Chapter 734: Stirring Up Trouble

Villain Ch 734. Stirring Up Trouble

"Goldborne probably has some spare clothes lying around, and she's got the means to buy whatever she needs," he added, though the thought of his cousin wandering around the mansion without any prior notice still left him feeling uneasy.

Bella and Alice exchanged knowing glances, both feeling a sense of unease at the thought of VirtualValkyrie's sudden appearance at Goldborne Mansion.

"So… unpredictable?" Alice guessed.

"Unpredictable," Allen clarified.

"Talk about bad luck," Bella groaned, her expression twisted into a cringe as she processed the situation.

Allen offered a wry smile in response. "I can't say it's bad luck. It's just that this will indeed be a game of hide and seek," he remarked, his tone surprisingly upbeat given the circumstances. "Besides... we don't have any events after this. So, we're safe for the time being," he reassured them, his confidence unwavering.

Alice's brow furrowed in thought as she considered the potential implications. "What if she invites us to hunt together?" she voiced her concern, a hint of worry creeping into her voice.

Allen's expression grew thoughtful as he mulled over the possibility. "Oh right, I hadn't thought of that," he admitted, a flicker of concern crossing his features. Continue reading stories on empire

"To think, she's a member of the Ironclad Legion guild. And that guild just rose in guild rank," Bella added, her memory jogging to recall recent events. The guild's recent rise in rank meant they were likely to attract attention and allies, potentially complicating matters even further.

Allen sighed, running a hand through his hair calmly. "Well, if she does invite us, we'll just have to play it cool and stick to the plan," he declared, his tone firm. "Just join her as common players like usual," he stated.

Alice turned to Bella, her brow furrowed in thought. "If I'm not mistaken, that guild is kinda taking over the spotlight from the Order of Valiance now," she remarked, her voice tinged with a hint of concern. She couldn't help but acknowledge the impressive leadership skills of Arcana, the leader of the Ironclad Legion, as she considered their rising prominence in the gaming world.

Bella nodded in agreement, her expression mirroring Alice's concern. "Yeah, they've been making waves lately. Arcana knows how to rally their members and make things happen," she admitted, her tone begrudgingly respectful.

Allen offered a reassuring smile. "Well, maybe after this little... hiccup, the Order of Valiance will reclaim their spot at the top," he suggested optimistically, though the uncertainty in his voice betrayed a hint of doubt.

Bella let out a frustrated sigh, her irritation palpable as she leaned back against the wall. "Ah... You just mentioned the Order of Valiance and Elio in Ront City earlier," she muttered with a huff. "That should be enough to raise the Order of Valiance's reputation again," she added, her tone laced with sarcasm.

Alice raised an eyebrow at Bella's outburst before turning to Allen with a mischievous glint in her eye. "It seems you have something with Elio," she observed, her voice dripping with teasing amusement. "You keep defending him," she pointed out, her tone playful.

Allen chuckled at Alice's remark, his devilish grin widening into a smirk. "I'm not defending him," he insisted, though the twinkle in his eyes betrayed his true feelings. "Like I said, I just love watching her squirm," he added with an annoying smile, his tone brimming with mischief.

Bella rolled her eyes at Allen's response, though a small smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. "Sure, sure. We all know how much you enjoy stirring up trouble," she teased, a hint of fondness coloring her words.

Alice couldn't help but laugh at the banter between her companions. "Well, whatever your reasons, Allen, just remember to keep it entertaining," she advised with a playful wink, her tone light and carefree.

Allen nodded in agreement, his grin widening into a grin. "Oh, you can count on it," he assured them, a glint of excitement dancing in his eyes. "Alright, enough chit chat. Shall we get going?" Allen chimed in, his tone decisive as he glanced around at his companions.

Bella nodded in agreement, a determined look in her eyes. "Okay, but let's grab the quest first. We haven't done that yet," she suggested, gesturing toward the looming mansion with her thumb.

Allen considered her suggestion for a moment before turning to the group. "Or should we wait for the others?" he proposed, his brow furrowed in thought.

Alice shook her head, her expression relaxed yet resolute. "Well, there's no harm in taking the quest first," she reasoned, her voice calm and collected. "We can always catch up with the others later," she added, her tone reassuring.

With energetic steps, Allen, Bella, and Alice pushed open the creaking doors of the mansion. The air inside was heavy with an ominous silence, broken only by the sound of their footsteps echoing through the grand foyer. Without hesitation, they made their way to Grimar, who stood in the center of the quest room.

They approached and talked to him, their interfaces pinged to life, displaying the Making Armor quest alongside a newly appeared kill list.

"Who's your target?" Allen suggested, his curiosity piqued as he glanced at his companions.

Alice grimaced as she checked her interface. "Well, I've got Father^Alex and Elio on mine," she revealed, her tone tinged with a hint of annoyance. "And--- you know, they also give me VirtualValkyrie too," she added with a roll of her eyes.

Bella nodded in agreement, her expression serious as she scanned her own list. "Yep, Elio and VirtualValkyrie are on mine too," she confirmed, her voice tinged with resignation. "But I've also got Red_King thrown into the mix, not Father^Alex," she remarked, a furrow appearing on her brow as she considered the implications of their targets.

Allen raised an eyebrow as he processed the information. "Looks like we've got our work cut out for us," he commented, his tone a mixture of determination and apprehension. "But hey, at least we'll have some excitement along the way, right?" he added, flashing his companions a reassuring smile.
