failed to notice this man's arrival.

A Mystery to the Original World

In the present-day world, those familiar with the thermos cup already understood.

But in the original world, confusion spread among the viewers.

They had a clear, bird's-eye view of everything happening in the bar.

This was Red-Haired Shanks, one of the Four Emperors. Even back then, he led an elite crew.

So why… were they all so afraid?

"(Original) Yasopp: No way! Impossible! I'm a sniper—I never lose control of my hands!"

Yasopp in the original timeline stared in disbelief at the screen, watching himself tremble so much that he couldn't even hold his gun steady.

He had fought through countless battles. His nerves were unshakable. His hands wouldn't tremble even if he were gripping molten iron, let alone a pistol.

Even if he were up against thousands of enemies, he wouldn't falter.

Yet here he was, visibly afraid.

"(Original) Fat Chef:" Me? Giving up food? No way! If I don't eat meat for even a second, I'll starve to death!"

The rest of the crew resisted the urge to mock him.

He wasn't starving—he was scared.

"(Original) Benn Beckman:" I was already planning an escape route? That means… I saw no chance of victory!"

Benn Beckman, the Red Hair Pirates' strategist and one of the world's sharpest minds, was stunned.

His role was to guide the crew through the most perilous situations. His intelligence had been instrumental in securing their rise as an Emperor's crew.

Yet, the version of him in the other world had instantly resorted to escape?

His expression darkened.

"...How is that possible? How could I, of all people, not see any way to win?"

A Reality Check from Another World

Benn Beckman from the present timeline, watching this unfold, responded on the public screen.

"(Current) Benn Beckman:" Don't overestimate intelligence. Against absolute power, wisdom means nothing. That's the lesson I learned the first time I met him.

A collective gasp spread through the original world's Red Hair Pirates.

For someone like Benn Beckman to say that…

Who was this man?

"(Original) Shanks:" Just what kind of monster are we dealing with?

Shanks was deeply unsettled.

At that point in time, he was already close to reaching the peak of the pirate world.

His crew—Yasopp, Benn Beckman, and the others—were warriors far stronger than even the Shichibukai.

Yet, here they were, looking utterly defeated before even drawing their weapons.

And his own expression… was one of despair.

That meant only one thing—whoever this man was, he was beyond reason or resistance.

Who is This Man?

Meanwhile, the high-ranking Marines in the original world were paying close attention.

"(Original) Sengoku:" Is this the guy Kaido was talking about? That uniform… He's a Marine? But I don't recall anyone like him!

"(Original) Garp:" Could he be the one who led my grandson to become a Marine?

Their eyes drifted to Staff Officer Tsuru, who had remained silent until now.

Then, in a private message, she spoke.

"(Current) Tsuru: Look at his rank. He's not just some Marine. He's standing at the very center of Marineford Square.

The camera shifted, revealing a real-time feed of the present world.

There, at the very heart of Marineford, stood the man in the white uniform.

His posture was relaxed. The thermos cup in his hand was ordinary.

But the way he stood—as if he owned the battlefield—was anything but.

The Embarrassing Truth About a Certain Marshal

Despite the serious conversation, Tsuru's attention momentarily drifted.

She had once commented on the public screen… and was immediately roasted by people from the present world.

"Madam Marshal, how many babies have you had over there?"

The memory made her shudder.

She refused to post on the public screen again.

But then… she glanced at Sengoku beside her.

His expression was a mix of awkwardness, frustration… and nostalgia.

"(Original) Sengoku:" Dammit… I never even considered it before, but… If only I had been a little braver in my youth.

Garp, sensing something off, grinned slyly.

"Oi, you two… Why do you look so weird?"

"SHUT UP!"

The synchronized outburst from both Sengoku and Tsuru made him laugh even harder.

A Defining Moment

Back in the footage, the screen remained frozen on the man in white.

The Red Hair Pirates, past and present, continued to stare.

"(Original) Yasopp:" No way… Are you saying this guy is stronger than Whitebeard?

"(Original) Benn Beckman:" That's exactly what I'm saying.

A heavy silence followed.

Even in the original timeline, the only name that could command that level of fear… was Whitebeard himself.

If this man was stronger than that?

Then everything in this alternate world made sense.

Garp's Silent Wish

Garp, watching from his timeline, clenched his fists.

"(Original) Garp:" If this man really led my grandson to the Marines… then maybe… just maybe…

A Luffy who became an Admiral.

A Luffy who upheld justice.

A Luffy who never had to suffer through losing Ace.

Was it possible?

Garp could feel his own conviction wavering.

The Final Question

As the world held its breath, the Red Hair Pirates from the original timeline finally asked the one question that had been haunting them since the beginning.

"(Original) Shanks:" …Just who is this man?

And from the present world, Shanks smiled.

"(Current) Shanks:" The man who changed everything.

To be continued…
