Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 412: Complicated

With his plans crumbling one by one, Xu Feng stopped stressing himself and decided to search for a solution.

"Okay, take whatever you need to assist your Tier Advancement, Carmen. Don't bother to be humble toward the guild. The faster you completed it, the greater you would help the guild." Xu Feng said solemnly.

The current mainstream players had yet to even reach level 28, so Carmen was going to be the first player to advance to Tier 1 if she were to succeed.

By then, the Vanguard guild's overall power would soar to a new height.

Who would still dare to cause trouble if their guild had a Tier 1 player?

"Thank you, Guild Leader." Carmen clasped her hands and would not be reserved in taking the guild's resources to assist her.

Now that she had become a real member and interacted with Xu Feng for a while, she was rather comfortable taking his things. After all, she was going to use the strength she obtained to assist the guild anyway. It was a win-win situation for the two of them.

"You may go now. In the meantime, I'll try to stall as much time as possible until your return. If it's still not possible, then I'll just have to search for new members to do the raid with me." Xu Feng waved his hand, clearly not wanting her to waste any more time.

"Then who will manage and guide the new people coming here?"

"Don't worry about it. I have my plan."

"Got it, then I'll talk to you later." With that said, Carmen ended the call.

However, before her call ended, Xu Feng was stupefied when he noticed a blacksmith working for him in the Vanguard Blacksmith on the back. It was only for a glimpse of seconds, but Xu Feng realized she had been waiting for him to give the greenlight for her to take the guild's resources.

'Who did she learn from to be shrewd?' Xu Feng twitched his mouth at her sneaky behavior.

A few seconds later, Xu Feng messaged Zhao Kai and wondered when he would arrive at Star Falls City.

"This Kai better not say he can't do the raid either. Otherwise, I'm going to rat on him and let his sis get him." He snickered coldly.

Thankfully, luck seemed to be on Zhao Kai's side as he responded in less than 3 seconds.

Apparently, Zhao Kai had arrived already and was touring the city to familiarize himself. After all, Star Falls City was the base of the Vanguard guild, and as the Commander, not knowing their base city was a ridiculous matter.

Sometime later, the two met up at one of the Vanguard owned-land. There was no building here despite the large plot of land.

"How come this place is empty, Feng?" Zhao Kai asked confusingly. "If we were to construct another hotel here, then business would be booming."

Reason for it was that this large plot of empty land was actually like the midpoint of all crucial areas.

Crucial areas such as the Adventure Association, Auction Market, Mercenary Association, and many more that players would be required to visit on a daily basis.

The Auction Market owned by the NPC was a different category from the ones that players had on their interface. Unlike the player's interface in which items were put up by players and purchased by players themselves, the Auction Market was like a worldwide connection chain.

It connected items auctioned by NPCs, and most of the time, these items were rather valuable. The only downside was the cost of the bidding price and no players were rich enough to contend against other NPCs.

Naturally, such an Auction Market was strived by many players in the hope of owning one for themselves, but it was a pity that this kind of special building required certain criterias.

Taking a deep breath, Xu Feng proceeded to chuckle and said, "This large plot is not going to be public use, Kai."

"Eh?" Startled, Zhao Kai's eyes widened. "You— a money grubber from out of nowhere would suddenly refuse to let this plot of land earn you money?"

"When was I a money grubber?" Xu Feng twitched his brows.

"The external auction…" Zhao Kai rolled his eyes and responded.

"Did you know how much my fingers hurt from constantly clicking to raise the bid to get the slots? If you weren't a money grubber, then why couldn't you just give it to my eldest sis?" He continued, clearly using this as an opportunity to vent his frustration that had been concealed for a while.

"No wonder your sis lectures you harshly. You don't even understand a thing." Xu Feng facepalmed.

"Your sis owns a private guild, and if I were to secretly hand her a few slots. Did you think the other guilds are going to be dumb and ignorant of the matter?" He then reminded him, letting Zhao Kai know that the Divine World was not their playground.

Those who won or lost the bidding of the slots would put out their own forces to investigate who was involved in the slots— his Vanguard guild included.

A large-scale raid of 100 players along with a livestream was enough threat to any guild's honor and reputation. Only a foolish guild would remain idle and not look into the matter.

"The moment these people realized the Vanguard guild only used 10 slots, and that there were extra slots that had not been auctioned off yet used. What do you think these guilds would do?" Xu Feng explained calmly.

The water in the Divine World was way too deep and one careless mistake was enough to ruin everything.

Realization soon dawned upon Zhao Kai as he understood that if Zhao Xin truly received slots for free, they would easily find out her affiliation.

After all, whichever guild could not provide proof or evidence of their bidding would be known to have a connection with the Vanguard guild.

And this wasn't a difficult task to do, given that there were all sorts of different guilds or teams joining for this raid, who would want to investigate each other. They spent a huge fortune to earn a spot, so there was no way they would be retarded.

"Isn't Divine World just a game? How come it's more complicated than politics?" Zhao Kai frowned deeply.
