Chapter 177: Chapter 177: The Nirvana Qi Reservoir
Chapter 177: The Nirvana Qi Reservoir
Practicing the "Art of Spirit Sealing" had taken Lin Langtian several days, but finally, on the fourth day, he awoke from his cultivation. As he opened his eyes and looked down at his hands, he felt an unusual lightness, as though something within him had broken free.
It was as if some invisible chain or barrier had shattered, and the flow of Nirvana Qi in his surroundings now seemed to surge toward him uncontrollably. His body felt stronger, as if it were being rapidly fortified.
Realizing the change, Lin Langtian closed his eyes and summoned the Devouring Ancestral Symbol.
The moment the symbol appeared, the Nirvana Qi in the area began to tremble as though boiling. Although he hadn't yet activated it, streams of devouring power naturally flowed out, consuming all the surrounding Nirvana Qi.
In the next moment, Lin Langtian formed a seal with his hands, and the power of the Devouring Ancestral Symbol surged. As it grew, beams of Nirvana Qi shot toward him, forming thick, crimson threads that he swallowed effortlessly.
The absorbed Nirvana Qi rushed to his dantian, swirling there to form a vortex, spinning faster and faster. When it reached its peak, Lin Langtian felt a tiny point of energy appear in the center of the vortex—a Nirvana Qi point. This point was like a mysterious space, vast yet contained.
As more Nirvana Qi was drawn into it, the Nirvana Qi point began to evolve, transforming into a small "reservoir" for energy. This new space would allow him to store Nirvana Qi, slowly amassing power within his dantian.
With this reservoir, even though he had not reached the Nirvana Realm, the Nirvana Qi he absorbed would no longer dissipate after fortifying his body, as it had in the past.
The fiery energy inside grew thicker and denser until finally, a crimson glow appeared, coating the entire reservoir in red.
"A Nirvana Qi Reservoir…" Lin Langtian murmured with satisfaction as he saw the Qi reservoir solidify.
While Nirvana Qi was powerful and mystical, absorbing it easily was no small feat. Even half-step Nirvana practitioners had to proceed cautiously, as taking in too much could lead to catastrophic consequences. Now, however, with the reservoir he had created using the Art of Spirit Sealing, his body could safely store Nirvana Qi and all sorts of heavenly energies without limitation.
The Art of Spirit Sealing was truly a marvel. As long as he continued nurturing his Qi reservoir, he could unleash immense power and potentially leap through multiple stages in a single breakthrough.
This method did come with drawbacks, though, requiring a long cultivation period and significant strength to guard himself against any danger that could arise. Without that, he risked losing his progress—or worse, his life. Only those with exceptional will and ambition could persevere with it, avoiding setbacks that could lead to ruin.
But Lin Langtian didn't mind this limitation. He didn't plan to indefinitely suppress his cultivation to nurture the reservoir, merely to build up some reserves before the opening of the Ancient Key.
With these thoughts, Lin Langtian rose and left the chamber, satisfied.
Seeing him emerge from his training room, the members of the Flame Alliance visibly relaxed. With Lin Langtian at their head, the alliance maintained a powerful sense of unity and purpose.
"Any updates?" he asked, stretching a bit. He smiled and playfully tussled with the pet beast, Golden Crow, as it leaped toward him.
"Since news of the Sacred Light Dynasty's fall spread, the Flame Alliance has secured a solid foothold here in Sun City. So, nothing unexpected has happened," Mo Ling replied, grinning. "Mo Tie did stop by once, but when he found out you were still training, he left."
After reporting the recent events, Mo Ling looked at Lin Langtian. "What's our next move?"
"We'll join the other factions tomorrow to enter Thunder Rock Valley. With its many fierce beasts, we'll need the additional manpower. Going in alone would lead to heavy casualties." Lin Langtian's tone was decisive, and everyone nodded in agreement.
The next day, the first rays of dawn broke over the vast city, sparking a flurry of activity. The sky was filled with a cacophony of movement as figures darted from every direction, their eyes bright with anticipation. The allure of Thunder Rock Valley's treasures had set every heart ablaze.
The Flame Alliance had already made preparations. After a final check, they left Sun City, and as they descended from the city wall, they found the city's exterior packed with people.
Fortunately, the Flame Alliance had made quite a name for itself recently. As Lin Langtian and his group arrived, people cleared a path, showing respect and avoiding any provocation.
"Langtian, finally done with your training!" A loud laugh rang out from behind them. Lin Langtian turned to see Mo Tie leading a group onto the wide city wall. His faction had nearly a hundred members, giving them an impressive presence.
Lin Langtian noticed, with a tinge of surprise, that Mo Tie had brought along two other half-step Nirvana experts, making their group notably strong. In comparison, the Flame Alliance looked relatively modest, with fewer high-level practitioners. Their only visible half-step Nirvana expert was Lin Langtian himself.
Unfazed by the apparent contrast, Lin Langtian observed Mo Tie's group calmly. With a slight smile, he asked, "Brother Mo Tie, who might your new companions be?"
