I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 142: Second Layer of the Forest of Disruption? [3]

Away from Lillian, a lizard watched as its comrade fought against the humans. It then glanced at the lizard beside it, who stood on its hind legs, just like it.

And just like them, it displayed a conspicuous look of confusion. Seconds ago, they had watched as a black-haired woman disappeared before their very eyes.

The lizard looked around. It then shook its head, deciding to join the battles alongside others. It looked back towards the lizard to its side and—

THUD!

—Watched as they collapsed to the ground, their blood leaking through an open slit on their neck, forming a small puddle on the ground that bubbled a bit.

And then suddenly, it felt its limbs become locked in place as shadowy rope-like tentacles stretched out from the ground. It then felt them pull against it, causing its back to curve back.

Just before it could collapse onto its back, a dark puddle—that was stuck to its back—stretched parts of itself outwards, forming a dark slender arm that took on more colour and texture.

And in its hand was an obsidian dagger with jagged edges that shone a murderous reflection under the dark fog.

SWISH!

With a twirl of the hand's wrist, the dagger flashed through the air, swiftly cutting into its throat before leaving.

Before the lizard crashed to the ground, the dark puddle made its move.

It ran from its back and over its body before reaching and moving along the ground.

Once reaching a metre or so distance away from the falling lizard...

Thud...!

Marionette nonchalantly appeared with her back turned. She brushed the strand of hair over her face behind her ear before looking around.

She stared off to the side, watching as Lillian unseamed the stomach of a lizard. Seeing the smirk on Lillian's face, she murmured under her breath:

"... She's enjoying this..."

She quickly pulled out her phone and snapped a photo before inserting it into a folder named:

[Lillian Cool]

After putting away her phone, her eyes darted towards a charging lizard with bloodied eyes-sockets and missing eyes.

She took one step towards it, intending to get rid of it.

However, just before she could intercept, a separate lizard appeared, distracting her briefly.

She watched as it pounced at her—its jaws open. Before its teeth could reach her, a dark, sharp spire shot out from the ground, piercing through its bottom jaw and skewering its mouth.

It curled its body and scratched at the solid, dark spike. But just a second after this happened, Marionette's voice rang out quietly.

"Your breath stinks. Go away." She said, clicking her tongue.

The spike then shrunk back, releasing the monster's jaws and giving it momentary freedom.

However, it then watched as a separate spike emerged from the shrunken spike's side and pierced through its chest, crushing its heart.

Although the monster had already perished, the darkness from the spike began to squirm inside its body.

Like a harmful tumour, it grew in size and exploded out, causing the lizard's body to suddenly have spikes erupting from within.

Its blood flew through the air, falling like rain and washing over a pitch-black umbrella, which Marionette held.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip... Drip...

She watched as the droplets of blood fell from her umbrella before glancing towards Lillian to find that she and that lizard were...

Gone. Hidden away by the dark fog.

"... That's... not good."

She slightly tilted her head to the side, holding her chin with her free hand. She then began to tilt it left and right.

She decided whether or not to go after her. She then turned to the Second Prince to find that he had made swift work on his end.

And soon enough, everyone was. Fortunately, they hadn't lost anyone in this little skirmish. Well... in terms of them using a talisman. But they were indeed down people.

Reph scratched the back of his head, annoyed. Due to the battle, a portion of their group was now lost in the foggy forest. This included Lillian.

"How annoying... not only were we behind on time, ambushed, but now some of our group is missing... and even worse, my Vice is also missing." He then glanced towards Marionette and found her holding out her phone.

After telling everyone to keep still, he walked over to Marionette and asked:

"Are you thinking about going, after her?"

Marionette glanced over and nodded a bit, "That should be obvious. And seeing that all of you are fine, I think I should go and look for her now."

She turned around and talked half a step forward before being held back by a hand on her shoulder.

Reph watched as she turned her face around, her eyes cold and a bit impatient.

"Did you need something, Prince?"

"..." Reph went silent for a bit and sighed, "You don't even know where she is. And with your sense of direction, I doubt you'll be able to find her."

"Hm... on my own? Yes, you're right." Marionette turned her eyes towards the sky before looking down and holding up her phone. She turned the screen and revealed to the Prince a... tracker?

He narrowed his eyes before facepalming, "... You put a tracker on her...?" He rhetorically asked, which Marionette answered with:

"Who knows..."

"WHY THE HELL ARE THESE STILL BOILING!"

Lillian quickly wiped off the blood on her skin as they singed her. After they cooled down a bit, she sighed and stared down at her clothes.

Her pristine white hoodie was now completely stained in blood and so were her cargo pants. She glared at the already dead lizard, specifically at its head that laid on its side.

"Tsk... I should've bought clothes of different colour... this is so crap, man..." She stared at her hands, washing them off with a little bit of water.

She then glanced around at the fog and realised...

"Am I actually lost?" She became silent before clutching the sides of her head and yelling into the sky...
