Chapter 72: Chapter 70: Pygmy Puffs... King's Cross Station...
Minerva's eyes narrowed in curiosity as she observed the tiny puffball in Delphini's hands.
She had seen Puffskeins before—they were commonplace in the wizarding world. In fact, it was rare to find a wizarding home without at least one or two.
They were low-maintenance creatures, often used to clean up trash, including waste from toilets.
Puffskeins could eat anything, making them easy to breed.
However, their most peculiar trait was their unnaturally long tongue, which they used to sneakily eat their owners' boogers while they slept.
Though some wizards kept them as pets, most saw them as nothing more than living garbage disposals.
Previously, Minerva and Filius had been too engrossed in conversation with Leo to explore the pet shop.
But now, standing before Delphini's pink Puffskein, they noticed something odd.
It was far smaller than a normal Puffskein—barely the size of a palm—and lacked the long tongue characteristic of its species.
Filius furrowed his brows. Minerva, still examining the creature, turned to Leo.
"Leo... is this a new breed? I've never seen a Puffskein this small and cute before."
Leo's smile widened at her words.
This was it—a business opportunity.
As if sensing the attention, the tiny Puffskein bounced excitedly in Delphini's hands, letting out a soft, joyful squeak.
The young witch beamed, her eyes sparkling with delight as she played with her new pet.
"You've got a good eye, Minerva,"
Leo said, his voice carrying a hint of pride.
"Yes, this is a new breed—one of our store's special creations."
Leo took a moment before continuing, enjoying the captivated expressions on both professors' faces.
"This breed is called the Pygmy Puff,"
he explained.
"It's perfect for young witches and wizards who want a cute, playful pet. Unlike the ordinary Puffskein, which is larger and covered in dusty brown fur, Pygmy Puffs come in a variety of colors."
Minerva's brows raised in intrigue, while Filius adjusted his glasses, nodding in fascination.
"They don't have the long tongue of their larger cousins,"
Leo added.
"And unlike regular Puffskeins that eat anything, Pygmy Puffs are strictly vegetarians."
Filius' eyes glittered with excitement as he considered the market potential of this new pet.
"Mr. Morningstar... I believe this creation of yours will be a huge success—especially among young witches,"
Filius said with genuine admiration.
Leo's grin widened.
Unable to resist, both Filius and Minerva bought one for themselves.
Filius chose a purple Pygmy Puff, while Minerva, after some thought, selected a red one.
The satisfaction on their faces was undeniable.
With their shopping complete, Minerva and Filius led Delphini and her parents toward their next destination—Ollivanders, to buy the young witch her first wand.
After Minerva, Filius, and Delphini's family left, the shop grew quiet.
Eileen, noticing the time, headed downstairs to prepare for opening.
As soon as the doors opened, customers began to trickle in.
Many regulars immediately noticed the new staircase and the sign that read: Pet Section
Curious, some took the stairs up to investigate.
Though the selection of pets was still limited, customers were impressed by the atmosphere.
Some even purchased Pygmy Puffs, saying their children would love them.
As the day went on, word of mouth spread through Diagon Alley—
A new breed of Puffskeins was being sold at Cauldron & Charm Apothecary.
Soon, the shop's traffic increased, rivaling the crowds from its grand opening day.
With more wizards and witches visiting, the pet section's sales skyrocketed.
Leo hadn't expected such overwhelming demand, especially for Pygmy Puffs, cats, and owls.
Realizing he needed extra hands, he sent Kejoro downstairs to assist Eileen, while Hagoromo Kitsune stayed to help him in the pet section.
Morningstar Mansion...
September 1st...
The first day of September had arrived—marking the start of the new school year at Hogwarts.
At the Morningstar Mansion, Leo sat at the breakfast table, enjoying a meal prepared by Wakana.
Despite the delicious food, the mood in the room felt a little heavy.
'Should I hire workers for the shop? I can't always rely on the girls to manage it…'
Leo pondered the future of his shop, especially since he would be leaving for Hogwarts.
Mavis and Setsura had expressed their desire to travel the world, something Leo had readily supported.
With their departure imminent, he needed a long-term solution.
Then, suddenly, a thought struck him—
"Wait… I have a summoning ticket, right?"
Without hesitation, Leo issued a command to his system:
"System, use the Mr. Mime summoning ticket."
[ Ding… ]
[ Host, tear the ticket… ]
Immediately, a golden ticket appeared in his hand, marked with an engraving of Mr. Mime's face.
With a swift motion, Leo tore the ticket—
The golden fragments dissolved into shimmering dust, swirling through the air before condensing into a humanoid shape.
Within moments, Mr. Mime had fully materialized in front of them.
The girls, who had been enjoying their breakfast, paused mid-bite, their eyes widening at the unexpected summoning.
Even Mr. Mime himself looked around in confusion, scratching his head as if trying to understand what had just happened.
"Mr. Mime?"
and he cautiously examined his surroundings.
Seeing his confusion, Leo stepped forward and broke the silence—
"Mr. Mime, I am your Pokémon Trainer—Leo."
Mr. Mime's eyes lit up in understanding.
He snapped to attention, standing straight and saluting Leo, signifying that he had accepted him as his trainer.
"Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime!" {"Thank you for taking me under your wing, Master Trainer!"}
With an excited expression, Mr. Mime began performing a series of mimicry gestures, expressing his happiness.
Seeing Mr. Mime in real life instead of just on Leo's anime collection fascinated the girls.
Their eyes sparkled with pure excitement.
"Leo! Leo!"
Mavis suddenly grabbed his hand, her voice filled with anticipation.
"If you get an Eevee as a reward next time… you have to give it to me!"
Hearing that, Kejoro immediately protested, shaking her head.
"No way! Pikachu is the best!"
Fufu~
"Well… I prefer Ninetales."
Hagoromo Kitsune chuckled, expressing her choice with an elegant smile.
One by one, each girl declared their favorite Pokémon, sparking a lighthearted debate.
Leo, however, couldn't miss the genuine desire in their eyes.
"Alright, alright—I promise that if I ever get my hands on those Pokémon in the future, I'll give them to you guys."
He raised his hands in surrender, sealing the deal with a smile.
The girls cheered, satisfied with his answer.
Turning back to Mr. Mime, Leo gave him his first assignment—
"Since I'll be away at Hogwarts, I need you to help manage the shop."
Mr. Mime nodded enthusiastically, giving Leo a thumbs-up in response.
"Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime!" {"Leave it to me, Master!"}
Seeing his confidence, Leo felt relieved—at least for now, the shop was in good hands.
London…
King's Cross Station…
Outside King's Cross Station, near a quiet alley where passersby were too busy to notice, something unusual occurred.
Without a sound, a swarm of bats suddenly materialized, swirling together in a seamless transformation—revealing Leo Morningstar.
Dressed in an elegant black slim-fit suit, he held a suitcase in one hand and calmly stepped out of the alley, making his way toward the bustling station.
Upon entering, Leo was immediately greeted by the sight of numerous wizards—parents guiding their excited children, all pushing trolleys stacked with luggage and caged owls.
On the other side of the station, a team of Aurors kept a watchful eye, scanning the area like hawks, ensuring that no curious Muggles paid too much attention to Platform 9¾.
If they did, a quick Memory Charm would take care of it.
As Leo moved toward the hidden platform, his gaze unexpectedly landed on a familiar family.
It was the Evans family—the same people he had met at the Cokeworth children's park.
"Mr. Evans…"
Hearing his name, Jack Evans turned toward the voice.
The moment he recognized Leo, his face broke into a relieved smile.
"Mr. Morningstar! Thank God we ran into you!"
Jack immediately walked over, looking as though a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
Leo's eyes flickered toward Petunia Evans, who was standing beside a cart filled with luggage. A caged owl perched on top, confirming his realization.
"Oh… I almost forgot—your elder daughter has turned eleven and is heading to Hogwarts this year."
Petunia fidgeted slightly, her hands gripping the trolley handle as her younger sister, Lily, stood close by.
Jack sighed and nodded.
"Yes, but we've been searching for this Platform 9¾ for ages… and we only have ten minutes left! Do you know where it is?"
His wife, Camellia Evans, checked her wristwatch, her worry evident.
Leo offered a reassuring smile before gesturing toward a pillar between Platforms 9 and 10.
"See that second pillar over there? You need to pass through the wall to enter Platform 9¾."
Just as he finished speaking, the Evans family watched in shock as a wizarding family hurried toward the pillar—only to vanish through the wall, leaving behind a slight ripple in the air.
Jack's eyes widened.
"Are you serious? What if Petunia can't pass through? That looks dangerous!"
"Yeah, it does seem risky…"
Camellia added, ruffling Petunia's hair, which made Lily pout in annoyance.
Leo let out a chuckle at their reaction.
"Don't worry, Mr. and Mrs. Evans. It's completely safe for witches and wizards. Muggles, however, can't pass through on their own. But as long as you're holding onto a witch or wizard, you'll be able to enter without any problem."
The couple exchanged glances, their worry easing slightly.
Leo continued, reassuring them further—
"And don't worry about getting back—Muggles can return through the wall just fine."
Just as he finished explaining, another wizarding family happily passed through the pillar, disappearing just like the last.
Jack took a deep breath, gripping Petunia's hand firmly.
"Alright… here goes nothing."
With a serious expression, he ran straight toward the solid brick wall—
At the last moment, his eyes squeezed shut in anticipation of impact—
But instead of crashing into the pillar, he effortlessly phased through, emerging on the other side at Platform 9¾.
Seconds later, Camellia followed, holding Lily's hand, and they too disappeared into the wizarding world beyond.
