Chapter 20: Chapter 19 : Teen Power
Izuku made all of the teens listen somehow, with some difficulty. Surprisingly, Bakugo wasn't the one who caused the most trouble; Muramoto and Izuna were.
The two of them needed to work on people skills the most. No matter how Izuku constructed their part of the plan, someone found a new reason and way to complain. They weren't eager to work together by any means.
Finally, with a painful amount of compromise, the six of them agreed to somewhat of a plan. While Bakugo is the most agile with his quirk out of all of them, he couldn't work as bait, and except for Izuku and Muramoto, no one else wanted to.
Izuna and Momo were positioned right behind the passage where the two men were supposed to pass through. Momo made the bindings for Izuna to attach onto the two man .
Bakugo and Akito hid behind the rubble, about ten meters from the passage. Their task was to attack them and fight when and if necessary.
The plan was plain and simple: Izuku and Mueamoto are going to run and avoid all of the attacks while Momo and Izuna are going to capture them. Akito and Bakugo were just safety measures, and if Izuku was going to be honest, he hoped they understood their part.
The silence started killing everyone; the heat rose from their chests to their necks. Some were dying from excitement; some were waiting to die.
Finally, a sound of boots clacking on the floor announced Mon and Quanny's entrance. They were nonchalant, calm, and relaxed; everything the teens weren't.
They didn't exchange a word; they just eyed the room. Their gaze passed over every pebble and crack, looking for the other four. Once they finally gave up, they exchanged glances with Izuku and Muramoto.
"[Where are the others?"] Mon asked. Muramoto's dumfounded face told Izuku that she didn't understand a word he said. So he was forced to make small talk with the man in front.
[I don't know we separated in panic, they ran off somewhere.] He answered, his body moving backward ever so slightly. [ Are we not enough for you?]
[Don't play games. I know that you like making absurd plans; you fought my comrade after all.]
[So the bomb boy is with you actually? Interesting.] He hummed, placing a hand in front of Muramoto to stop her from jumping into the fight too early. [You aren't anything alike.]
[Wow, I can't believe a brat actually complimented you.] Quanny said in his high, boyish voice.
[That one actually is a little bit like CC.]
[So you know him by name? That rude snob actually introduced himself.] Mon actually smiled a little.
"Change of the plan, don't avoid their attacks; you run left and I will run right; let's split them." Izuku spoke after he caught a glimpse of a rope flying in the air suspended by Izuna's red quirk.
[It is rude to whisper around people.] Quanny lowered his body, ready to hasten towards them.
"It's stupid; there isn't anyone to protect you on the right, the two morons are on the left, and you can't expose yourself that much."
"Trust me!" He shouted, and as he jumped to the right, running right after that, Muramoto also did the same thing, making an arch shape as he ran, leaving just enough distance between her and Bakugo.
Mon would've reacted to it in mere seconds if he wasn't bound in rope decorated with manastones, which stopped both his magic and his quirk. The ropes were also thick and strong enough to hold him in place.
While he was lying on the floor, Quanny was already off chasing Izuku, leaving Muramoto alone. He wasn't interested in her; he was interested in the descendant of an unforgiving green maiden.
"Nittum verdi!" Izuku shouted, instructing five energy balls towards the lean-built young adult in front of him. Quanny didn't flinch; he just swung his arm in front of his face, letting two chains extend from his forearm to form a whip traveling towards the green-haired boy.
Three of the energy balls met the chains, exploding on impact, while the other two somehow made their way towards Quanny's torso. "Got you!" Izuku said to himself as he observed two mana constructs ready to scorch his skin.
[Summon!] He ordered, clenching his fist like he was holding a sword. After his little incantation, he was holding one, placed right over his chest. Izuku still wasn't bothered; the sword was too close to his body; he would end up with a wound of some kind at least.
[Don't get cocky, kind!] He taunted and swung his sword in front, acting like he was going to cut the energy blasts in half. [You fool…] Izuku was dumbfounded when he actually succeeded. The two blue spheres got halved and dissolved right after.
[Switch!] He gave an order to his weapon, and soon in response, the sword transformed into a long spear. [These weapons are part of my complex, so they are immune to magic, you little shit.!]
"So no physical attacks." Izuku muttered. [This is a bit above my power level but I'll try!] He said, breaking off a pillar and placing it in front of himself. [Sure! Try; let's see how your mom trained you!]
He scoffed. That man wasn't interested in him like CC was; he was interested in the creation of Green Maiden. "Do tibi vitam ut possis pugnare pro me." He uttered, letting quite a lot of his mana flow into the pillar.
A crack formed in the pillar; a few parts fell off, while the other parts moved to all sides, making a cement golem carved with runes that were lit up by his blue mana as the golem came to life.
Izuku tried to make the golem as lean and fast as possible for two simple reasons. For it not to fall through the roof and to follow Quanny's pace of the fight and his fighting style.
"Damn it, Deku!" An ear-breaking scream filled the room. Somehow the blonde, angry Pomeranian is angry again. "Rinnu!" He announced the incantation, pushing Bakugo, who intended to jump on him, back.
"Not now, Bakugo!" He screamed, sending him back, slamming his back against a wall. "The hell are you doing? Stick to the plan!"
"The hell am I doing? You lied your whole life about you being quirkless." He spat, marching towards Izuku after the spell lost its effect.
"Do you really think that it is appropriate to discuss this right now?" Quanny, not understanding a single word the two of them said, decided not to attack them.
"I don't care; I'll kill you if you don't answer me!" Bakugo caused an explosion in front of making Quanny change his approach; however, his spear managed to cause a cut on Bakugo's arm, which the blond boy didn't pay more attention to than just covering it with the medical alcohol he stole a few hours ago.
"Where the hell did you get that?"
"Stole it."
"It doesn't surprise me."
"Shut up!"
"Attack!" Izuku ordered his golem while he dragged Bakugo with him. The golem's attacks were blunt and strong while lacking grace and precision. But for the situation they were in, it is doing more than enough.
Quanny tried multiple times to attack the living cement construction with his spear but it did almost nothing.
[Complexes are immune to magic but not superior to it, I'm afraid.] Izuku taunted him from afar as he used the telekinesis spell to move Akito and Muramoto behind him.
"Go to Momo and Izuna, help them make anything they want or need. The faster we seal him, the better." Izuku ordered them while he caught by the end of his eye how Quanny finally figured out a way to fight his golem.
He used his quirk to form multiple chains, which he swung as whips. Each gave off an ear-piercing sound as they broke the sound barrier with their ends.
With no struggle, chains wrapped themselves around Izuku's golem with the intention to crush it. Quanny started to tighten them, but instead of stone breaking a scratching sound filled a room, while the golem was covered with a blue layer of energy.
[Try something else.] Izuku turned to Quanny, connecting his arm together, fingers crossed together, ready to fire a spell.
"Marqucias verdi tess." A strong ray of light shot from his arms, aimed at the
Hispanic man in front.
"He dodged, genius!" Bakugo noted what happened so everybody was not on the same page.
"Dumbass! It was never supposed to hit him!" Izuku corrected him as he moved the continuous blast around, forcing Quanny to move towards the golem.
He tried a few more times to damage him, with his chains, just kicks and punches and at last, again with his spear, which he changed into a sword, then into a mace, giving as much as effort to leave just a scratch.
"Now try to fight him!" Izuku loudly commanded as he kicked Bakugo towards Quanny. In the meantime, he had a few more ideas on how to fight the creation of Izuku's.
He would hide behind the golem, letting the blast hit the sentient cement pillar. Of course it didn't work, and Izuku still had control over the battlefield as long as he kept his distance and that is where Bakugo comes in.
Bakugo has temper problems; he is persistent and loves to punch stuff, combined with a quirk that is best for close to mid-distance.
"I hate the fact we make a great team." Izuku spat while he directed Quanny right into Bakugo's explosions. "Nah, you are just terrible; you needed to fight with someone capable."
"Ok, the-capable-one." Izuku added while he started to undo the spell; this time he can take it slowly; he has space compared to fighting with CC. "I am running out of mana." He whispered to himself quietly as the spell started to flicker on its own without his intervention.
"Running out of what?" Bakugo questioned, dodging another chain whip.
"Nothing." He quickly muttered, staring around, looking for something that could be of use to throw rather than him using an energy-based spell. More mana efficient.
In his little quest of searching, three red lines passing next to his ear send chills through his skin. It was hardened blood, Muramoto's quirk.
"Do you boys mind if I join as well?" Muramoto spoke, forming a spear of her own. "Stick to projectiles." Izuku warned her, finally managing to undo the spell.
"Honestly, that spell is exhausting." He spoke under his breath, his voice quieter than a whisper. At least he thought so.
"Yeah, I noticed." Muramoto placed her face a bit too close to his.
"Spell?" Bakugo questioned.
Muramoto took Izuku's role of long-range cover while he was more focused on throwing a few rubbles here and there; Muramoto's blood spears and shurikens did most of the job.
Quanny continued to fight; he didn't even react to the notation that there is a new attacker. Well, maybe he did a little; instead of generating chains from his left arm, he started using his right arm. His punches and kicks got sharper and more fierce, but his face was still the same. Same ear-to-ear wide creepy grin.
Quanny's moves got a bit too fast for Bakugo to track or Muramoto to hit. They started to hit air with no exception.
"He is toying with us..." Izuku muttered, putting down the long, flat cement block he prepared. "They're both toying with us." Izuku said, his voice shaking a little.
Covered with scarlet red light, the same black Izuku was preparing himself to throw, flew right at Quanny, who used his complex weapon formed into a sword to cut it in half.
"Who cares!?" Izuna butted in, walking in every nonchalant way while tying her hair into a ponytail. "We'll win either way."
"Delusional as always, I see." Izuku spoke, extending his hand for a fist bump, which Izuna gladly took. "Don't act as if you aren't giving up as well."
"..."
"You were actually thinking about it?!" Izuna shrieked. "Maybe?" He moved his hand to the left, avoiding her gaze. "Give them who they want and let everybody else escape. It is easier."
"Since when do you care what's easy?"
"..."
"Answer me!"
"I have nothing to say." He spoke, picking up the small bead he created by transforming a grasshopper into. "The four of us are going to push him a little more, while Momo and Miya escape; after that, you and Muramoto, then Bakugo, and maybe I'll make it as well."
"They are after you? Right?" Bakugo shouted across the room, his face and chest bloody with various cuts from chains and weapons.
"What gave it away?"
"The guilt." Izuna answered, turning her back to Izuku. "I refuse to follow your plan. We'll fight."
"And we'll die." Izuku added. "Please listen to me. There is no way to beat the two of them; they aren't even going all out right now."
"It is better to die fighting rather than to run like a coward." Bakugo's words were strong; he really meant it.
"No, it is better to survive."
"Either way upstairs is Agatha; I am sure she will be of use after she defeats her own opponents." Izuna spoke, trying to lift Quanny into the air. It wouldn't be as hard if he didn't move around that much.
"She has her own stuff to take care of; we can't expect much from her." Izuku said, but no one listened.Nobody reacted. Izuna kept Quanny in the air while Muramoto and Bakugo attacked below, and Izuku's golem blocked most of the attacks.
"Is anyone listening to me?" He screamed, hoping to grab anyone's attention, but again being unsuccessful.
"We told you that we aren't going to listen to you! Now get your ass here and help us fight. Mutamoto ordered, extending her blood whip to grab Izuku and drag him towards her.
"Reformatum figura." He formed three long steel spikes out of the dirt and small stones around.
The spikes struck right into Quanny's chest. Some of them bounced off while two stuck onto him, making his blood drip slowly over his stomach.
"I'll cover support, Bakugo close range. Who's going to be 2nd close and who is going to be long distance?" Izuku questioned as he raised his hands, gathering the little mana he had left.
"I'll be close-range." Muramoto spoke, trying to grab a little of Quanny's blood but he got out of Izuna's grip just in time. "Give me at least a drop of his blood and we'll win."
"Deal." Twins said, while Bakugo attacked Quanny the moment he moved. "Enough talk, fight you two!" He ordered.
"Sure," Izuku said, raising his hands in the air and starting to utter in Latin. "Ego dabo fortitudinem ad pugnatores meos." The blue rays flew from his hands to the Izuna and Bakugo, engulfing them in the cobalt-blue glow.
"Enhancement, you're about two times as fast, durable, and strong in terms of physical terms.
"What about me?" Muramoto questioned, faking sad dog eyes.
"I don't know any spells for precision or any other range enhancement." He said, starting to focus on mana around him, there is little left, not even enough to start a flow.
"You have six minutes; use them well." Izuku said to the two fighters he enhanced. Those six minutes are how long his mana would last.
"Give us two." Bakugo said, jumping and pushing his knee into Quanny's stomach. He wanted to grab him by the chest so some of his blood would be stuck on his hand, but he avoided it.
Izuna tried to dropkick him the moment he moved away from the blonde boy. She missed as well; however, the moment she hit the floor, she used her quirks to throw anything she saw in her range.
A giant explosion next to him was made of Bakugo's quirk, redirecting him to move next to the golem's bone-crushing punch. On pure reflex, he started using his quirk with four chains sticking out.
The chains were caught by Izuna with her quirk as she dragged him straight into the cement wall. A normal person would've had their spine broken after that, while Quanny just walked it off.
A sharp sound flew across the air, along with three red blurry lines passing through it. Three blood arrows directed themselves at Quanny.
The first one was missed, while Quanny blocked the second and third ones. But honestly, who cares when you have Bakugo to blast his face? It left some scratches, but it didn't do much damage.
"Five minutes!"
Quanny was ready to throw a punch of his own; he gave up on using his complex. By this time Izuku managed to find a way to counter it and Quanny was sure that even from a distance there would be no exceptions. Chains were a liability as Izuna can easily manipulate them. So a punch is a go-to.
He was blocked.
Izuna gathered the red energy of her quirk to create a pseudo-barrier of small size. But his second punch, met his target. Bakugo's nose was broken, with blood flowing from it like water from a faucet.
"I'll heal you; continue fighting!" Izuku demanded, knowing that his support spell had a healing property. "I don't need you to tell me what to do!" Bakugo retorted, taking a few steps back because of the impact.
Quanny's fist was still extended out when Muramoto sent her blood whip and managed to entangle him somehow. Winning a contest of strength against him was just a fantasy for any of the teens in the room, so instead of pulling back, she hardened the blood and stuck it to the ground.
"Four minutes!"
Izuna's energy barrier turned into a grab of sorts with her pulling Quanny in just to toss him immediately.
[Mon, get your ass up and help me deal with these kids.]
[C'mon, don't tell me you need help to deal with four teenagers.] Bakugo said in between breaths as he was forced to drink his own blood that dripped from his nose. [How you spoke, how you presented yourself, I thought you were some big shot.] Izuku's spell healed him somewhat by now, but blood didn't stop.
Quanny, with no words, his smirk hidden by his clenched mouth, which was a good pair to sharpened eyes of his, didn't say a word; however, he let out a wave of eight chains.
"Three minutes!"
Four from each arm, each traveling in different dimensions, and each rubbing off on each other. He had no specific target. The four of them, he wanted to hit them all at the same time.
He was almost successful in it; Muramoto and Izuna managed to protect themself but that's it. Izuku and Bakugo were wrapped violently in chains.
"Don't help us, continue attacking him." Izuku said, trying to flex his hands open so the spell wouldn't be disrupted.
"But," Muramoto tried, but Bakugo cut her off immediately.
"There's no buts; listen to the shitty nerd." A metal cracking sound came from his legs and chest. "I'll break free with no problem."
"Still—" Izuna wasn't cut off by either of the boys. It was Quanny himself with a somewhat precise shot to her wrist. [Attention on me, princes.]
"Whatever he said sounded gross."
"Cuz it is." Bakugo confirmed.
It was usually hard to gain Izuna's attention, but when you got her focused on you, she was fuming angry, as she is right now. Her eyes were scarlet red and multiple objects were flying around with her not moving a single hand.
"It's getting interesting!" Muramoto squealed, creating multiple blood whips that were periodically striking Quanny. They all missed, but it gave enough space for Izuna to strike her hits and believe me, when you are struck with a 9-foot boulder, it is way better than just a small cut from a whip.
By that time Bakugo managed to free himself. It took him some time but it was way shorter than Izuku expected.
"Two minutes."
[Mon!!] Quanny's voice wasn't shaking a bit; it was rather low and raspy. He was getting annoyed and angry.
And it didn't help that Bakugo just by a beat of his heart succeeded in navigating through Izuna's throwing pattern and closing the distance to throw a blast to his face.
This time it had less of a punch, as the enhancement spell was at its limit, and it drained quite a bit of strength by healing his broken nose bone.
While blinded by Bakugo's explosion, Quanny was struck with a blood sword that managed to dig itself into his right chest. 3-inch deep cut, nothing dangerous.
Well, Izuna wasn't that gentle; a cement block larger than Quanny fell on him. It buried him alive.
[Enough!] His shouts were muffled under dense cement.[I don't have the patience for this]
[{Chapter one: Supreme demon's servant}] Quanny uttered with multiple demonic voices following right after. The cement started cracking and breaking, revealing Quanny with obnoxiously orange energy forming over his left arm with a black circle on the back of his palm.
"A minute."
[I guess it is time for me to join as well.]Mon muttered under his breath; he sounded tired and annoyed for the most part when he broke numerous ropes and chains along with magic seals that Momo was placing on him this whole time.
When he got up, both she and Akito were scared, backing away, afraid of his every move, if he was actually to hurt them.
Fortunately for them, he walked away towards Quanny, not looking at anyone or anything. His eyes were partly closed, barely registering the information they saw.
"Guys, I think you'll need to free me as well." Izuku said, completely drained of mana, hoping to gather some from the air.
"Free yourself, nerd!"
"On it." Momo said her voice was shaky and her hands were fidgeting for the most part instead of freeing Izuku.
"And the spell is off." Izuku muttered as all the light from Izuna and Bagugo disappeared. The whole time he started at the Quanny, waiting for the man to make any moves. He was helpless right now so all the bets were on just dodging.
When he was finally ready to throw a swing, the ceiling disappeared. It turned green; the emerald-like energy started engulfing the whole room from the ceiling to the floor, changing the terrain in the process.
Soon they weren't in the same room; they weren't in the building at all; they were outside on constantly shifting terrain.
"What the hell is this?" Bakugo spat, looking around, trying to comprehend what this is. While the only thing Mon and Izuku had on their mind was, "Hell no!"
