Chapter 743: Rage Quit!
Villain Ch 743. Rage Quit!
Sophia's desperation was palpable as she pleaded with the other players, her voice tinged with frustration and a hint of fear. "Please believe me!" she begged, her eyes pleading with them to see the truth she knew in her heart.
But as she scanned their faces for any sign of validation, Sophia couldn't help but feel a sinking sensation in the pit of her stomach. With Liam and Darren, her only witnesses, nowhere to be found, she knew it would be difficult to prove her case. Their respawn point lay far outside the city of Ront, and it would take time for them to return.
"Maybe you should calm yourself," one of the players suggested, their tone gentle but firm as they attempted to diffuse the tense atmosphere that hung over the group like a dark cloud.
Sophia's frustration bubbled to the surface at the suggestion, her chest tight with anger and disbelief.
"Yeah, we saw your drama on the gaming forum," another player chimed in, a teasing lilt to their voice that grated on Sophia's nerves. "Looks like you're having a rough day, huh?"
Sophia's temper flared at the insinuation, her cheeks burning hot with indignation. "No, this has nothing to do with that!" she snapped, her voice trembling with emotion. She couldn't understand why none of them believed her, why they dismissed her claims so easily.
"You know, taking a break from the game is also a good option. Like, for a couple of days," he offered, his words tinged with genuine worry.
Sophia's response came swift and sharp, her annoyance evident in her tone as she brushed off the suggestion. "No, I don't want to take a break," she retorted, her jaw set stubbornly.
The mere thought of stepping away from the game filled her with unease; after all, she had worked hard to build her reputation, and she couldn't afford to let it slip, especially not now, when all eyes were on Father^Alex.
But as the other players voiced their concerns, Sophia couldn't help but feel a pang of doubt gnawing at her resolve. "I think you should," one of them chimed in, their tone strained with stress. "The last time you made a scene at the last event, it already didn't make sense. Now you're jumping onto the street out of nowhere," they pointed out, their words hitting Sophia like a slap to the face.
Sophia felt a surge of frustration bubbling up inside her at the implication. She knew she had made mistakes in the past, but that didn't mean she was wrong about this. She couldn't let them dismiss her claims so easily, not when she knew the truth.
"What scene?" echoed the others, their confusion evident in their voices.
With a resigned sigh, one of the players stepped in to fill them in on the details. "She shouted to call out the emperor and ended up dying in vain. Just check it on the forum. Someone just uploaded the footage," they explained, their words dripping with a mix of sympathy and amusement.
Sophia bristled at the mention of her past mistakes, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment at the reminder of her failed attempt to challenge the emperor. "No hard feelings. Nice stunt by the way," the player added, a hint of teasing in their tone.
Sophia's frustration boiled over as she swept her gaze over the group, her displeasure evident in the hiss of her words. "You guys don't understand," she muttered, feeling more isolated and misunderstood than ever before.
"Nope. What I understand is, if I'm injured and I'm a healer, I'll use my healing skill first, not argue with people," chimed in another player, his tone firm and direct as he fixed their gaze on Sophia.
Sophia felt a pang of discomfort at the pointed remark, knowing deep down that he had a point. But she needed the wounds to get the attention.
"Ah, that's why Father^Alex took her rank on the top healer list," echoed another player, their words carrying a note of realization, connecting the dots.

The implications of their words hit Sophia like a ton of bricks, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment at the thought of losing her prestigious rank. She had worked hard to earn that title, and now it seemed she had squandered it in a moment of recklessness.
"So it was Mac and Order of Valiance that carried her?" speculated another player, their voice tinged with skepticism as they tried to make sense of Sophia's apparent shortcomings.
Sophia bit her lip. She had always prided herself on being a valuable asset to their team, but now she couldn't shake the feeling that she had failed.
"I think. And with the game getting more difficult, of course Mac needs a more qualified healer. He can't play around anymore," added another player.
The murmurs among the players grew louder and more insistent, Sophia felt her frustration bubbling to the surface like a pot about to boil over. The whispers seemed to echo in her ears, each word a stinging reminder of her failures and shortcomings.
'Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!' Sophia seethed inwardly, her annoyance reaching its breaking point. She couldn't stand another moment of their judgmental stares and whispered accusations.
With a clenched jaw and a pounding heart, Sophia made a snap decision. Without a word to anyone, she reached for the logout button.
In a fit of frustration, Sophia ripped off her VR headset, her fingers fumbling with the straps in her haste to be free of the virtual world that had become a source of aggravation. The device slipped from her grasp and clattered to the desk with a sharp thud, the sound echoing through the quiet room.
Her annoyance and rage simmered just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over at any moment. She felt a knot tightening in her stomach, her chest constricting with the weight of her pent-up emotions. With a stifled growl of frustration, Sophia slumped back in her chair, her mind swirling with thoughts of defeat and inadequacy.
She wanted to scream, to vent her frustrations to the empty room, but instead, she settled for a heavy sigh.
