Chapter 31
Chapter 31: Su Chen is Unjustly Reprimanded:
As the fourth period of the first day of school was about to end, the class teacher, who was also the Chinese teacher for this lesson, Yin Renjie, glanced in Su Chen’s direction.
“Su Chen, come to my office after class.”
After saying this, Yin Renjie picked up his lesson plan and dismissed the class before walking straight out of the classroom toward his office. He didn’t even check whether Su Chen was following him—there was no need. He was certain Su Chen would come, just as he always did.
The other students in the class weren’t surprised by this scene. Su Chen had long been a regular visitor to Teacher Yin’s office.
Su Chen looked at Yin Renjie walking out of the classroom, then swept his gaze across his classmates. Their expressions were indifferent, and among them, Su Mu wore a face of feigned concern, though his eyes were filled with malice.
Su Chen knew that his first battle in this school was about to begin.
In his past life, Yin Renjie used to pull this trick often—calling him to the office alone after class, especially at noon when other teachers were also present in the office, resting.
If it were after school in the evening, the other teachers would have already left, and there would be no audience for Yin Renjie’s so-called “strict discipline.” That wouldn’t serve his purpose.
Su Chen stood up and followed Yin Renjie toward his office.
Before long, he arrived at the teacher’s office and stood in front of Yin Renjie’s desk.
The other teachers in the office, who were either eating or resting, exchanged glances as they saw Su Chen enter.
After all, if a student was notorious enough to be frequently summoned by the class teacher for a midday scolding, they didn’t even need to know his name to remember his face.
And to them, Su Chen was exactly that kind of troublemaker.
“Su Chen, look at your homework!”
“Your handwriting is sloppy, and there are so many mistakes!”
“Do you even want to study? Do you still plan to take the college entrance exam?”
“Your attitude is terrible!”
“With this attitude, how do you expect to learn anything?”
Yin Renjie raised his voice as he scolded Su Chen, making sure the other teachers could hear him.
After all, he was sacrificing his lunch break to educate an unruly student.
Who wouldn’t praise him for being a dedicated and responsible teacher?
But in truth, Yin Renjie was deliberately picking on Su Chen.
Su Chen had always been diligent in his studies and had never shown any signs of poor attitude.
Yin Renjie was doing this for one reason—to curry favor with Su Mu.
His daughter was about to graduate from university, and his greatest wish was for her to secure a position at the company owned by Hai City’s richest family—the Su family. It was a prestigious job with a high salary.
He was well aware that both Su Chen and Su Mu were members of the Su family.
The difference was that Su Mu was adored by the Su family, while Su Chen was ignored.
More importantly, although Su Mu appeared to be friendly toward Su Chen on the surface, he actually despised him.
After all, his group of friends frequently insulted Su Chen at school. It was impossible to believe that Su Mu had nothing to do with it.
So, a year ago, Yin Renjie began suppressing Su Chen, scolding him whenever he had the chance—and even creating opportunities when none existed.
Sure enough, Su Mu’s attitude toward him had since become warmer and more amiable.
This only confirmed to Yin Renjie that he had made the right choice.
Moreover, reprimanding Su Chen made him look good in front of other teachers. He appeared responsible, willing to forgo his lunch break to educate an unruly student.
This was beneficial for his future career.
With that thought, Yin Renjie became even more enthusiastic.
“Su Chen, why can’t you learn from Su Mu?”
“You’re both children of the Su family.”
“But look at Su Mu—he has excellent character, outstanding academic performance, and helps his classmates.”
“And you, Su Chen?”
“You’re not only bad at studying, but you also can’t get along with your classmates! Your attitude is terrible!”
“You’re also a Su family member—don’t you feel ashamed of yourself?”
Yin Renjie was speaking with such vigor that saliva flew from his mouth.
As his emotions surged, he even reached out and pushed Su Chen.
This was the perfect opportunity!
Su Chen immediately let himself fall in the direction of Yin Renjie’s push.
A moment later, the teachers in the office saw something shocking—
Yin Renjie’s hand was still extended in a pushing gesture.
And the student who had just been standing in front of his desk was now lying on the floor.
Not only that, but Su Chen was twitching slightly on the ground, his mouth foaming.
Yin Renjie stared in shock at Su Chen, then at his own hand.
He hadn’t even pushed that hard!
He had pushed Su Chen like this many times before, and Su Chen had never fallen.
Why was he so weak today?!
The other teachers were stunned for a moment before they quickly gathered around Su Chen.
“Student, are you okay?!”
“Wake up! Can you hear me?!”
At the same time, they began reprimanding Yin Renjie.
“Teacher Yin, we know you mean well and want to guide your students.”
“But you need to use a gentle approach!”
“How could you push a student?!”
“Look at what you’ve done!”
However, none of the teachers believed that Yin Renjie had intentionally hurt Su Chen.
After all, they had all witnessed how much effort Yin Renjie put into this student.
They simply thought he had been too emotional—he was just a teacher who couldn’t bear to see a promising student go astray.
So, their rebuke was more of a formality than true condemnation.
Su Chen knew that his fall wouldn’t really cause much trouble for Yin Renjie.
Besides, when the school doctor arrived, they would quickly see that he wasn’t actually hurt.
He slowly opened his eyes and softly said to the teacher holding him up,
“Teacher, I think I just have low blood sugar.”
“If I sit down and rest for a while, I’ll be fine.”
Hearing this, the teachers breathed a sigh of relief.
One of them pulled Yin Renjie aside and moved his chair out. The others helped Su Chen sit down—right in Yin Renjie’s chair.
Yin Renjie, still shaken by what had happened, obediently stepped aside, watching in a daze as Su Chen took his seat.
Falling wasn’t Su Chen’s real goal.
Sitting in Yin Renjie’s chair was.
Because Su Chen knew that Yin Renjie wasn’t just a snob who mistreated certain students—especially him.
He was also a pervert.
Though he had never dared to act on his impulses, his lecherous nature was well known.
After all, the parents of Sunshine Noble School’s students were powerful figures.
And Yin Renjie didn’t have the guts to cross the line.
