After The Apocalypse, I Was Transmigrated Into a Cultivation World

Chapter 39: Narrow escape

The distant sound of thunderclap caused the balance of the world to rip and come undone.

The Stormsea was being broken as both Condemnation and the Vile Thieving bird contended against each other with Mu Shen — the sole perpetrator, actually fleeing from the battlefield.

The Stormsea was unusually vast and condemnation controlled space beyond human logic that, it caused the distance to become much longer than usual.

If the Vile Thieving bird kills condemnation, it would definitely come in search of him. However, if he leaves Stormsea in time, the Vile Thieving bird could simply just disappear which is why his bet is that, condemnation wouldn't die so easily.

Most at times, Stormsea would shake and shudder and every creature that had been hidden would simply crawl out of its hiding place.

And then — They began to attack Mu Shen.

'Crap—'

He had considered this, however he never expected it to be so overwhelming.

He simply used his hands to crush weaker creatures, while avoiding the terrifying ones. Stormsea was a very cruel place and Mu Shen couldn't help but curse the Trial givers for putting the maps in a very dangerous space. Meaning that — life had to be risked in order to locate a part of this land.

At this moment, he remembered something. He was to go to three different locations and find nine eggs.

The chasm, the forest and the gorge.

The Stormsea is a different place entirely and this one is simply to find their map. What of the Chasm? What of the forest? What of the gorge?

Both the Chasm and the gorge are the same thing, they indicated the furious depth of something so sinister and insidious.

What will he find there?

There are many ways to die, but Mu Shen did not seek out for those ways. In fact, he wanted so much to be alive, he wanted to hold up the world in his own hands. He wanted to become the king — not a pawn in the game of chess where he would end up, beaten and battered or simply casted away as an irregular.

Mu Shen's eyes grew cold as the resolve to live took a strong grip on him then —

His hands clenched tight, then there was a snap and a deafening shriek.

Mu Shen had crushed the wind pipe of a lesser creature. That shriek had been harrowing and pain-filled, but it didn't matter.

He turned and another earth-shattering ripple spread causing the Stormsea to convulse as if its peace is being meddled or interfered with.

The winner of the battle should be decided soon but Mu Shen did not want to still remain within Stormsea when that happens. He immediately dashed forward, his hands cutting open the void forcefully but the void was clearly stubborn.

Sighing, the bone flute was another option and he grabbed it, activating the teleportation ability, he suddenly vanished and it was at that very moment that the Vile Thieving bird appeared along with the head of condemnation.

If Mu Shen had been here, he would have sneered at the already dead titan's head.

The Vile Thieving bird looked around, its will spreading across vast reaches but — Mu Shen was really gone.

"Too bad, I wanted to congratulate the lad. Oh well."

With that, the Vile Thieving bird dissolved into particles of blinding light.

Mu Shen however was already outside the entrance of Stormsea and he immediately walked away from it — very far, not daring to stay for too long.

If Mu Shen wasn't timed in this particular trial, he would have slept a very long and beautiful sleep. However, here at the moment, time is simply of the essence. He immediately brought the map and examined it.

The chasm lay five kilometers to the east, the Forest is just a few steps away and he had seen a lot of cultivators enter it.

The gorge however was — was further away, almost 800 kilometers to the North. Mu Shen immediately dashed towards the forest and that is where cultivators populates the more.
