Chapter 8: Chapter 8 - Kirabo

" I feel empty, it seems you have affected my entire being more than you think Kedu Okonjo. Oh well, What's done is done. " Patting his back, Corruptor stood up.

Transforming into an eagle, taking off to the sky. Relishing the moment, only to see the beautiful Wakanda as a whole. For the past few days, all he had in mind was to take revenge and now, fulfilling his wish makes him empty.

After all that had happened, he finally had the chance to see the true beauty of Wakanda.

Even if given another chance, he would still do it. For him, being abandoned is worse than getting hurt by a gunshot.

He doesn't know why but from the beginning, he already had the fear of being abandoned.

That is why after Kedu Okonjo abandoned him. He makes it up by making the apes his subordinate.

Sadly, it doesn't have the same charm with bonding with Kedu Okonjo who is most compatible with him.

But, after Kedu Okonjo died, something inside him snapped.

Like a broken dam, he became more clear-minded and free. His fear of abandonment had already vanished after the death of Kedu Okonjo.

Thus, without a second thought, Corruptor is finally free to travel anywhere without fear. Like a free bird roaming the sky.

While flying, Corruptor realized one thing. He doesn't know the location of America at all. Leaving him to wander aimlessly.

"I can't go back, I have already flown quite a few miles away from Wakanda. That's dumb of me. Oh well, I could use this to travel around the world." Without thinking much, Corruptor continues his journey.

From time to time, he would go down and rest. His pace of travel is quite slow, leisurely taking time to appreciate the beauty of every place he has gone by.

From the fragments of his memories, he only knew that he came from the Philippines and his name was Carl, other than that no significant knowledge about geography.

He didn't even think of occupying more humans to acquire some knowledge about the place. Thinking of it, most Wakandans are in Wakanda and haven't left for most of the entire time of their life.

Only a selected few could leave and they are the royal family. So, it would be useless to bond with them.

Thus, he is thankful enough to have a means of traveling. Flying and feeling the wind blowing his face as he slices through the air.

For most of his entire flight, only thirty minutes is his rest time on land before taking off. He didn't even bother getting some new DNA as he had already had a lot in his inventory.

Being in Wakanda means most of them are mutated because of the vibranium, which he learned from the past few days of his stay there.

Even the Silverback Gorilla has been mutated by the vibranium and has a certain level of intelligence where it can communicate with Corruptor via broken language.

Only by teaching them did they learn to speak, making him certain that they had evolved into a better version.

He speculated that it is also the reason why most of his entries are in Green entry, whereas only a selected few are in white.

Meaning, that some animals haven't had a chance to evolve or haven't grown to their fullest potential yet.

With different types of animal DNA in his inventory consisting of Wakandan animals, Corruptor is guaranteed to acquire at least quite a lot of green grades and some blue grades.

It has been hours since he had defeated Kedu Okonjo and has traveled for hundreds of miles. Corruptor decided to stop at the village for the night only to see the village burned down.

Corruptor frowned at this, as he headed straight towards the village at a fast-breaking speed only to see women, children, and elderly who were incapable of fighting flee from the ongoing battle.

Wherein, young men and young women who were capable of fighting, took the battle head-on as they tried to fight back.

But, the enemies are numerous, overwhelming the villagers who only had a limited supply of guns and bullets.

Seeing this, Corruptor hovered above the sky, trying to assess the situation and whether he should help or not. When suddenly, he saw a young African kid around the age of 6, malnourished and weak, bleeding profusely as his heartbeat was slowly beating.

Signifying the significant blood loss he took, his eyes blurry as he looked at the sky weakly. He saw an eagle, hovering and coldly looking at the ground while here he was, lying and dying.

He can't accept his fate, from a young age he was already an orphan and everything he ate came from the leftovers of the villagers while some kind-hearted would offer him some hot potato for him to eat.

Enough to warm his body and alleviate his hunger. Unfortunately, war happened and part of Africa has been invaded by foreigners who relished in murders, robberies, rapes, and other crimes.

Wherein, those people who don't, tried to stop are only met with disdain by their companions.

Even their supervisors are evil to the core. War breeds strong people but war also breeds evil beings, villains, and broken heroes.

Now, he saw the dark side of humanity where the ones he knew were kind-hearted showed their true self while those he knew as evil showed some humanity.

A twisted thing of reality and only through this war did he see the truth and lies.

"I... Want... To... Live!" He muttered weakly, his eyes burning, his will to survive ignited as he tried to stand up despite the wound inflicted, pain assaulted his very being like electricity coursing through his body.

But, fate is cruel, even with his will to survive, his body can't handle it at all. Thus, he fell again and again as he tried to stand up.

Before he knew it, he didn't have any strength to stand again and could only helplessly look to the sky.

As he slowly closed his eyes, the eagle that had been flying in a circle had descended near him, looking at him with keen intelligence and pity.

Like magic, the eagle he saw suddenly transformed into a humanoid monster with its five tentacles sprouting from its back, its nails sharper than any knives he saw, and its menacing rows of teeth showing.

He could only helplessly look at the humanoid monster in front of him as he felt his mind slowly drifting away.

His heartbeat beating slower and slower.

Before he could die, the humanoid monster in front of him spoke something familiar but unfamiliar language. Sadly, he is close to dying and can't properly hear as he finally closes his eyes.

But before he closed his eyes, he saw it. The humanoid monster suddenly transformed and entered his body.

And then, he felt it, his body regained its vigor and he became stronger than ever. His mind was clearer and he could feel his wound closing at a rapid pace.

He stood upright as he patted his body, checking only to see and feel that there were no wounds and he felt strength coursing through his body.

A new type of feeling since he was a kid.

Before he could make the miraculous recovery in his mind, he suddenly felt a glooming danger lurking inside his body as he felt his mind going crazy.

Filling it with murder, revenge, and kill. Clutching his head, saliva was dripping from his mouth as he gasped for air.

"What is happening?" He questioned, confused of himself as he saw that his body was transforming.

An outer black membrane appeared, supporting his body like armor while purple veins could be seen from his arms. Suddenly, a voice sounded inside him, as if it was the devil's call.

"Kirabo, born in 1936. Age 6, orphan since birth."

"Quite an unfortunate boy, you are quite lucky as you are the second person I have bonded with. With a strong will to survive, I have to say, is commendable and praiseworthy." Corruptor said slowly, like a devil whisper talking to Kirabo, the young boy who's on the verge of death only to be saved by something more worse and sinister.

"Who are you?" Feeling fearful but staying calm, Corruptor nodded in silence, admiring his courage. A boy born from war is truly unique and has a strong will.

Being reborn from the verge of death makes him one of a kind. Now, he has been granted that, and both fortunately and unfortunately, he bonded with Corruptor.

Who had become free from the fear of abandonment. Making him the most free person on earth to ever walk and that means, he is unpredictable in what he does.

Now, Kirabo had become someone who had contact with this devilish and also angelic person depending on his mood.

"Me? I am Corruptor and you, you are my new puppet. This body of yours is your payment for being given a second chance to live.

You don't have to worry as I have the strength to give you power and become stronger than you were before. You should have felt it when I entered and healed your body" Corruptor grinned maliciously, as he appeared from the palm of Kirabo.

"I see, I am thankful for that. But, I have to take my revenge on those people who have invaded my village. While I don't have good memories here, I still need to protect it as I have lived here my whole life" Kirabo stated calmly, making Corruptor once again praise silently.

"It seems you have accepted your fate... Why?" Corruptor questions, intrigued by what his answer will be.

"I owe you my life and you have given me a chance to live once again. If you wanted my body, I will give it to you" Kirabo said, for him, being used is what he was used to when he was alive and now, it is no different.

The only difference would be he also benefited from Corruptor for increasing his strength which he felt.

"That's quite a good mindset you have there. I must say it is quite commendable and as a reward of being praised by me, I shall let you see a tiny bit of my capabilities"

Before Kirabo could ask, his body was suddenly covered whole and he couldn't control it anymore as he saw his vision blur from the fast speed of Corruptor.

Before long, a curdling scream resounded in the vicinity as a whiplike arm longated and gripped one of the invaders before squashing it into pieces, and then, the whiplike arm swept through the crowd throwing them off and breaking quite a few bones in the process.

A sensational scream can be heard, it is so scary as if it comes from the depths of hell. For Kirabo, hearing such screams makes his heart flutter and beats fast.

Confused, he didn't feel disgusted instead, felt excited and happy. Before long, Kirabo watched the whole process of Corruptor using his body to slaughter and bulldoze the invading enemies while a sense of craziness welled inside of him, grinning at the sight of people getting sliced in half, and smashed to pieces by massive arms.
