When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 142: Meeting With The Angels

In the meantime in the cardinal world after feeling the ripple effects of Artemis powers they knew that it won't be long until he attacks. So the demon lords called for another walpurgis to strategize and make sure everything is in place for a strong defense and counter attack.

The grand hall of the Walpurgis meeting buzzed with tension as the Demon Lords gathered, each radiating their unique auras of power. They all knew the purpose of this urgent gathering—to strategize for the inevitable conflict against Artemis Valtheron. Guy Crimson, seated at the head, tapped his fingers on the armrest of his chair, his sharp crimson eyes scanning the room.

Before Rimuru could speak, a portal of shimmering energy tore through the fabric of space, flooding the hall with a radiant, divine light. The Demon Lords immediately stood, their powers flaring defensively as three figures emerged from the portal.

Feldway, clad in white-gold armor that radiated an intimidating majesty, stepped forward. To his right stood Zelanus, whose slender frame and sharp, calculating eyes seemed to pierce through all they observed. To Feldway's left was Zalario, a towering figure whose black armor pulsed with an oppressive, yet calm energy.

"Who dares intrude?" Guy Crimson growled, his aura flaring dangerously as he prepared to strike. The other Demon Lords mirrored his hostility, their energy rising.

Feldway raised a hand, his expression calm yet authoritative. "We are not here to fight. Stand down. Lord Beerus sent us."

The tension in the room eased, though the Demon Lords remained cautious. Rimuru, sitting quietly, observed the newcomers with narrowed eyes, his instincts telling him they were not to be underestimated.

"Beerus sent you?" Luminous asked, her tone skeptical. "For what purpose?"

Feldway's sharp gaze swept the room before briefly lingering on Rimuru. His eyes narrowed slightly, as if sensing something extraordinary. Zelanus and Zalario exchanged glances, both clearly intrigued by Rimuru's aura.

Feldway finally answered, his voice calm but firm. "Lord Beerus felt the ripple effects of Artemis Valtheron's power slipping through the cracks of his seal. It is no secret that his release is imminent. When we inquired about the situation, Beerus instructed us not to interfere directly but to provide support. That is why we are here."

Milim tilted her head, crossing her arms. "Support? What kind of support?"

Zalario stepped forward, his deep voice reverberating through the hall. "Artemis will not attack alone. He will send an army—his harbingers of ruin. If the cardinal world is to survive, you will need an army of your own."

Feldway continued, "We offer you the assistance of the angels under our command. One million. Perhaps even two million, should the need arise."

The room fell into stunned silence. The idea of having such a force on their side was both a relief and a revelation.

Ramiris fluttered nervously. "Two million angels? Are you serious? With that many, wouldn't we be unstoppable?"

Zelanus interjected, his tone clinical. "Not quite. Artemis's minions are no ordinary soldiers. They are born of chaos, infused with his power, and are capable of overwhelming even the most formidable defenses. The angels will be crucial in evening the odds, but do not expect an easy victory."

Rimuru, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. "If Beerus is willing to send angels, it means he truly believes Artemis's forces will be a challenge. But relying on them entirely isn't wise. We need to ensure our own forces are prepared. Our strategy must account for Artemis's ability to manipulate chaos and disrupt the battlefield."

Feldway nodded approvingly. "Well said. Artemis's greatest strength is his unpredictability. His power can distort reality itself, which is why preparation and adaptability are key. Our angels will provide support, but the leadership and strategy must come from you."

Luminous leaned forward, her icy gaze fixed on Feldway. "And what of Artemis himself? If we somehow manage to defeat his army, will Beerus step in to finish him?"

Feldway's expression hardened. "No. Beerus has made it clear—this is your fight. If you cannot stand against Artemis, Beerus sees no point in intervening. Consider this a test, both of your strength and your will to protect your world."

The room fell into a thoughtful silence, the weight of Feldway's words sinking in.

Guy Crimson broke the silence, his smirk returning. "Then it's settled. We focus on training our armies, fortifying our defenses, and preparing for the worst. Rimuru, you're probably the best suited to coordinate with the other nations. I'll handle rallying forces from the Demon Lord factions."

Milim slammed her fist on the table enthusiastically. "I'll train my forces harder than ever! They'll be ready to crush anything Artemis throws at us!"

Rimuru nodded, his calm demeanor masking the storm of thoughts in his mind. "I'll also open the Labyrinth to train not just my forces but anyone willing to fight. We can modify it to simulate conditions against chaos-infused enemies."

Feldway, Zelanus, and Zalario listened intently, occasionally nodding in approval. Zelanus finally spoke, his voice cutting through the discussion. "Time is short. We estimate Artemis's seal will fully break within a matter of weeks. Use that time wisely."

Zalario added, "We will leave our angels stationed nearby. Should you need their assistance, simply call upon them. But remember, victory lies in your hands, not ours."

The meeting concluded with the Demon Lords and the angels solidifying their plans. As the celestial trio prepared to leave, Feldway glanced at Rimuru one last time, his expression unreadable.

"Rimuru Tempest," he said, his voice carrying an undertone of respect. "I hope your power is as formidable as it feels. You may be the key to tipping the scales in this battle."

With that, the angels vanished through a glowing portal, leaving the Demon Lords to their preparations. Rimuru exhaled deeply, his determination hardening. The battle against Artemis was coming, and failure was not an option.
