Jack and Cynthia arrived at Professor Rowan's laboratory, a cozy building on the outskirts of Twinleaf Town.

Professor Rowan, a warm and wise man with a kind face, greeted them warmly. "Ah, Jack, Cynthia! What brings you here today?"

Cynthia explained Jack's strange connection to the Mew, and Professor Rowan listened intently.

When she finished, Professor Rowan nodded thoughtfully. "I think I know what might be going on, Jack."

"What is it, Professor?" Jack asked, his curiosity piqued.

Professor Rowan leaned forward. "You see, Jack, the Mew is not just any ordinary Pokémon. It's a genetic key, a Pokémon with the DNA of all other Pokémon."

Jack's eyes widened. "What does that mean?"

Professor Rowan smiled. "It means, Jack, that you might have a special connection to the Pokémon world, one that goes beyond just being a trainer."

Jack's mind reeled as he tried to process the Professor's words.

But before he could ask any questions, a loud explosion rocked the laboratory, sending everyone flying.

As Jack struggled to get to his feet, he saw a figure standing in the doorway, a figure he recognized.

It was Dr. Maria's assistant, the mysterious woman with a hidden agenda.

And she was holding a strange device that seemed to be emitting a powerful energy signal...

"What do you want?" Jack demanded, trying to keep his voice steady.

The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with malice. "I want you, Jack. And your connection to the Mew."

And with that, she activated the device, sending Jack flying across the room...
