You’re Supposed To Be The Villain, But You Effortlessly Win Over The Female Leads?

Chapter 33:

Chapter 33:

Jiang Jiandang’s carefully crafted image had completely crumbled.

Li Xin was stunned when she realized Jiang Jiandang was still speaking at this critical moment. She was equally speechless when Song Lin suggested divorce without Jiang having to repay 200,000 yuan. It seemed that her reputation as a mediator couldn’t be salvaged.

Forcing a smile, Li Xin said, “Since you’ve both made your decision, it seems this heartfelt confession is a failure. Our program team deeply regrets this outcome. We hope Mr. Jiang and Ms. Song can still find happiness after the divorce. Take care of yourselves. This was your choice, and now our program today—”

“Wait a moment.”

“???”

“I have something to say.”

Jiang Feng interrupted her.

All eyes turned to Jiang Feng. Li Xin met his gaze, and her heart skipped a beat as she looked into his deep, dark eyes.

“Our show is about to end. Is there anything I can’t say?” Jiang Feng asked.

“You cannot,” Li Xin replied, her voice faltering.

Jiang Feng smirked at her anxious expression. “Why are you panicking, Host? Or are you feeling guilty? Maybe it’s about the college student I mentioned earlier. Do you know what happened to that girl?”

Li Xin was visibly nervous.

Jiang Feng’s tone grew cold as his eyes burned with anger. “That girl was taken back to the mountains by her family, forced into a life of misery with no end in sight. Eventually, she was beaten to death by the very man you presented as a hero on this show. Her son couldn’t even report it to the police. This is your so-called ‘home and happiness.'”

The air in the room grew tense.

Jiang Feng continued, “You talk about family values while standing comfortably in your position. That girl was kidnapped, sold, and had her life ruined. When she finally escaped, you dragged her back into the nightmare with your twisted sense of morality. If it weren’t for you, she could have found a way to live again, to see the sunlight again.”

Sweat beaded on Li Xin’s forehead as the director’s voice yelled through her earpiece, “Wrap it up, don’t let him keep talking!”

But chaos had already descended. The giant screen on stage, for some unknown reason, started playing a video of the girl’s parents.

In the footage, the parents were red-eyed and gaunt, their faces etched with sorrow and fury. “That show! That host! If my daughter hadn’t gone on that show, if she hadn’t been tricked by their crew, she would have returned to us! She was beaten to death, and we were silenced. They intimidated us, told us to stay quiet!”

The video displayed evidence, showing that the program team had indeed communicated with the parents. These pieces of evidence were also made into video clips and shown on the screen.

Jiang Feng spoke again, his voice icy. “This is just one case. There are countless others who were pressured into forgiving, only to suffer for it. You stand on the moral high ground, forcing people to forgive, branding those who don’t as cruel or selfish. But have you ever considered, why do you get to make decisions for others? Why do you control their lives? If I hadn’t shown this evidence today, would you also have pressured my mother to forgive him? Your show team is an accomplice! You knew the danger ahead and still pushed people into it.”

The weight of his words hung in the air.

Li Xin and the program team had no response. The studio was silent as Jiang Feng’s accusations reverberated.

The director’s team looked at the comments pouring in online. Despair settled in. It was over. They hadn’t cut the signal in time. Jiang Feng had exposed everything, and now, they were surely going to face an investigation.

And as if to confirm that, several police officers in uniform suddenly arrived on set.

“Excuse me, please come with us. We’ve received a report from Jiang Feng that members of your program were accomplices in the death of Zhang Lili, a victim of domestic violence six months ago. You’ll need to cooperate with our investigation.”

The room erupted in shock.

Every news outlet focused on the scene. The host and the program team were escorted away by police on live television.

This explosive news sent the livestream into overdrive as viewers flooded in by the thousands, eager to witness the unfolding scandal.
