Extra's Perfect Ending

"Are you sure?" Onia asks with an uncertain voice. She looks back at the group of priests who are questioning the two people. "About what?" "Them," She pointed back at the two people that was stopped by the church. "About 60% sure that they were a heretic, at least one of them," Brent revealed with a mysterious smile, Onia couldn't help but sigh, he was not gonna tell her how she got that from trialing the people for two minutes. On their way to steal the bloodline sapphire from the church, Onia spots a familiar figure. And a blonde short-haired girl that sells her the burger. And she remembers the weird reaction from the girl when seeing Onia. So she suggested following them when they were also going to the church. That's when Brent said that one of them was a Heretic. Two people, the blonde girl, and her black hair maid. From the information she got when traveling to Tumidus, they were the owner of a new food store called Burger. Look like their rise wasn't purely their skill. Onia didn't trust that information but as she said before, Brent sometimes looks like he know the future. "Then are the priests going to capture them?" Brent looks up and thinks a bit before he answers. "Depend, if they answer the priest without sussing themself, they would live." "Sussing?" "Supicous." Brent said while they were running to the church. They need to hurry since it seems like the church is sending out a search party to find someone, and that's when they would be the most defenseless. After a bit of time, they finally arrive at the church. And it's clear as day that it's not in the best state. Usually, there would be at least two priests guarding the stairs. "There's no priest? Did a demon attack or something?" Onia voiced her concern, that if there was a demon attack, they would be risking their lives by being near the church. "If there was an attack, the priest would not be searching for someone. Secondly, this place looks too clean for a demon attack, remember the banshee that we deal with? The whole house was cursed." Onia has to agree, just before leaving for Tumidus a "Special assignment" came from the royal family about a haunted house that lured in people. Oni and the party go and investigate with a priest tagging along and sure enough it was a demon. Albeit a lesser one with weak belief and not a lot of things to draw mystic force from. But just from that alone, the house that the demon resided in was turned into demon territory. Where it has an advantage in fighting, it took them about 3 hours to take it down. "Then what Is it?" "Theif" Brent could only come up with this conclusion. "Theif?" Onia said in a mocking tone "Who would be dumb enough to do that?" Brent gazes at Onia without saying a word. "Anyways they already opened a way for us, while they escape we ought to take the bloodline sapphire." Brent lead the way down the stairs. Deep down the way has been lit by a wall candle. Both of them quietly descend the stairs. Until they read a door, it was an old wooden door in less than stellar condition. Moreover, the most suspicious thing about this is that it was already open. The blond-haired guy holds his hand up to prevent Onia from going first. He then peeks through the opening to find that the whole corridor is in ruins. He surveyed the place with his eyes and judged that it was safe enough. He and Onia enter the corridor. "What psycho destroyed church property? Do they not fear god?" "Properly a Heretic" Brent looks around to confirm that there are no people here. "We split up and search, the priest seems to all be out trying to catch the heretic." "Sure" Onia answered. She starts going through the rooms one by one starting from the closest room. Brent also goes and checks the room. "Did you find anything?!" Onia asks from the room across his, they have been searching for five rooms now. All they could found is a normal room and a wardrobe full of white robe. "Quiet" Brent put his index finger on his mouth "I got nothing here too. Is there a method to find the item? At this rate, we would take forever." "I don't know, does the sapphire need to be in a special condition? Like needing a specific container or something to keep it effective?" "Nothing I could remember..." Brent couldn't help but sigh, they just needed to check every room that is down here... This would be impossible, not because Brent isn't willing to do it but because he might run out of time. A priest could be returning to the church any minute now and all the blame of property destruction would fall upon them not the real culprit. He, of course, doesn't want that. "Ughh, we are not gonna find this fricking sapphire" Onia interrupted his thought with a frustration of her own. "The door also wasn't broken beyond that one, which means we have to break in on our own." Onia pointed to the door they were about to check. It was still in mint condition compared to the broken door "Wait..." Brent realized something, the thief must have come across the same problem, there's no way that the thief would sneak in to find a menial time which means that he found a way to go straight for the treasure. Thinking to this point, he looked down the hallway and sure enough, there was only one door that was broken down. "That door has been broken down." Brent walks over to the door followed by Onia. They arrived at the room and could see why it had broken down. It was the Head priest of Tumidus's room, Father Theodore's room. "I think it's here" Onia said "No shit, Sherlock" "What?" "Nothing."
