Phoenix Reborn In One Piece

Chapter 156: Chapter 156: We Only Want the Gold

"Chief Grandpa!"

A clear, childlike voice broke the silence of Cloud Village. It was the young warrior Aisa, running toward the chief's treehouse in a panic.

"Something bad happened, Chief Grandpa! Enel was defeated by those Blue Sea people!" Aisa shouted anxiously.

The news struck like lightning, shocking the entire village.

Villagers rushed out of their treehouses, eager to confirm if it was true.

"Aisa, are you sure? How could Enel be defeated by the Blue Sea people?" Wiper was the first to reach her, his face full of disbelief.

Other Shandia people chimed in, "Yeah, Enel is a god! How could he lose to those outsiders?"

But Aisa nodded firmly, her eyes shining with excitement.

"It's true! The loud noises we heard earlier were from their fight. And now, Enel has really been defeated!" Aisa said excitedly.

Hearing her certainty, the Shandia people burst into cheers.

Some even had tears in their eyes.

For so long, they had wanted to defeat Enel, but his godlike powers made them feel powerless.

Now that he was finally beaten, it meant they had a chance to return to their homeland—Upper Yard.

"Whoa!!!"

"This is amazing! Enel is finally gone!"

"Does this mean we can go back to Upper Yard? *sniff* *sniff*..."

The Shandia people cheered even louder, some crying openly.

Years of frustration and struggle were finally released in this moment.

Their voices mixed together, expressing the deep joy and anticipation in their hearts.

"Chief!" Wiper looked at the chief, his eyes burning with determination.

The other Shandia warriors, seeing Wiper's expression, immediately understood his thoughts.

Everyone turned to the chief, waiting for his decision.

This was the best chance in over 400 years to reclaim Upper Yard.

Even the chief couldn't help but feel a surge of hope.

"Everyone, grab your weapons! We're heading to Angel Island!" the chief ordered without hesitation.

"Yes!"

"Chief, we'll get ready right away!"

The entire Cloud Village sprang into action.

This time, they truly believed they could take back Upper Yard!

~~~~~~
Just like Cloud Village, Angel Island was also in a frenzy.
The Sky Islanders were gathering in large numbers, rushing toward Angel Beach.
After all, no one could resist the temptation of wealth!
However, they still didn't dare approach Ryuen and his group too closely.
For now, they could only watch from a distance.
Meanwhile, Enel's four priests had already been brought to Angel Beach by Ryuen and his crew.
After some discussion, Ryuen and his team decided to retrieve the gold from Shandora!
As for ruling over the Sky Island?
They had no interest.
They only wanted the gold.
"Gan Fall, until we allow it, do not let anyone enter Upper Yard!" Ryuen called out to him.
Gan Fall was briefly stunned but quickly responded, "I understand. But if the Shandia people come, they may not listen to me."
Ryuen thought for a moment before replying, "Then tell them that once we come out, we'll help settle the issue of who Upper Yard belongs to."
"In that case, I know what to do," Gan Fall said with a small smile.
He knew this was good news for both the Shandia and the Sky Islanders.
Ryuen nodded, signaling his approval.
With that settled, the Dream Crew took Enel and his priests onto their ship and set sail from the White Sea, heading straight for Upper Yard.
After about half an hour, just as Gan Fall had expected, the Shandians appeared.
By this time, Ryuen and his crew had already left.
With over 400 years of hostility between the two sides, they immediately entered a standoff the moment they met.
"Chief of the Shandians, the Blue Sea people who defeated Enel told us that once they leave Upper Yard, they will help us settle the issue of its ownership.
But before that, they ordered that none of us are allowed to enter Upper Yard!" Gan Fall quickly found the Shandian chief and relayed Ryuen's message.
The Shandian chief was doubtful at first.
But seeing that all the Sky Islanders were here and none of them had entered Upper Yard, he decided to believe Gan Fall for now.
"Chief!"
Seeing the chief agree, Wiper grew anxious.
"Wiper, don't be reckless. We are no match for those Blue Sea people."
Noticing Wiper's impatience, the chief immediately tried to calm him down.
~~~~~~

Meanwhile, the Dream Crew had arrived at Upper Yard's palace, bringing Enel and his four priests with them.

There, they saw the unfinished Ark Maxim and the craftsmen who had been working on it.

"Enel, are you really still planning to go to that so-called 'Vearth'?" Ryuen looked at him strangely.

"This god has only one request." Enel replied in a calm tone.

"Alright. Nami, unlock his Seastone handcuffs." Ryuen nodded and turned to Nami.

Nami hesitated for a moment but still stepped forward and removed the cuffs from Enel's wrists.

Enel stretched his hands, a glint of excitement and anticipation flashing in his eyes.

Still, he kept his word and handed over the blueprints for the Ark Maxim to Ryuen. It was part of their deal.

"God!"

"What should we do?"

"Lord Enel, we want to follow you to the Endless Vearth!"

"Lord Enel!"

Seeing Enel hand over the blueprints, his priests couldn't hold back anymore. They knew their god was about to leave!

"Yahahaha!"

"Pathetic weaklings! This god has no need for your company!" Enel said arrogantly before turning into lightning and soaring into the sky.

This time, he would go to the Endless Vearth alone!

"God!"

"Lord Enel!"

The priests called out anxiously.

Ryuen ignored them and handed the blueprints to Hog.

"Hog, see if you can build this ship without using gold."

"I'll need to study it carefully first." Hog said excitedly.

A flying ship! This kind of technology—he had never seen anything like it before!

"Nyehh~~"

"Ryuen, shouldn't we go look for gold now? Enel said there's still a lot left in the Golden City below!" Nami said eagerly.

Hearing this, the rest of the Dream Crew also grew excited.
