The next day, Kuragami Uchiha went to the Konoha Military Police Force to arrange some work. 

As the agreed time on the invitation approached, he took his prepared gifts and set off toward the Inuzuka Clan's territory.

Inside the Inuzuka Clan's compound, preparations had already been completed. One had to admit that the cohesion of the Inuzuka Clan was remarkably strong. 

After the clan's decision maker made the decision last night to go all-in on siding with the Uchiha Clan, the entire clan had mobilized early in the morning to prepare for Kuragami Uchiha's arrival.

At the entrance of the Inuzuka Clan's compound, the road was paved with yellow soil and clean water was splashed on the streets, which was a grand gesture of welcome.

When Kuragami Uchiha arrived, he saw that the Inuzuka Clan's Head, along with three Jonin and their grand elder, were all waiting for him at the entrance.

The scene almost gave Kuragami Uchiha the feeling of a leader inspecting his subordinates in his past life. 

All that was missing were banners hanging over the Inuzuka gates.

Seeing this level of reception, Kuragami Uchiha immediately understood the Inuzuka Clan's stance; they had had enough of their marginal position in the village and were now looking to rise in influence.

As soon as Kuragami Uchiha arrived, Kenshiro Inuzuka took the lead, along with the others, to greet him.

Kuragami Uchiha smiled and said: "I apologize for coming unannounced and troubling you all."

"Clan head, Kuragami, not at all! Your visit brings great honor to our Inuzuka Clan." 

Kenshiro Inuzuka responded with a smile.

After shaking hands with the Clan Heads, when it was Kaze Inuzuka's turn, he laughed heartily and said: "Clan Head Kuragami, I still remember how well you hosted me when we were on the mission before. Now that you've come to the Inuzuka Clan, you must allow me the chance to return the favor."

"Clan Head Kuragami, please."

They escorted Kuragami Uchiha into the clan's reception hall. Not long after they sat down, servants came in and served tea.

Kenshiro Inuzuka, who was sitting in the main seat, asked. 

"May I ask what the purpose of the clan head Kuragami's visit today is?"

Kuragami Uchiha replied: "Here's the situation: Recently, the Konoha Military Police Force recruited a batch of new members. Their strength is decent, and they train diligently, but ultimately, they lack the Sharingan."

"When it comes to chasing criminals or searching for contraband, they struggle to keep up. During my last mission, Brother Kaze mentioned that your esteemed clan was considering selling a batch of trained Ninja Hounds to the Konoha Military Police Force. So, the Konoha Military Police Force wishes to purchase a batch of well-trained Ninja Hounds from your clan."

"The Konoha Military Police Force is essential for maintaining the peace and security of the village. As part of the village, our Inuzuka Clan is, of course, willing to offer our full support. There is no need for such talk of purchasing." 

Kenshiro Inuzuka said, waving his hand. "Tomorrow, we will personally deliver a selection of our finest adult Ninja Hounds to the Konoha Military Police Force."

"That would be fantastic." 

Kuragami Uchiha said with a smile. "And Clan Head Inuzuka, please rest assured, once these Ninja Hounds join the Konoha Military Police Force, they will be given official police dog status. Each dog will receive a monthly stipend of 30,000 ryō, provided in the form of food. The Konoha Military Police Force will ensure that every single coin of that budget is used for the dogs."

"30,000 Ryō?" 

Kenshiro Inuzuka, standing nearby, was stunned.

In the Inuzuka Clan, only the most elite Ninja Hounds, those that formed lifelong contracts with their human partners and mastered the clan's Hidden Jutsus, received this level of treatment. 

Now, would even ordinary Ninja Hounds get the same treatment?

To be honest, with a guaranteed 30,000 Ryō monthly allowance, even some of their mid-ranking ninjas and Special Jonin might be tempted to become police dogs themselves.

"It seems that Clan Head Kuragami is a true dog lover." 

Kenshiro Inuzuka chuckled. "I was initially worried that our Ninja Hounds wouldn't receive proper care at the Konoha Military Police Force, but I see now that my concerns were unnecessary."

"But." 

Kaze Inuzuka interjected: "Does the Konoha Military Police Force have people who can properly care for these Ninja Hounds? Clan Head Kuragami, looking after Ninja Hounds isn't as easy as taking care of some noble's pet dog."

"That's true." Kuragami Uchiha admitted.

"Most of my clan members might be fine looking after cats, but when it comes to dogs, especially elite Ninja Hounds, they would probably struggle." 

Kuragami then turned to Kenshiro Inuzuka. "I wonder if Clan Head Inuzuka would be willing to help us a little further?"

"What do you mean, Clan Head Kuragami?" 

Kenshiro Inuzuka asked, feigning ignorance.

Of course, he already understood perfectly well. 

The Inuzuka Clan had already chosen the people they planned to send to work at the Konoha Military Police Force, but he was waiting for Kuragami Uchiha to personally make the request. 

After all, there was a big difference between volunteering people and being formally invited.

Kuragami Uchiha knew this too. 

The Inuzuka Clan had already made a grand gesture with their welcoming ceremony. 

The whole event, with its yellow-soil-paved roads and freshly cleaned streets, had likely already been reported to Hiruzen Sarutobi and those two old geezers. 

The Inuzuka Clan had shown their stance, and Kuragami Uchiha had no problem returning the favor.

After all, the Inuzuka Clan was the first to stand with them. Even if this was just a symbolic gesture, Kuragami Uchiha was willing to pay a hefty price for it. 

Besides, they were providing much-needed specialists for the Konoha Military Police Force.

"The Konoha Military Police Force would like to formally hire professional dog trainers, veterinarians, and Ninja Hound handlers from your esteemed clan. After all, specialized tasks should be handled by professionals. And in the entire Shinobi World, I can't think of anyone better suited to the job than the Inuzuka Clan." 

Kuragami Uchiha said with a smile.

"As for compensation, trainers and veterinarians are considered technical specialists. The Konoha Military Police Force is offering them a salary equivalent to a team leader, 180,000 ryō per month. Ninja Hound handlers will be assigned to combat roles and will receive salaries based on their rank. Currently, within the Konoha Military Police Force, Chunin earns 180,000 ryō per month, while Special Jonin earns 300,000 ryō."

Before Kenshiro Inuzuka could respond, Kaze Inuzuka eagerly leaned forward.

"What about Jonin?" He asked.

The pay Kuragami Uchiha was offering was tempting; even though he's a Jonin, he rarely earned 300,000 ryō a month.

"Kaze! Don't just blurt things out!" 

Kenshiro Inuzuka scolded.

"Haha, brother Kaze is as straightforward as ever." 

Kuragami Uchiha chuckled. "For Jonin, the base salary is 400,000 ryō. With mission bonuses and other allowances, it's not hard to earn around 600,000 ryō a month. I trust brother Kaze's skills completely."

"Ahem." 

Kenshiro Inuzuka suddenly coughed. "Clan Head Kuragami, let's return to the main topic. The Inuzuka Clan is willing to cooperate with the Konoha Military Police Force. We will deliver the Ninja Hounds this afternoon, and our clan members assigned to the Konoha Military Police Force will report for duty tomorrow."

"There's no rush." 

Kuragami Uchiha said. "Since the Inuzuka Clan is willing to contribute to Konoha's security, the Konoha Military Police Force should express our gratitude properly. As for what form that gratitude will take, you'll find out when the Ninja Hounds arrive at the Konoha Military Police Force tomorrow."

"Then, we leave it in your hands, Clan Head Uchiha." 

Kenshiro Inuzuka said.

"Haha, there's no need for such formality. We're all doing this for Konoha, for the will of fire!" 

Kuragami Uchiha laughed.
