Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The Secret Facility
As they made their way deeper into the facility, Jack and Cynthia encountered several security measures, including locked doors and surveillance cameras.
Cynthia, being the skilled trainer she was, used her Pokémon to disable the cameras and pick the locks.
Finally, they reached a large metal door with a sign that read:
"Authorized Personnel Only: Project Mew"
Jack's heart skipped a beat. Project Mew? What could that be?
Cynthia looked at him nervously. "Are you ready for this, Jack?"
Jack nodded, and Cynthia opened the door.
Inside, they found a large laboratory filled with various machines and equipment. In the center of the room, a large glass container held a mysterious, glowing egg.
Suddenly, a voice spoke from the shadows. "Welcome, Jack. I've been expecting you."
Jack spun around, trying to locate the source of the voice.
A figure emerged from the darkness, dressed in a white lab coat.
"Who are you?" Jack demanded.
The scientist smiled. "I am Dr. Maria, the lead researcher on Project Mew."
Cynthia stepped forward. "What is Project Mew?"
Dr. Maria's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Project Mew is a revolutionary experiment to create the ultimate Pokémon."
Jack's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
Dr. Maria gestured to the glowing egg. "This egg contains a Mew, genetically engineered to possess the DNA of all Pokémon."
Cynthia gasped. "That's impossible!"
Dr. Maria smiled. "Impossible is just a word, my dear. And with this Mew, we will unlock the secrets of the Pokémon universe."
Jack felt a chill run down his spine. What did Dr. Maria plan to do with this powerful Mew?
And what did it have to do with his parents' disappearance?
