Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde

Chapter 58: Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [58]

The chest of the cosmic robot, Iron, lit up with a blue glow, and then a deep blue energy beam shot directly at Ace Robot's chest timer.

Originally, Ace Robot would have needed more than ten hours to fully recover his energy, but now the red light on his chest began flashing and quickly turned blue again—his energy was fully restored.

The radar on the Pedan spaceship could pinpoint exactly which hive mothership the bracelet users were in. When attacking, they simply needed to avoid those locations.

"Ace! Target the swarm escort ship directly ahead—fire the Metarium Ray at full power!" Rhodes issued the attack order.

Clearing out these bio-escort ships didn't require the use of the Super Metarium Ray.

Just a full-powered Metarium Ray was enough. With Ace Robot enhanced to his peak state, the power of the Metarium Ray was sufficient to destroy these biological escort ships.

More importantly, regular Metarium Rays consumed far less energy than the Super Metarium Rays.

Additionally, the Ultra Hole on Ace Robot's head could absorb the light from the main star of a stellar system, slowly replenishing his energy.

"Cha!"

Ace Robot immediately struck his signature pose. After gathering energy, he formed an "L" shape with his arms and fired the full-powered Metarium Ray.

A rainbow-colored beam was unleashed once more, launching an assault on the hive fleet in space.

BOOM! BOOM!

One after another, Tyranid hive escort ships exploded into cosmic fireworks.

Despite Ace Robot's attacks, a dozen Tyranid bio-escort ships finally closed into attack range, and their biological cannons immediately locked onto Ace Robot.

Rhodes smirked and had Iron activate the energy absorption device in his chest, forming a shield in front of Ace Robot.

Iron's energy absorption device was absurdly powerful—it could absorb any form of energy.

One acted as a tank, the other as firepower. The bio-ships that attempted to attack Rhodes were swiftly wiped out.

Meanwhile, Rhodes' Pedan mothership had arrived at the battlefield, stealthily approaching the hive mothership.

The two Pedanium main cannons were charging up. The firepower of the mothership's main cannons was on par with the Super Metarium Ray—something the Tyranids had yet to witness.

On another front, members of the Deathwatch had infiltrated the hive mothership. As soon as they entered, they were assaulted by the psychic attacks of the Norn Queen.

However, Rhodes had granted them the Emperor's golden psychic shield, protecting them from the psychic onslaught.

Seeing that psychic attacks were ineffective, the Norn Emissaries, Norn Brain, and several Tyrants by the Norn Queen's side immediately charged at the Space Marines.

Zzzzap! Zzzzap! Zzzzap!

Blue Pedanium beams lashed out, instantly blasting massive holes through the Tyranid Hive Tyrants, causing them to collapse.

The other Tyrants and Norn Queen's guards met the same fate.

"This is way more powerful than bolt guns! These weapons are amazing!" one Deathwatch member exclaimed.

"These ray weapons are similar to those used by the Necrons—they disintegrate their targets," a Deathwatch lieutenant added.

Indeed, both were energy weapons. The difference was that Necron weapons emitted green disintegration rays, which were almost always fatal on impact.

The blue beams, on the other hand, first blasted gaping wounds in the Tyranids' bodies before slowly disintegrating them.

The weapons of humanity's Golden Age were beyond their imagination.

What the Deathwatch members didn't realize was that every Tyranid they killed with Pedan weapons counted as recharge material for Rhodes.

Upon death, their biomass was instantly decomposed and converted into energy, creating an effect similar to the Necron Gauss weapons.

"This is truly formidable. Hurry up and plant the explosives so we can retreat! Our psychic shields won't last forever," the Deathwatch lieutenant ordered.

The Emperor's psychic power could indeed protect them, but only temporarily. The Norn Queen, in her domain, possessed unfathomable psychic strength.

Even with the Emperor's protection, they could still hear piercing psychic shrieks assaulting their minds. If they stayed too long, they would go mad—even under the Emperor's shield.

The Deathwatch Marines nodded. The frontline soldiers provided covering fire, engaging the hive guards, while two others planted the timed explosives on the hive mothership.

Once the bombs were set, the Deathwatch lieutenant wasted no time, activating his teleport bracelet and returning to the Pedan ship.

The entire operation took only a few minutes.

As the team returned, Rhodes pressed the detonator.

BOOM! BOOM!

On the spaceship's electronic screens, the crew watched as one of the Tyranid hive motherships in the fleet exploded into countless fragments.

"We did it!"

"We took down a Tyranid mothership!" The Deathwatch members cheered, waving their fists in triumph.

Normally, taking down a hive mothership was a task for the Imperial Navy or their Chapter's main battle barges. This was the first time they had destroyed one through boarding operations.

This victory filled the Deathwatch Space Marines with excitement—they had never fought such an exhilarating battle.

"Don't get too excited! The fight isn't over yet!" Rhodes cut in. "I'm giving you another psychic shield—head to the next hive mothership and keep bombing!"

This was just the beginning!

Rhodes had no intention of stopping at just one hive ship.

His current strategy was to draw in a massive number of Tyranid hive escorts while the Space Marines struck from behind.

Once the Tyranids could no longer take the pressure, he would unleash his trump card—aiming for either total annihilation or crippling this Leviathan tendril.

"Understood, my lord! We'll move out immediately!"

"Remember! Be efficient—don't get bogged down fighting the bugs. Plant the bombs and get out right away! Even this time, I thought you were a bit slow."

As he spoke, Rhodes once again channeled golden psychic energy, reinforcing the Deathwatch Marines with the Emperor's protection.

A flash of blue light and the Deathwatch team vanished once again.

Rhodes continued piloting Ace Robot, assaulting the hive fleet and clearing out the bio-escort ships before him.

As he closed in on the remaining bio-ships, Rhodes decided to test one of Ace's signature moves.

"Ace, use the Ultra Guillotine to cut it down."
