Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Instant Kill! Currently The Strongest Group Attack Skills

Marsh stood still, a bit taken aback by the unexpected turn of events. The Mine Wolf King, seemingly on the brink of defeat, suddenly turned and fled into the mine tunnel, roaring as it went. Its roar echoed, and soon, the howls of other wolves followed, reverberating through the passage. Something didn't feel right.

Marsh's instincts told him that there was more to this than just a simple retreat. Instead of ordering his skeleton warriors to chase the wolf king, he called them back to his side, remaining vigilant.

Crunch! Crunch!

The sound of metal scraping against stone echoed as the massive iron doors on both sides of the passage suddenly creaked open. From behind them, bloodthirsty wolves poured out in a flood, their yellow eyes gleaming with menace.

Level: 14

Power: 600

Agility: 600

Spirit: 200

Physique: 1000

Skill: Bite

Marsh quickly activated his detection skill, instantly seeing the stats of the approaching wolves. While their attributes weren't impressive compared to his skeleton warriors, there were hundreds of them. Their sheer numbers made the atmosphere tense, as the pack charged forward with alarming speed.

Despite their numbers, Marsh wasn't afraid. He knew that his skeleton warriors, though few in number, were more than capable of handling these beasts. However, he did begin to wonder about how other teams would fare in this situation. Surely, a team of just five professionals wouldn't be able to handle so many wolves, even with their powerful abilities.

Looking around, he quickly deduced the challenge before him. The mine passage was narrow, with only enough space for one person to enter at a time. He realized that if a knight were to hold the entrance, a healer could tend to the team's wounds while the mage unleashed powerful group attack skills. With that strategy, it would take some time, but the wolves would eventually be wiped out.

Marsh wasn't the only one who would use this tactic. Other teams, he knew, would likely do the same. But there was something he didn't know—other teams typically didn't face this many wolves. Usually, there would only be a dozen or so. This was likely due to Marsh having cleared the passage of monsters before, unknowingly triggering this massive horde of wolves.

He didn't mind, though. Marsh had no problem with the extra challenge, as long as the experience was good. After all, he wasn't exactly facing any real danger. Since entering the dungeon, Marsh had barely broken a sweat. The overwhelming number of wolves was nothing more than an opportunity for more experience.

The skeleton warriors formed a protective circle around Marsh, as the first wave of Mine Wolves crashed into them. The wolves were relentless, snapping their jaws and slashing with sharp claws, but their attacks barely made a dent in the skeleton warriors' defenses. Their power wasn't strong enough to break through the warriors' solid physique.

Once the majority of the wolves had gathered, Marsh gave the order.

"Attack!"

In a flash, five skeleton warriors lunged at a single Mine Wolf, their swords flashing as they attacked in perfect synchrony.

Flesh flew, and in less than two seconds, the Mine Wolf crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

Marsh grinned, pleased with the efficiency of his warriors. At the same time, a strange, shimmering light appeared in his palm.

"Corpse Explosion!"

With a loud explosion, the body of the slain Mine Wolf detonated. The force was terrifying—10% of the wolf's total health was dealt as damage to all nearby enemies. The blast radius was initially one meter, but thanks to Marsh's talent, it was doubled to 20 meters. This meant that all nearby enemies would take 200% of the wolf's vitality in damage.

The result was devastating.

The notifications flooded the screen in rapid succession, and Marsh watched as his experience bar shot up from 32% to 72% in the blink of an eye. One single attack had granted him 40% of his needed experience. It was an astounding pace, and Marsh couldn't help but feel awestruck by the sheer power of his Corpse Explosion skill.

"This skill is absurdly strong," Marsh thought to himself, still in disbelief. The damage was terrifying, and while it could be compared to some of the more powerful mage spells, it was incredibly efficient at this level.

At that moment, the Mine Wolf King, having recovered from its earlier defeat, limped back into view, its eyes wide with fear. The sight of its fallen subordinates seemed to unnerve it, as it couldn't fathom what had just happened.

"Treat everyone equally—let's see how you fare."

Marsh's eyes grew cold, and he raised his hand again.

"Corpse Explosion!"

The next three explosions rang out in rapid succession, with each Mine Wolf corpse detonating in a violent burst. The sound of the blasts reverberated through the passage, and the Mine Wolf King howled in agony as the explosive damage tore into its massive body.

Blood and flesh splattered across the tunnel, and soon, there was little left of the mighty wolf king. Its enormous form collapsed, the once-proud creature reduced to a pile of bones and shredded remains.

The wolf king let out one final, pitiful cry before it fell to the ground, never to rise again.

[Kill level 15 Mine Wolf King, experience +15000]

[Obtain sharp teeth of the wolf king]

[Obtain low-level monster crystal nucleus]

Marsh looked at the notification with a raised eyebrow. "Only 15,000 experience?" he mused. "For such a powerful boss, the experience reward is rather underwhelming."

Indeed, the Mine Wolf King had been tough, but the experience yield was low in comparison to the difficulty it posed. It was equivalent to the experience from five regular Mine Wolves, which Marsh found quite disappointing.

However, when it came to boss-level monsters, the real prize wasn't the experience—it was the loot. The sharp teeth of the wolf king were valuable materials used to craft weapons, and the low-level monster crystal nucleus was sought after for its ability to enhance equipment or create jewelry. These items held significant worth in the market, making them a coveted prize for any adventurer.

Monster crystal nuclei were rare, only dropping from boss-level monsters, which made them incredibly valuable. Not every boss dropped one, so the fact that the Mine Wolf King had done so was a fortunate bonus.

Despite the low experience payout, Marsh couldn't help but feel pleased with the haul. For him, the real reward was the sheer power and versatility of his skeleton warriors and the devastating effectiveness of his Corpse Explosion skill. With these abilities, the dungeon was practically a playground.

As Marsh looked over the remains of the Mine Wolf King, he knew that his journey had only just begun. There were still many more challenges to come, and he was ready to face them head-on.
