JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Horizons

Chapter 11: Chapter 8: Blood and Brotherhood

---

Prologue: The Road to Recovery

The aftermath of the battle against Ayaka Fujiwara left the team exhausted, their bodies battered and burned. The ruins of the battlefield still smoldered with the lingering heat of Hellfire Waltz's detonations. They had won—but just barely.

Akira wiped the sweat from his brow, his vision slightly blurred from fatigue. Kenji, ever the powerhouse, was helping Hiroshi to his feet, but even the mighty Titan Soul user was struggling to keep himself standing. Hiroshi's burns were severe, his coat charred, his katana cracked from the intense heat.

Daisuke clenched his fists. "We got out alive… but we're in no shape for another fight."

Kenji exhaled heavily. "We need a healer."

Akira nodded, adjusting his broken glasses. "I know someone."

The team exchanged glances. They all knew who he was talking about.

Nao Mizushima.

The Blood Alchemist.

Phase One: The Crimson Sanctuary

The journey to Nao's hideout was agonizing. Every step felt heavier. Hiroshi barely managed to walk, his burns making every movement torture. Kenji was limping from his earlier injuries. Even Daisuke, usually the most agile, winced with every step.

They finally arrived at an abandoned clinic, tucked away in the ruins of an old district. The building's windows were shattered, the walls covered in creeping ivy. Yet, despite its decayed exterior, there was something strangely intact about the place.

Akira knocked.

Silence.

Then, the sound of footsteps.

The door creaked open slightly, revealing piercing crimson eyes. Nao Mizushima stood there, arms crossed, her expression unreadable. Her long, dark hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, and she wore a simple white coat stained with faint traces of dried blood.

She raised an eyebrow. "You look like hell."

Kenji chuckled. "You should see the other guy."

Nao sighed. "Come inside before you bleed out on my doorstep."

The team stepped inside, finding the interior surprisingly well-maintained. An operating table sat at the center, surrounded by cabinets filled with makeshift medical supplies. The faint scent of antiseptic mixed with something more metallic—blood.

Nao rolled up her sleeves. "Who's first?"

Hiroshi collapsed onto the table. "Not to be dramatic, but I think I'm dying."

Nao smirked. "You're not. But you will be if I don't fix those burns."

She placed her hand over his chest.

Crimson Reverie manifested behind her—a ghostly, blood-red Stand with intricate veins running through its transparent form. It pulsed with an unnatural energy, and suddenly, the burns on Hiroshi's skin began to mend. The charred flesh slowly returned to normal, the pain fading from his face.

He exhaled in relief. "That's… incredible."

Nao shrugged. "You get used to it."

One by one, she healed them. Kenji's torn muscles were mended. Daisuke's bruises disappeared. Akira's wounds closed without a scar.

When she was done, she wiped sweat from her brow. "There. You're patched up."

Akira sat up, rolling his shoulder. "We owe you one."

Nao crossed her arms. "Damn right you do."

Phase Two: Gathering the Lost

Kenji leaned against the table. "We can't stop here. We need more allies if we're going to take on Minh and Cetz."

Nao tapped her fingers on her arm, considering. "There are a few people who might help. But they're not going to just sign up for a suicide mission."

"Who?" Akira asked.

Nao turned, pulling a folder from a nearby cabinet. She laid it on the table, flipping it open to reveal several profiles.

1. Renji Arata ("The Gambler") – A rogue strategist with a probability-based Stand, Fortune's Folly. Known for high-stakes battles and playing both sides.

2. Shoji Nakamura ("The Enigma") – A memory manipulator with Eclipse Waltz. Nobody knows his real motives.

3. Mei Takeda ("The Silent Blade") – A former assassin who vanished after a failed mission. Her Stand, Razor Symphony, makes her a ghost in battle.

4. Koji Sakamoto ("The Guardian") – A defensive Stand user with Iron Will. Loyal to a fault, but slow to trust.

5. Haruto Fujiwara ("The Storm Bringer") – A volatile fighter with Tempest Waltz, capable of manipulating localized weather.

6. Nao Mizushima ("The Blood Alchemist") – Herself.

Nao smirked. "I already know my answer."

Akira looked at the list. Each name was a risk—but also a necessity.

"We don't have time to hesitate," Hiroshi said. "Who do we go after first?"

Nao folded her arms. "Renji. He's the hardest to pin down, but if we get him, he'll lead us to the others."

Daisuke grinned. "Then let's go roll the dice."

With their wounds healed and their next target set, the team stepped out into the night, knowing the battle was only beginning.
